Origin:
After the destruction of Pittsburgh, the so-called Black Event, Jimmy the Geek developed the useful parability of super hearing. However, it came with a cost, greatly enlarging this small-time thug's ears, which has led him to feel - and act - like a freak.
Powers:
Super Senses / Hearing (w): his singular parability, this power allows Jimmy to hear far better than anyone else. Functioning at intensity 16, it lets him perform all manner of tricks based on sound, but renders him -4 to resist sound-based assaults on his person.
Hindrances / Augmentations:
Abnormal Apperance: one of the so-called parabnormals, Jimmy the Geek was forever branded a paranormal thanks to the changes his power wrought upon his appearance. His ears are now huge relative to the size of his head, making it difficult for him to pose as a normal.
Equipment:
(none)
Skills:
Crime (i): even before the Black Event forever changed him, Jimmy the Geek was a hoodlum - and not a very good one, at that. Despite forever thinking small, he should be given a reduced difficulty on actions of a criminal nature he attempts - save for efforts at disguise, anyway.
Contacts:
Though Seraph isn't fond of him, Jimmy the Geek has nonetheless become one of the Forsaken. This band of paranormal outcasts generally looks out for each other, feeling that no one else will, and as a result Jimmy can consider them a reliable contact for the most part.
Calling:
Outcast: Jimmy readily lashes out at others he feels is mocking him, sometimes violently. Highly insecure because of his ostensibly ridiculous appearance, he'll put the screws to others whenever he isn't taken seriously, but often manages little else of consequence.
Costume:
Jimmy the Geek doesn't have a costume so much as a singular ensemble. It primarily consists of a denim jacket with Grateful Dead emblazoned on the back, and numerous pins worn on the front. The rest includes patched up jeans, tattered high-top sneakers, and a T-shirt.
Personality:
Jimmy the Geek is small-time. Even before he developed his power, he was a low-grade hoodlum in a similarly low-grade gang. The side effect of manifesting his parability has only made him nastier than he was before, mad at the world for seemingly rejecting him and his weird ears.
Real Name: James (last name unrevealed)
Occupation: hoodlum
Legal Status: citizen of the United States with a probable criminal record
Marital Status: single
Alias(es), if any: none
Group Affiliation: the Forsaken
Height: 5' 6"
Hair: brown
Eyes: brown
Weight: 130 lbs
Other Distinguishing Characteristics: his ears! This side-effect of his parability has forever branded Jimmy the Geek abnormal, as not even a hat can disguise the fact that he's been touched by one of the Events. Each of his ears is the same size as his entire face.
Story:
Jimmy the Geek was a low-rent goon who ran with a small-time gang of hoodlums in Philadelphia when the Black Event occurred. The utter destruction of Pittsburgh, this calamity was essentially a second dose of the same power that bathed the world during the White Event.
Though he missed gaining powers during the first Event, Jimmy the Geek won the paranormal lottery after the second, though 'winning' might be abusing the term. This is because, while he manifested the parability of super hearing, Jimmy's ears swelled in size.
Rejected by his fellow thugs, who incessantly mocked his appearance instead of making use of his power for illicit gain, Jimmy was easy pickings for the Forsaken. This band of paranormals collected those who were rejected for their parabilities, and Jimmy happily joined them.
He asked their chief enforcer, Seraph, to get back at his former peers first, however. And Seraph, considering himself the protector of all paranormals, happily did so. Used to acting as muscle, Seraph cheerfuly took Jimmy's old buddies apart, even cutting one's hand off!
Jimmy asked Seraph to join him in coming to the Pitt-Aid concert soon afterward, and though he wasn't too impressed with Jimmy, Seraph indeed did so. When he attended the event, however, Jimmy found himself fixated on Angela Tensen, however, though the feeling wasn't mutual.
At all. In fact, after groping her while she waited in line for the Port-O-John, Angela decked Jimmy... hard. Pursuing her after she fled into a temporary toilet, Jimmy was thrown around by her father, Justice, who was also on hand to keep a protective eye on his daughter.
Though he wasn't intending to harm Jimmy, not really, Justice irked the ire of Seraph, who came to Jimmy's rescue. Admonishing Jimmy for his lousy behavior, Seraph seemingly abandoned him before turning his full attention towards Justice, a paranormal he had great issue with.
After this debacle, Jimmy made his way to the Forsaken's lair, hidden within the depths of Coney Island. In time, most ordinary folks fled the area, both because of paranormal sightings and because of the volcanic ash raining down on the area from the still-forming Mount Pitt.
There, Jimmy made himself at home, doing the bidding of the Forsaken's leader, Judge Mental, when he wasn't continuing his small-time thuggery. As fate would have it, Justice eventually came calling after the Forsaken, searching for several of his friends they'd captured.
As he'd been joined in this outing by his daughter, Angela, Jimmy saw this as a perfect opportunity to gain revenge on her for rejecting his sad advances. When violence erupted, however, Angela quickly took Jimmy out of the fight, banging cymbals together next to his head.
Immobilized by pain after this terrible cacophony, inflicted while he was using his parability to try and track her around Coney Island, Jimmy was useless for the rest of the melee. What he got up to after this, particularly with the Forsaken's leadership being slain, is unknown.
