the Hurricane

Built to harrass the innermost defenses of Cobra's foes, the Hurricane is a powerful ground support aircraft. Sporting a blue fuselage and gray wings, the Hurricane showcases a compact, forward-thinking design more than capable of competing with its predecessor, the Rattler.

Featuring side and rear wings that pivot simultaneously, the Hurricane has full vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) capabilities, letting it stop or start on a dime. That, on top of its numerous armaments, allows a Hurricane's pilots to combat their enemies almost anywhere on earth.

Technically speaking, the Hurricane has these vehicular characteristics:

Handling
RV 30
Velocity
RV 150
Durability
RV 30
Protection
RV 20

75mm Cannons: mounted beneath the Hurricane's canopy are dual 75mm cannons. These twinned weapons inflict rank value 30 Piercing damage when activated momentarily, or rank value 40 Piercing damage when fired continously, striking anything in front of the aircraft.

Air-to-Surface Missiles: its primary offense, the Hurricane enjoys ten of these when fully loaded: three on each rear wing, one on each side wing, and two under its fuselage. They inflict +1 RS damage for each doubling of projectiles that hit simultaneously, and behave as follows:

Handling
RV 20
Velocity
RV 150
Durability
RV 20
Damage
RV 30 Slashing (fragmentary)

Cobra-band Radio: Cobra gear uses a communication system of its own, not beholden to conventional broadcast standards. The Hurricane in particular has comm gear with rank value 30 range (500 miles, optimally), and benefits from rank value 20 signal encryption.

Direct Neural Interface: unlike most Cobra aircraft, the Hurricane can connect directly with the central nervous system of its pilot - assuming they feature a like interface. When so connected, Vapors (or anyone else so equipped) adds eight (8) points to their IPS.

Flight / Levitation: thanks to its innate VTOL capabilities, the Hurricane can hover in place or scream about at supersonic speeds. Due to it possessing this ability at rank value 150, the Hurricane's pilots may go from zero to seven hundred and fifty miles per hour at will.

Radar Array: in addition to using RF signals to communicate with other Cobras, the Hurricane can itself track air or ground targets with rank value 30 ability. This helps it to keep an enemy's aircraft at bay while demolishing their troops and vehicles on the ground!

VTE-490 Drone: parked on the Hurricane's rear stabilizer when not in use, the Hurricane features an added offensive feature when accosted while in the air. This miniature, unmanned aircraft can launch a single air-to-air missile (same abilities as the above), and behaves like so:

RV 20
