Origin:

As are the rest of his fellows on the elite GI Joe team, David is naught but a normal human. While he may seem possessed of super human stamina, the man is just the same as you or me - assuming that both you and me are in amazing physical condition, and are highly trained in military operations.

Known Powers:

(none)

Equipment:

Assault Rifle: his primary martial implement, this weapon can be used by David to inflict serious damage. It can be fired to inflict Typical (6) Shooting damage in a single shot, +1 CS in a short burst, and +2 CS damage in a full-auto spread. It also has a large 'scope on top, for a +1 CS to hit in ambush conditions.

Knife: David always carries a blade with him on missions, for you never know when something (or someone) requires a good cutting. Made from Incredible (40) m.s. metals, this blade can be used to slice through items of up to a like m.s., and allows David to inflict Edged Attack damage in melee.

Semi-Automatic Pistol: a back-up for his assault rifle, this sidearm also comes in handy when using his 'big gun' is somewhat impractical. David can fire this weapon to inflict Typical (6) damage with a single shot, or Good (10) Shooting damage in a semi-automatic hail of lead.

Quirks:

(none)

Talents:

Detective / Espionage: David has something of a background in espionage work, having been active in various subversive operations and enemy infiltrations during his time with the S.A.S. Regarding information gathering techniques, David should make attempts to acquire such at a +1 CS.

Guns: one of David's essential military skills, this talent describes his ability to utilize most any firearms in battle. Whether he's wielding a standard, semi-automatic, or fully automatic rifle or pistol, or even esoteric weapons like shotguns, David may do so as though his Agy was +1 CS in rank.

Martial Arts type B: another vital military skill, honed to a fine degree both with the S.A.S. and the GI Joe team, this talent represents David's ability to defend himself should he be rendered unarmed. Whether punching, kicking, head butt-ing, or whatever, David does so at his Ftg rank +1 CS.

Military / United Kingdom: unlike the vast, vast majority of the GI Joe team members he works with, David was not trained by the U.S. military machine; in fact, he received his martial education from his homeland, the United Kingdom. However, he's a quick study, and can function Joe-style just fine.

Contacts:

Thanks to a sort of GI Joe / S.A.S. exchange program, David has been incorporated into the GI Joe team (though who replaced him in the S.A.S. hasn't been revealed as of yet). As such, he can count the Joes as reliable contacts, as he can with both the United States and United Kingdom militaries.

Costume:

David's second uniform is rather similar to the first, if different in hue. It includes red trousers, a red shirt under a dark red leather jacket with 'furry' red cuffs, a red leather belt, light gray leather boots, light gray leather gloves, a red and white cap, and black camo paint all over his face.

Personality:

David is a tough fellow; the man is a cut above most others in his field, and he knows it. Of course he's all business when on the job, and gives a mission his all - this, of course, because the man gets a rise out of doing everything right - it's why he's kept himself in such good shape all these years!

Real Name: David J. Bennett, grade Staff Sergeant
Occupation: subversive operations
Legal Status: citizen of the United Kingdom with no known criminal record
Marital Status: single
Alias(es), if any: none
Group Affiliation: GI Joe, the S.A.S. (Special Air Service)

Height: 5' 9"
Hair: light brown
Eyes: brown
Weight: 160 lbs
Other Distinguishing Characteristics: none

Story:

Competence is something that David strives for, and has been his underlying motivation for most of his adult life. For instance, the S.A.S. entrance exam includes a thirty mile march over the worst terrain in Britain, carrying fifty pounds of gear; while he had twenty hours to finish this, David did it in but twelve.

David received his initial training Bradbury Lines Barracks in Hereford, and was on cadre with the N.A.T.O. Long Range Recon Patrol School in West Germany. Though most of his activities in the Special Air Service are classified, it is assumed that David took part in the Falklands campaign.

Not to mention various other, covert operations. His expertise in such areas made him one of the best S.A.S. ops around, which got him a position, oddly, on the GI Joe team. While not an American citizen, he was assigned to the group 'on loan' in a sort of exchange program between the U.S. and the U.K.

Which Joe was assigned to trade places with him has yet to be identified, however.

Regardless, David began to serve with the Joes shortly after the debacle in Trucial Abysmia, which marked a rather large increase in Cobra's aggressive tendencies in the world. In fact, his first mission saw him working with the Joes in Scotland, protecting Destro from Cobra Commander's wrath.

David saw plenty of further action with the Joes while he was with them, but the team was eventually disbanded in '94, which meant that he had to return to his regular duties with the S.A.S. Over time, though, the threat Cobra posed to the world increased to the point that the GI Joe team had to be reinstated.

A short time after this occurred, David was again made available to GI Joe, and this time on the job, he acted as one of several Arctic specialists that the team employed; after all, he's had several years to pick up new skills. He works with the GI Joe team intermittently at this point.

When the Joes need him he's ready for their call, but otherwise David is at home in the United Kingdom, serving with pride and excellence in the nation of his birth - which is where he did his part in the fight against Cobra when that group instigated World War III itself!
