the Manta Ray

The Manta Ray is a small, inflatable 'shark proof' commando raft, that is fitted with several advanced combat features. It sports an upper deck that rests atop the raft proper, which provides its occupants a minor amount of protection from small arms fire.

Of course, this platform also allows for the addition of a missile launcher! The Manta Ray has these characteristics:

Communications Gear (i): the Manta Ray is equipped with a gigahertz frequency, frequency wobbler clandestine operations radio system. This makes for intensity 5 communications power (with a 25 mile range), that features intensity 10 signal encryption.

Missile Launcher (i): the sole armament on the Manta Ray, this weapon allows it to go toe to toe with much larger craft - assuming they go down in the first hit. It can only fire one projectile at a time (but has two spares for reloads), which inflict intensity 10 fragmentary damage.

Rugged Construction (s): the Manta Ray is built rather tough for an inflatable raft. Once inflated, it supports a steel deck that offers its riders intensity 4, or +1, protection from incoming attack. Of course, the whole thing is 'shark proof', as the raft is puncture-resistant.

Super Swimming (a): the Manta Ray is rather fast for a steel-plated, inflatable raft. The thing can move at intensity 1 lightning speed, or roughly 30 miles per hour (about 26 knots). Definitely beats swimming - especially when sharks are around!
