the Ice Sabre

Another effort in Cobra's cold weather arms race with GI Joe, the Ice Sabre is a treaded vehicle that organization can use to seize territory at or near the earth's poles. Propelled from the rear by a large tread, it can glide over snowy surfaces thanks to twin skis at the front.

One unique feature of the Ice Sabre is its cockpit, which consists of a rotating chamber that holds up to three Cobras at once, allowing the crew to switch duty stations as is necessary in the midst of combat or other activities. The Ice Sabre has an m.s. of 11, and these features:

Body Armor (s): the three Cobras riding within the Ice Sabre benefit from significant protection from injury. The dual-lined titanium tub encasing the vehicle's cockpit provides its occupants intensity 12, or +3, protection from injury.

Cobra-band Radio (i): Cobra gear uses a communication system of its own, not beholden to conventional broadcast standards. The Ice Sabre in particular has a transceiver which operates with intensity 5 range (25 miles), and benefits from intensity 9 signal encryption.

Flamethrower (a): this front-mounted weapon allows the Ice Sabre to clear a path through ice and snow it cannot traverse, though it works on personnel as well. This flamethrower inflicts intensity 10 2x SD energy damage thanks to the burning jelly it projects at its targets.

Gatling Guns (a): mounted on each side of the Ice Sabre, behind its cockpit, are two rotary-barrelled machine guns. They can rotate and elevate, each inflicting one's Agility +6 in damage when firing a short burst, or their Agility +7 in damage when fired continuously.

Neutronic Missiles (i): the rear of the Ice Sabre is equipped with a launcher that can hold up to four projectiles at a time. Despite their name, these are conventional rocket-propelled explosives, which inflict intensity 10 damage each, raised by +1 for each extra missile that hits.

Propulsion (a): with its long and narrow profile, the singular tread on the Ice Sabre can move it faster than you'd expect over snow and ice. Possessing this ability at intensity 2, the Ice Sabre can move at speeds of up to sixty miles per hour when necessary.

Personnel Stations: ringing the three-person cockpit of the Ice Sabre, these twin platforms allow numerous additional Cobras to cling to the vehicle in a pinch. Each can hold up to three people at a time, allowing up to six hangers-on to ride along with those within.
