* Incinerators generally know either Boxing or Martial Arts, but not both. If an Incinerator goes with Boxing, he or she will have a d code for Strength and a c code for Agility, but if they go with Martial Arts, they will have an x code for Strength and a b code for Agility.

Origin:

Incinerators are high tech villains. They lack special powers granted by errant genetics, occult shenanigans, or psionic indoctrination. However, they can inflict grievous harm with their flame weaponry, which they themselves are protected against by their advanced uniforms!

Equipment:

Catapult (a): allowing them to project force at a considerable distance, Incinerators carry small catapults which can lob burning blobs of liquid at their foes! Working within artillery distance, these weapons can inflict intensity 12 SD energy damage in a fragmentary fashion.

Fire-Resistant Suit (s): Incinerators always wear this active ensemble while on the job, because they're liable to be killed by their own weaponry otherwise. Primarily, this air conditioned, multi-layered suit provides them intensity 16, or +4 protection from both fire and heat damage.

Flamethrower (a): the Incinerators' primary weapon, this tried and true military implement can fire a jet of fiery liquid at a person or object to inflict intensity 14 SD energy damage, -2 if used to cover all within near missile distance with the flaming jelly that this thing emits.

Helmet (s): ostensibly part of their fire-resistant suits, this headgear provides Incinerators additional protection from injury in the field. In addition to their heat-shielding, these implements provide Incinerators' heads intensity 8, or +2, protection against physical assaults.

Skills:

Boxing (s): Incinerators are well-versed in the art of self defense. For some, this takes the form of the boxing skill, which lets them divide their pre-card play action score between two unarmed melee assaults, the second of which will occur as a contingent action.

Guns (a): all Cobra operatives have the ability to wield firearms in combat, and Incinerators are no exception to this rule. They may discharge any standard, semi-automatic, or fully automatic rifle or pistol at one difficulty level lower than is ordinarily called for.

Marksman (a): assisting them in the use of their man-portable catapults, this skill describes Incinerators' ability to wield line of sight weaponry. Whether it's their usual gear, a rocket launcher, or even a torpedo, Incinerators can fire such weapons without range penalties.

Martial Arts (a): Incinerators are well-versed in the art of self defense. For some, this takes the form of the martial arts skill, granting them a reduction in the difficulty of actions intended to dodge attacks, catch thrown weaponry, or to strike in unarmed melee.

Military (w): like most Cobras who have moved through the ranks somewhat, Incinerators have mastered this skill, assuming they didn't bring it with them. It allows them to function effectively within a combat unit, giving them insight into Cobra's byzantine organizational structure.

Contacts:

Cobra operatives with a dangerous job, Incinerators are generally appreciated by their fellows. Sure, you get the occasional crazypants with a flamethrower amongst their ranks, but those madmen aside, the Incinerators can generally rely upon their peers for aid in a pinch.

Calling:

Various Callings: like many Cobra operatives, Incinerators can have numerous motivations for their criminal activities. However, what stands out most amongst this corps is the Demolisher calling, since so many of them relish the opportunity to burn all in their path.

Costume:

The Incinerators uniform is a fire-retardant suit! Primarily orange in hue, this garment is accentuated with red chest padding and gloves, black boots, chrome shin guards, wrist guards, belts, and web gear, and a chrome helmet with a red, see-through face plate.

Notes:

Incinerators bring the flame in battle! Given a protective, air-conditioned suit and several means with which to project fire at everything in their path, Incinerators are cut loose on Cobra's foes, immolating personnel, equipment, and structures with equal skill and fervor.

Considering Cobra's typical membership, the Incinerator corps attracts a large number of pyromaniacs, not to mention those who simply want to watch the world burn. Thus, these guys often have a bad reputation despite their overwhelming effectiveness in the field.

On the other hand, numerous Cobra operatives jockey for a position in the Incinerators because they wield one of mankind's most ancient, and in their mind the most effective, of weapons. These elite soldiers artfully practice their craft, burning their targets with precision and care.

The main problem is that it is often hard to tell which Incinerator you're dealing with until they're hip-deep in burning matter, which can be an issue when you need them to stop crisping the surroundings. That and, you know, enemies often prioritize their liquidation!
