Wild Boars Strength Agility Intellect Willpower 6d 4a 4d 6d Hand Size: 2 (10) Edge: 0 Origin: Wild Boars are but normal humans, lacking special powers of any variety. They do have access to a vast assortment of high tech implements as members of Destro's personal army, the Iron Grenadiers, however. As such, they can be considered high tech villains, more or less. Powers: (none) Hindrances / Augmentations: (none) Equipment: Razorbacks (i): their primary instrument with which to destroy their enemies, each Wild Boar is assigned his or her very own Razorback. This heavily armed and armored, eight-wheeled, high-velocity elevating assault vehicle is described in full detail within its own entry. Body Armor (s): in addition to partialy obscuring their features, the Wild Boars' field uniform acts as a form of armor! It provides most of their body intensity 4, or +1, protection from physical attack, though this is raised up to intensity 8, or +2, around their partially helmeted heads. Laser Pistol (a): a highly advanced sidearm, this weapon serves as a backup piece for the Iron Grenaders' Wild Boars. They may fire a beam of coherent photons from it at their foes to inflict their Agility +4 in Armor Piercing energy damage, doing so six times per charged power pack. Skills: Advanced Guns (a): carrying directed energy weapons in the field, Wild Boars are well-trained in their proper usage. Whether handling coherent laser emitters, ionized particle blasters, or any other energy caster, a Wild Boar may do so at one difficulty level lower than is usual. Boxing (s): while heavily armed and armored, Wild Boars can competently defend themselves even without their special toys. They may divide their pre-card play action score between two unarmed combat attempts, the second of which they may attempt as a contingent action. Detective / Espionage (i): when they join the Iron Grenadiers, Wild Boars are trained in numerous subversive techniques. They can use this skill to sabotage and/or spy upon nations targeted by Destro, acting to bolster the arms sales of his MARS corporation. Driving (a): specialized members of the already specialized Iron Grenadiers, Wild Boar are taught how to effectively drive most ground-based vehicles. Whenever operating one, whether a motorcycle, a bus, or even their Razorbacks, they resolve control actions at a reduced difficulty. Guns (a): the better to demonstrate their use to prospective clients, Wild Boar are continuously drilled in the use of all modern firearms. Whether standard, semi-automatic, or fully automatic, a Wild Boar may reduce the difficulty of card play related to gunplay. Military (w): Wild Boars are highly disciplined, with most developing such via some military outfit or another, and Destro supplements this with his own training regimen. As a result, Wild Boars invariably function well in a fighting unit, whether Destro's or any other. Vehicular Combat (a): Iron Grenadiers who have proven themselves to Destro have the option to become Wild Boars. They are painstakingly taught this skill, focusing on the operation of their Razorbacks, and may resolve combat card play while driving at a reduced difficulty. Contacts: Elite members of Destro's Iron Grenadiers, his Wild Boars can readily consider that organization a reliable contact. They have proven themselves both on and off the field of battle, which makes them highly valuable to both Destro and the Iron Grenadiers as a whole. Calling: Greed: like all Iron Grenadiers, Wild Boars get along with one another, and even share a modicum of camaraderie, but they aren't remotely motivated by loyalty. No, they are exclusively fueled by greed and greed alone, which is why Destro pays enough to keep even them in line. Costume: The bullet-resistant Wild Boar uniform is comprised of a red long-sleeved turtleneck, red trousers, black leather boots, a black leather belt, red leather gloves and equipment pouches, a black vest, a black cap, golden goggles, and a black (sometimes red) helmet. Notes: Candidates to join the Wild Boars are the elite of Destro's Iron Grenadiers, who were themselves the elite amongst his personal guard before enlisting in his subversive organization. Those who accept placement in the Wild Boars are subject to even more stringent training. Stressing discipline above all else, Wild Boar training prepares them for their future role as vehicular combatants. While it doesn't stress leadership principles, it helps them maintain a much greater situational awareness, instead of focusing on their own, personal plight. This helps Wild Boars to wield the Razorback vehicles they are assigned much more efficiently than before. And while their skills give them the ability to do so, their higher pay and MARS stock options absolutely give them the motivation they require to succeeed!
