Like the vast majority of his GI Joe fellows, Brian is but an unpowered, normal human - he lacks mutation based super powers, sorcerous learnings, and psionic schooling. While just a 'mere mortal', however, he's very well trained in his fields of expertise, enough so that he's no mere pushover.
Assault Rifle: his primary combat implement, this fully automatic weapon (resembling a modified AK-47) can be fired to inflict Typical (6) Shooting damage in a single shot, Good (10) Shooting damage in a small burst, and Excellent (20) Shooting damage in a full auto spread of lead.
It's also equipped with a scope on top, allowing Brian to hit anybody with five areas without penalty.
Flashlight: useful when digging about in the deepest of jungles - or in an enemy's offices at night - this illuminating tool allows Brian a plethora of nocturnal mission options; but then, most flashlights do. This thing can produce Excellent (20) illumination for about twelve hours on its batteries.
Gun Station (v2): occasionally Brian will be assigned a heavy fire support role, and is given a Gun Station with which to lay down cover fire. This is basically a heavy duty swivel-mount rocket launching platform that is easily assembled in the field, and is described in its own 'vehicular' entry.
the Joe-Com: this is a new device given to all Joes since the group's reactivation. This high-tech wristband functions as an audio/video transceiver with various other goodies built in to help a soldier on the go, and is described in greater detail in its own equipment entry.
Knife: a necessity when traversing through jungle terrain - whether for hacking through brush or when dealing with volatile fauna - this is one of Brian's most trust-worthy tools. Made from Incredible (40) m.s. metals, this blade can be used in his hand to inflict his Strength rank in Edged Attack damage.
Pistol: while his assault rifle is much more effective in combat, it never pays to have a back-up - or to save the big guns for real emergencies. Brian's back-up piece can be fired to inflict Typical (6) Shooting damage in a single shot, or Good (10) Shooting damage in a semi-automatic hail of lead.
Survival Gear: Since it's part of his job description, Brian carries a bunch of gear to assist his survival should he wind up in a jungle environ; while he can survive with literally nothing, this stuff is handy. His gear includes emergency rations, compasses, a G.P.S. system, various maps, and lots more.
Temper 2: while he may be a hotshot Army intelligence guru, Brian isn't flawless - oh no. He has a problem with terrorists and other evildoers: they tend to set off his immense temper. If faced with such folk, he has to pass a Psyche FEAT at -2 CS to resist the urge to take 'em apart (if he wants to resist).
Detective / Espionage: one facet of Brian's military training is an extensive background in modern espionage techniques. When digging up clues to solve a mystery, attempting to surveil a target, or otherwise doing sneaky spy-stuff, he should receive a +1 CS to any FEATs directly related to such.
Guns: basic military training has given Brian the ability to use most any firearms, even if he is more familiar with some than others. Whether his current weapon is a standard, semi-automatic, or fully automatic rifle or pistol (or even a shotgun), Brian can fire it as though his Agility was +1 CS in rank.
Martial Arts type B: additional basic military education has also given Brian the ability to defend himself in a scrap, should he find himself otherwise unarmed. Whether throwing a punch, flinging a kick, smashing an elbow, or even butting a head, Brian may do so as though his Fighting was +1 CS in rank.
Military / United States: as a member of Army intelligence as well as the GI Joe team, Brian sort of picked up this skill by default. In addition to giving him an innate understanding of American military policies and procedures, mastering this talent also allowed for all of Brian's other handy talents.
Psychology: a master of psychological warfare that could make Psyche-Out proud, Brian is rather good at manipulating the minds of others while on an operation, or otherwise guessing a foe's methods and possible actions. When using this skill in such a fashion, Brian does so at a +1 CS.
Survival: another facet of Brian's survival training is that he can scrounge up the food, water, and shelter required to survive in almost any climate. Having had specific training in arctic, jungle, and urban survival, he can get along just fine almost anywhere on earth - starting from scratch!
As a member of the GI Joe team, Brian can naturally rely on most, if not all of his fellows for aid in a pinch; after all, the Joes are a rather tight-knit group when you get down to it. Of course, he's also got quite a few contacts of an unspecified nature, mostly in military and espionage circles.
Brian wears his second GI Joe uniform while working with the Tiger Force. It includes green and gray camo pants, a tan T-shirt with black tiger stripes and 'brawler' written on it, black leather boots and fingerless gloves, and a light brown leather belt with a silver buckle.
His third uniform is pretty similar to his second, really. It includes green and gray camo pants, a tan T-shirt with black 'spots' on it, gray leather boots and gloves, a brown leather belt with a silver buckle, and brown webbing to hold his knife sheath and other gear.
While he's quite smart, logistically speaking, Brian is hamstrung by his intense temper, not to mention his intolerance of anybody threatening freedom and liberty. His almost irrational patriotism has caused him to exceed the bounds of countless intelligence missions, but you can't argue with his results.
When thinking of Brian, just picture him as the quintessential loose cannon.

A particularly patriotic man, Brian entered the Army at an early age and quickly excelled, so much so that his superiors thought he'd be a good candidate for Army Intelligence work. He in fact was, and over the years the man has participated in countless operations against various terrorist groups.
When in the course of his work it became apparent that Cobra was behind the majority of terrorist activity on earth, Brian decided to join the GI Joe team. While the group has several intelligence ops, you can never go wrong with more spies in the ranks (at least, if they're working FOR you), so he was a shoe-in.
Once he made it onto the Joe team, Brian was able to take his fight to the source of his bane, and has managed to serve as the Joe team's liaison to the United States Army Intelligence and Security Command at the same time. This definitely keeps him busy, but then, Brian really loves his work.
In addition to being a good intelligence operative, though, Brian also has a natural affinity for jungle environs, and doubles as a jungle trooper for the Joe team. This works out quite well, as many of Cobra's most secret bases are hidden well within the deepest, hairiest jungles on earth.
While he is a newer addition to the GI Joe team, and has several 'temper' issues to resolve when in the field, Brian is nonetheless a valuable member of the group. He brings more to the team than his bombastic, violent nature detracts from it, and as such is a natural fit for the elite military organization.
