the Freedom Defense Outpost The final addition to the GI Joe BTR (Built to Rule) line of prefabricated, field-adjustable devices, the Freedom Defense Outpost is mainly a small tower and motorcycle combo that come together in an almost ready to use, some assembly required package. The tower can be configured in two separate fashions, depending on the specific needs of the Joes using it - and the environment it is assembled within. The motorcycle can have varying armaments, depending on if you want to save the heavy stuff for the tower or the bike. In either configuration, the Freedom Defense Outpost has these capabilities: Body Armor (s): regardless of its configuration, the Freedom Defense Outpost is built tough. Its components are made from m.s. 13 materials, and offer like, or +3, protection against physical attacks for those who are sheltering behind (or within) its walls. Communications Array (i): the Freedom Defense outpost is equipped with an extremely powerful, gigahertz-frequency, frequency-wobbler radio system. This makes for intensity 7 communications power (with a 100 mile range), that features intensity 10 signal encryption. Machine Guns (a): the Freedom Defense Outpost has four gun mounts. Mode 1 keeps all four in the tower, while mode 2 splits them between tower and cycle. They inflict one's Agility +5 in damage if firing short bursts, or their Agility +6 in damage when fired continuously. Missile Launchers (i): the Freedom Defense Outpost has three missile launchers. Two can be placed on the motorcycle (mode 1), or all three can be retained for use on the tower's roof (mode 2). The projectiles they fire inflict intensity 11 damage each. Radar Unit (w): in either mode, the Freedom Defense Outpost has the use of a large radar unit, situated high above the Outpost on a pole. It can scan the area around the Freedom Defense Outpost with intensity 4 ability, letting it monitor movement within ten miles of its location. Scout Cycle (i): this small vehicle is a scout that a Joe can use to gain intel on the area surrounding the tower proper. It will be equipped with either two missile launchers (mode 1) or two machine guns (mode 2), depending, and it moves with intensity 4 Propulsion. Shape Change (a): the whole point of BTR technology is that it can be field-modified by just a few Joes in little time. The Freedom Defense Outpost can be quickly changed from a defensive to an offensive configuration in a couple minutes by a highly motivated group of Joes. The defensive configuration gives two missile launchers to the scout cycle, retaining all four machine guns for itself. It is mainly constructed to a) offer a garage housing for the scout cycle, and b) serve as a reconnaissance platform on the second level for Joes to keep tabs on an area. The offensive configuration instead gives the scout cycle two machine guns, retaining all three missile launchers. It is mostly built to a) provide a staging area for assaults, as well as to b) provide durable defense for the GI Joe team's support group while they provide cover for such.
