Origin:

Physically speaking, Doctor Bruno Varoz was a normal human, even if one in slightly ill repair. However, his keen mind, twisted in dark directions by his gibbering insanity, has produced numerous abominations of science - minions he uses to terrorize the people of earth!

Known Powers:

(none)

Limitations / Enhancements:

(none)

Equipment:

Artificial Blood Formula: quite possibly his greatest creation, this compound could be used by Doctor Varoz to reanimate the dead. Reborn with crime on the brain, these dread revenants happily do Varoz's bidding, and are described fully in their own character description.

Scepter: the wand he wields whilst directing his hunchbacks and other assorted minions in their labors, Doctor Varoz usually carries this implement with him at all times. A stick with some sort of ornament on top, he can likely use it to inflict +1 RS Bashing damage in melee.

Quirks:

Insanity: once a brilliant neurosurgeon, Doctor Varoz tragically lost his mind under unknown circumstances. He has since surrounded himself with various aberrations of science which perform his bidding, creatures that can only be considered monsters!

Skills:

Electronics: though his specialty lies in the modification of biological materials to one end or another, Doctor Varoz has also demonstrated the ability to produce various devices of a high powered, electrical nature. His Intellect in this area should be considered +1 RS.

Genetics: in addition to his force of hunchbacks and living corpses, Doctor Varoz has created at least one monster, a two-headed abomination that defies all logic. This beast was presumably created thanks to advanced yet highly unethical gene splicing techniques.

Medicine / Neurosurgery 2: Doctor Varoz is not just a surgeon, he's a master of various techniques to cure what ails the brain. He has turned this talent to evil, however, using it to modify various beings to serve his diabolical, irrational aims.

Contacts:

Doctor Bruno Varoz has few contacts. Having been shunned by the medical community, he can primarily rely upon his hunchbacks to do his bidding, though it is unknown if he created or simply hired them. He also has an army of living corpses, and a giant, two-headed monster!

Costume:

Though a doctor, Doctor Varoz has abandoned the conventional garb worn by what used to be his peers. Instead, he mainly relies upon a large purple robe, baggy purple trousers, and brown leather shoes in his day-to-day endeavors - but then, he doesn't really dress to impress.

Personality:

Bruno Varoz is completely insane. Though he originally became a doctor to help his fellow man, he has since become obsessed with conquering the world, and is more than ready to commit various atrocities of science to impose his will on the planet earth!

Real Name: Doctor Bruno Varoz
Occupation: mad scientist, former neurosurgeon
Legal Status: citizen of unknown nationality, legally deceased
Marital Status: presumably single
Alias(es), if any: none
Group Affiliation: none

Height: 5' 9"
Hair: brown
Eyes: blue-green
Weight: 150 lbs
Other Distinguishing Characteristics: the Doctor is in terrible shape. His beard grows in haphazardly, he is missing various teeth, his nose is large and appears to have been broken in several places, and his eyebrows, which rest atop his beady little eyes, are quite bushy.

Story:

Very little has been revealed about the background of Doctor Bruno Varoz. Formerly a distinguished neurosurgeon, the Doctor lost his mind at some point. Whether this was due to an ironic ailment of the brain or reckless self-experimentation, the world may never know.

Regardless of why he devolved into this state, Doctor Varoz abandoned his practice and disappeared from the world of men for a time. Forgotten by his peers, Doctor Varoz appropriated a small island near Cuba, where he forced his hunchbacked minions to build him a small keep.

There, the mad Doctor began work on his various abominations of science. While one of these, a giant two-headed monster, was rather impressive in and of itself, the Doctor's greatest work was the creation of an artificial blood formula - with which he could reanimate the dead!

Having perfected the formula, Doctor Varoz birthed his very first living corpse, strange revenants programmed to do evil in his name. After his hunchbacks appropriated hundreds of corpses from nearby America, the Doctor transformed them into a legion of unstoppable criminals!

Instructing them to pillage and loot the entirety of America, Doctor Varoz saw his living corpses travel far and wide, spreading mayhem and murder in their wake. The danger he created was so great that the President of the United States himself asked Professor Zog for aid.

Immediately deploying his own masterwork, Electro, Professor Zog went toe to toe with Doctor Varoz's living corpses, and proved their better. Furthermore, as some of his corpses fled to his island with purloined loot, Electro followed them right to Varoz's very doorstep!

Momentarily disposing of Electro by having his two-headed monster pitch the mechanoid into a massive tank of boiling acid, Varoz prepared to gloat. But unfortunately, Electro's handlers managed to send it the power it needed to escape Varoz's acid bath, and other death traps.

Seeking to end the madman's menace once and for all, Professor Zog had Electro throw Varoz into his own acid tank, delivering unto him the fate that he had planned for the Marvel of the Age. Not nearly as resilient as Electro, Varoz died in mere moments from this brutal attack.

And if that wasn't enough, Zog called in a military airstrike on Varoz's island, demolishing his castle while his corpse was still busy dissolving within! The Marvel of the Age then tracked down all of Varoz's living corpses that it could find, and tore them apart.

Whether or not any of Varoz's hunchbacks, living corpses, or even his two-headed monster survived this onslaught remains to be seen.

Doctor Varoz's two-headed monster was a creature of immense stature. It was at least twelve feet tall, with green and yellow skin that was mostly covered with shaggy fur. Each of its heads possessed a large, cyclopean eye, along with one ear with which to hear (on opposing sides).

It is unknown if it was created by Varoz or found by him somewhere, but either way, it is a formidable combatant. It possesses rank value 4 Growth, which provides it a +1 size factor, as well as rank value 4 Resistance to Cold, and both the Claws and Fangs powers.

As is the case with his two-headed monster, it is unknown whether or not Doctor Varoz created his hunchbacks himself or simply acquired them over time. Either way, Miguel, Simon, and his other two hunchbacks have no special abilities, but suffer from the Deformity quirk.

You know, due to their hunchbacks.
