Nothing in his background has given him super-human abilities of any type. However, he does occasionally wield advanced military gear, as the Joes are often ahead of the curve in testing new technology. Known Powers: (none) Limitations / Enhancements: (none) Equipment: Communications Gear: featuring encryption of rank value 30 complexity, this military-issue handset allows Sightline rank value 10 ability to communicate with other soldiers in the field (within 25 miles), and to transmit the coordinates of enemy locations to friendly aircraft. Helmet: Sightline's helmet has two functions. It protects against head injuries, providing him rank value 10 defense versus physical attacks striking him in the cranium, and also has a mirrored red visor that provides him similarly valued Screened Senses for his vision. Knife: Sightline always carries a blade on his person. Made from m.v. 40 materials, Sightline can either use this tool to cut through items of up to like m.v., given enough time, or to inflict his Brawn value in Slashing damage damage during melee combat. Laser Range Finder: aiding his job as an anti-aircraft support operative, Sightline carries a powerful infrared laser. Invisible to the naked eye, the rank value 20 intensity light it produces can be picked up by aircraft above, painting and/or locating targets for its weapon systems. Rifle: his primary combat implement when forced to fire on the enemy, this powerful weapon allows Sightline to strike targets from a considerable distance. Having a 44 sector (one mile) range, it discharges large rounds that inflict rank value 10 Piercing damage each. Sidearm: holstered on his right leg, this weapon is a convenient backup in the event that Sightline's rifle isn't handy. He can fire a single round from this piece to inflict rank value 6 Piercing damage, or a short burst of such to inflict rank value 10 Piercing damage. Quirks: (none) Skills: Guns: a part of his Army basic training, Sightline can use almost all conventional firearms with proficiency. Whether he's toting standard, semi-automatic, or fully automatic rifles or pistols around, Sightline may fire such weapons as though his Coordination was +1 RS in value. Marksman: this skill describes Sightline's ability to wield heavier ordnance. When utilizing line-of-sight weaponry, such as missile launchers and massive-caliber cannons, Sightline may do so at a +1 RS to his Coordination trait, disregarding penalties for range all the while. Martial Arts style B: another facet of his Army basic training, this skill describes Sightline's ability to defend himself while unarmed. He may attempt any unarmed combat strikes, from punching to kicking to elbow smashing, at a +1 RS to his listed Melee trait. Military / United States: an origin of sorts for Sightline, this talent accounts for pretty much all of his skills. His Army training has given him an inherent understanding of military policies and procedures, on top of additional, floating military contacts. Stealth: where his uniform leaves off, Sightline's training marches on! Well-versed in techniques to resist visual detection, Sightline excels at avoiding the attention of his foes! Sightline's efforts to remain inconspicuous apply a -1 RS to Awareness ACTIONs intended to spot him. Contacts: As a member of the GI Joe team, especially one with as dangerous a job as is his, Sightline can readily rely upon his fellows for assistance, should he but ask. A lifetime of service has also likely earned Sightline countless additional, as of yet unrevealed contacts. Costume: Sightline's GI Joe field uniform includes a long sleeved monochrome camouflage shirt (with red bicep patches), monochrome camouflage trousers, light gray leather boots and gloves, a black leather belt, black kneepads, a black helmet, a gray face mask, and red mirrored goggles. Personality: Having always imagined himself fighting the 'bad guys' as a child, it was a cinch that Gary would eventually enlist in the military to do just that. He feels himself lucky to have found himself in a military outfit as highly motivated to protect his country as he is. Real Name: Gary Goggles, Grade E-6 Occupation: anti-aircraft weapons specialist Legal Status: citizen of the United States with no known criminal record Marital Status: unrevealed Alias(es), if any: none Group Affiliation: GI Joe Height: 6' Hair: unrevealed Eyes: unrevealed Weight: 180 lbs. Other Distinguishing Characteristics: none known. Story: When he was a child, growing up in Chicago, Sightline spent many a day in garbage trucks. While there, he whiled away the time imagining he was riding in a tank, fighting it out with the various dumpsters and bins the family business was contracted to collect refuse from. Though the fantasy action faded over time, the urge to fight the good fight didn't, and when he was able to, Gary enlisted. Highly motivated and eager to learn, Gary went places in the Army, moving up through the ranks and serving his country by working in military air defense. When working defensively, Sightline pinpoints the position of enemy targets for allied aircraft to destroy. If assigned more aggressive work, Sightline carries anti-aircraft weaponry into the field, shooting down enemy vehicles in support of surface and air personnel. Perfoming work valuable to any military mission, Sightline was invited to join the GI Joe team due to his proven record in the field, and he readily accepted. Then, once he avoided falling victim to the attrition inherent to the Joes' notorious entrance exam, Sightline was in! His missions with the Joes often sees Sightline working with Ace, feeding him precise human intelligence which allows that fighter pilot to demolish enemy forces with an absolute minimum of unintended casualties or collateral damage. And to both of these Joes, that's a win-win!
