Story:

A highly motivated young woman, Rebecca Chambers worked her way into a prestigious position in the Justice Department after years of training, both in college and via the government. Having earned her job, Rebecca was given a great task upon beginning her work with them.

Investigating the Villalobos family, leaders of a violent Colombian drug cartel operating in the States, she was looking into their actions at the Factory, a hot nightclub in New York City. Posing as a wealthy cocaine user, she visited the club one night in July undercover.

Backed up by Hoyt Pittman, an FBI operative posing as her chauffeur, Rebecca met with another undercover agent, Jean-Paul, who got her into the Factory. However, Jean-Paul had been turned by the manager of the Factory, Marty, and was setting Rebecca up to ruin her investigation.

Marty was working a double-cross, though. Tricking the Villalobos brothers into attacking Jean-Paul, they busted into the VIP lounge where Rebecca and Jean-Paul were talking. Firing his submachine gun into the room, Nestor Villalobos struck several innocent bystanders.

Just then, a mysterious stranger who had wormed his way into the VIP lounge struck out with an inexplicable power, reducing Nestor's very body to ash! When the corrupted Jean-Paul picked up Nestor's weapon, that stranger trained his powers on him as well, disintegrating him!

Recovering from her brush with the paranormal, Rebecca drew her weapon on the mysteriously powerful stranger while he fought Chango Villalobos, attempting to arrest him. However, the appearance of Hoyt behind her distracted her enough that her quarry was able to escape.

Giving chase, Rebecca caught up to her target on the roof of the Factory, right after he eliminated the establishment's manager, Marty. Arresting him before he could turn his lethal powers on her, she dragged him downtown with the assistance of Hoyt, though the perp doesn't resist.

Thinking the matter done, Rebecca was nonetheless summoned to the station when the strange man she arrested insisted on talking only to her. By this time, of course, he'd straight-up murdered several of his fellow inmates in lockup, so you can imagine how happy she was about this.

Upon reuniting with the man she'd arrested, Rebecca began to interrogate him, at which point he spun a wacky yarn about being a Justice Warrior from another world. Rolling her eyes, she was unimpressed with his yammering about her golden aura, at least until he kissed her!

Drawing her gun on the suspect, Rebecca was about to shoot him when the police station was invaded by hairy beast men! Fighting them off alongside the so-called Justice Warrior, Rebecca started to give his ridiculous story a bit more due to the mounting evidence before her.

Before Rebecca could prevent it, the self-identified Justice broke the necks of several of these so-called Hounds. Rebecca fired several rounds to stop him, but he easily deflected Rebecca's rounds. Justice then walked right out of the police station, and nobody tried to stop him!

Seemingly disappearing without a trace, Justice eluded Rebecca until a concerned citizen called the cops, letting them know a weirdo fitting her suspect's description had hired him to drive him to Los Angeles. Grabbing a car with Hoyt, she then set out after the taxi driver.

Catching up with Justice in Oklahoma, near the Texas border, Rebecca and Hoyt met him at Rosie's Diner. Though Hoyt was suspicious of the man, Rebecca was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, feeling an inexplicable bond with him after their meeting in the police station.

After a series of tense discussions, Rebecca joined Justice, Hoyt, and taxi driver Arnie in his cab, and continued their collective journey to Los Angeles. However, something had corrupted Hoyt in the rest room at Rosie's, and it leapt from his body to attack Justice en route!

Though Justice fought off the thing that had nested within Hoyt, Rebecca's fellow government agent was slain due to its actions, and Arnie's cab was wrecked in the resultant fight. The others didn't fare much better, with Arnie hospitalized, and Justice having lost his murder hand.

Though Rebecca found a doctor in Texas to help Justice, it took him several weeks to recover from the damage caused by that which killed Hoyt, after which time his hand fully regenerated. While Justice recovered, Rebecca looked into his target, a man by the name of Damon Conquest.

While numerous other government employees tried to stymie her, Rebecca eventually dug up everything the Justice Department had on the man, and realized that it lined up with much of what Justice had told her - all the weirdness about other dimensions and magic notwithstanding.

Giving him the information, Rebecca stayed behind as Justice went to face Conquest, a conflict the paranormal declared was 'beyond' Rebecca. After that was resolved, Justice reunited with Rebecca, and the two then went after Conquest's master, the evil Daedalus Darquill.

Tracking him down in Baja California, the two did battle with Darquill and his many minions, including the underling that was responsible for Hoyt's death, Tattoo. The fight in Darquill's home came to a standstill, prompting him to forge a portal to another universe!

Evacuating himself and his underlings to the Far Side, the world Justice ostensibly issued forth from, Darquill made his escape. However, Tattoo abducted Rebecca when the chance prevented itself, dragging her along for the ride, leaving her at the mercy of Justice's foes.

While Rebecca's memory was scrambled as a result of her crossing the universal divide, Daealus Darquill and Damon Conquest went to work on her mind with their own, incredible powers. Over time, even as her memories slowly returned, they corrupted her motivations and intentions.

Turning her to their cause over several months, these villains totally corrupted Rebecca, making her hate Justice. In fact, they eventually sent Rebecca to kill Justice as he sought to sort out recent issues inside his own head, though she ultimately failed in this.

Sensing how Darquill and Conquest had totally destroyed who she used to be, Justice deflected her automatic gunfire back at herself, wounding her in the process. Professing his love for her and grief at the loss of her, Justice then broke her neck to put her 'out of her misery'.
