Like most of his fellow GI Joes, William 'the Refrigerator' Perry is essentially a normal human - in a manner of speaking. While the man doesn't have any super-human powers, he is rather large and obstinate - which is precisely what his job description requires!

Football On A Stick (s): since he's not intended to kill his targets - only to beat them into submission - the Fridge only carries this fun device while on duty. It's basically a football he can swing on a stick like a morning star, which lets him taunt the Joes at a slight range.

Skills:

Boxing (s): though he could throw a punch before he joined the Joe team, he's definitely better at it now. Whenever he's engaging in unarmed melee combat, the Fridge may divide his pre-card play action score between two attacks, the last of which occurs as a contingent action.

Guns (a): while he doesn't go armed with a gun when working with the GI Joe team (simply using his Football On A Stick to taunt Joe trainees), the Fridge knows how to use one, being able to fire any standard, semi-automatic, or fully automatic rifle or pistol at a reduced difficulty.

Military / United States (w): you can't get on the GI Joe team without at least getting through Basic Training, and the Fridge was no exception to this rule. His military indoctrination has given him the ability to understand the SOP, not to mention function in a fighting unit.

Sports / Football (a): it may go without saying, but the Fridge knows how to play football; just look at that Super Bowl XX ring if you need a hint in that regard. He should make all actions related to this area, whether while playing or knowing football facts, at a reduced difficulty.

Calling:

Gloryhound: the Fridge is well-known and well-loved by most Chicago football fans, and he doesn't do anything to dissuade them of this notion. Furthermore, the man has a small following as a television actor, and definitely enjoys the trappings of his relative fame.

Costume:

While training the Joes, the Fridge wears his trademark Bears football jersey with the number 72 on the front, Army green trousers, white leather boots, red, white, and blue knee pads and wrist bands, a brown leather belt, and his Super Bowl ™ ring - still the largest ever made.

Personality:

While the Fridge is like a force of nature both on the football field and while training his fellow Joes, he's also a nice guy - something that's hard to imagine upon first looking at the giant fellow. Of course, he doesn't extend this good humor to Cobra goons, no sir.

Story:

William Perry was born in Aiken, South Carolina, where he had a successful career in high school football. Quickly moving on to dominate the sport at Clemson University, he then found himself a first round draft pick in the NFL ™, being quickly snapped up by the Chicago Bears ™.

Called 'the Fridge' due to his immense, square-like physique, the man quickly grew to be a fan favorite in Chicago. Only one year after he joined the team, the Fridge participated in their Super Bowl ™ XX victory, where he was given the single largest Super Bowl ring ever.

Hey, he's a big guy.

Impressed by his strength and sheer force of personality, it was deemed a good idea to recruit the Fridge onto the GI Joe team - if not directly fighting the forces of Cobra, he'd at least help the team better prepare for said fight. To this end, he was put to work on the training field.

When he isn't playing football for the entertainment of the masses, the Joes pull the Fridge in to serve as their obstacle course for Joe trainees. Those who want to join the team essentially have to get by the Fridge, which is easier said than done - and it's not easy to say!

But the Fridge loves his job.

After all, he gets to work with the best and the brightest of all military branches, those who would be Joes - and has a hand in picking just which of these fellows have what it takes to be on the nation's most elite fighting team. While randomly trouncing people here and there.

Of course the Joes don't always need him on staff. But since he's since retired from professional football, the Fridge is more than happy to lend a hand to the Joes whenever he can. He isn't always building his personal fortunes with television appearances and barbecue sauce sales!
