Crossfire Strength Agility Intellect Willpower 7d 7c 4x 5d Hand Size: 3 (17) Edge: 1 Origin: Like military men and women that comprise the GI Joe team, Crossfire is a completely normal human. While highly skilled, he lacks metahuman abilities of any sort, be they from freakish happenstance, physical mutation, a mystical background, or anything else. Powers: (none) Hindrances / Augmentations: (none) Equipment: Knife (s): stored in a boot sheath when not in use, this utility blade is made from m.s. 13 metals. It can either be used to cut through materials of up to like m.s., assuming enough time at hand, or can be used to inflict +2 slashing damage in melee combat. Machine Gun (a): his primary martial implement, Crossifre may fire a single round from this weapon to inflict his Agility +4 in damage, a three-round burst to inflict his Agility +5 in damage, or fire it continuously to inflict his Agility +6 in damage. Sidearm (a): his backup piece, in case his machine gun is taken out, this standard semi-automatic handgun can inflict some damage as well. It can either discharge one round, inflicting his Agility +4 in damage, or a three-round burst, inflicting his Agility +5 in damage. Skills: Boxing (s): while he's a gunner, and a rather good one at that, Crossfire has been trained in unarmed fighting techniques as well. He can divide his pre-card play action score between two unarmed melee attacks, the last of which he may attempt as a contingent action. Guns (a): it may go without saying, but Crossfire's quite handy with firearms. Whether it be a standard, semi-automatic, or fully automatic rifle or pistol, or even an oddball projectile weapon like a shotgun, Crossfire can wield any firearms in combat at a reduced difficulty. Military / United States (w): the source for most of his talents, this 'background' skill represents Crossfire's intensive military training. It allows for his instinctual knowledge of military protocols and procedures, and accounts for a large number of his Military contacts. Repair / Tinkering (a): ever since he was a wee youth, Crossfire was always taking things apart, hoping to see what makes them tick. As such, Crossfire may reduce the difficulty of card play called for whenever he's repairing and/or modifying existing electromechanical items. Contacts: Though he's one of their newer members, Crossfire is nonetheless a part of the GI Joe team, and can easily rely upon members of that organization for assistance in a pinch. Furthermore, Crossfire has numerous additional military contacts, who have yet to be detailed. Calling: Explorer, with a secondary calling of Soldier: it's true that Crossfire is a soldier, and truly enjoys his job, but it's ultimately a secondary concern. You see, he truly digs tearing into things to see how they work, and the Joes have a whole lot of gear for his inquisitive mind to study. Costume: Crossfire wears a conventional uniform while working with the Joes, which consists of a camouflage green, long-sleeved shirt, as well as a camouflage green pair of trousers. Further, he wears a brown leather belt, brown leather boots, and two ammo belts strapped over his shoulders. Personality: Bill has always been inquisitive, forever trying to find the wheres and whys behind something, whether it be a machine gun or an automobile engine. Enamored with the military lifestyle since he was a child, he applies his skills to the martial world, and enjoys helping America with them. Real Name: Bill White, grade E-7 Occupation: machine gunner Legal Status: citizen of the United States with no known criminal record Marital Status: single Alias(es), if any: none Group Affiliation: GI Joe Height: 6' Hair: brown Eyes: brown Weight: 170 lbs Other Distinguishing Characteristics: none Story: As a child, Crossfire was more fascinated with how his toys worked than with actually playing with them. For instance, he took his toy guns apart to tinker with their innards rather than play 'war', and his front room was a menagerie of parts and pieces come Christmas morning. When he was eight, Crossfire journeyed to Fort Bragg to visit an uncle, and he was forever changed. You see, he witnessed the grunts chopping down trees with their big ol' Quad-50 cannons, and he was hooked; Crossfire found that he loved the military, and almost everything about it. On this trip, the young Crossfire was befriended by the Base Command's Sergeant Major, who taught him various military tricks, like how to disassemble and reassemble most small arms. With all this stuff swimming in his head, it was inevitable that Crossfire would enlist in the Army. And he did, too. Armed with his mechanical skills and an indefatigable enthusiasm, Crossfire couldn't help but excel, and the Army decided he'd be a great machine gunner. Specializing in the operation of heavy weapons, Crossfire was right at home, and truly loved his job. His joy at work enhances his performance, as his concentration is absolute, which gained him the notice of a GI Joe recruiter. Now that he's participating in the never-ending war against Cobra, Crossfire has truly come into his own, for Cobra will always have more goons to ventilate!
