* Amongst humans, at least. RV +30 to fellow Decepticons, RV -30 where Autobots are concerned.

Origin:

As are the other Transformers who awoke on earth after millions of years in stasis lock, Reflector (and his component Decepticons) is a mechatronic entity from the planet Cybertron. Almost all of his ascendant abilities are derived from his incredible, alien origin.

Known Powers:

Cybertronian Physique: home of the Transformers, among many other mechanoid life forms, Cybertron is a strange crucible of evolution, indeed. As one of this bizarre world's dominant life forms, Reflector possesses numerous inherent powers, including the following:

* Body Armor: either forged or formed long ago, from primarily metallic alien substances, Reflector is somewhat sturdy. He has the benefit of rank value 6 protection from attack, which, when combined with his sheer size, lets him scoff at human assaults. His body armor works as follows:

RV 6 / RV 2 / RV 0 / RV 0 / RV 0

* Growth: Cybertronians don't really stick to a conventional volume, unlike most life forms primarily comprised of solid matter. All three of Reflector's humanoid robot forms stand at approximately twelve feet tall, which gives them this power at rank value 4.

These surveillance operatives thus possess a +1 size factor. This inflicts a -1 RS penalty to hit when they target human foes, but adds a +1 RS to any damage they inflict. On the other hand, humans benefit from a +1 RS to hit Reflector's units, while they in turn inflict -1 RS damage.

* Microscopic / Telescopic Vision: all of the Transformers possess the ability to adjust their optical acuity, when either viewing things very small or very far away. All of Reflector's units possess these powers at rank value 2, as a general matter of course.

When combined and transformed into their camera mode, Reflector can make use of vastly more potent telescopic vision. This power works for him (or for just Viewfinder, when he relies upon his massive built-in lens) at rank value 75, allowing him staggering visual range.

* Radio Transceiver: almost all Transformers, including the various Decepticons that comprise Reflector, are equipped with a complex audio / video transceiver. Working at rank value 20, this component grants Reflector's bits a one hundred mile radio communications range.

* Resistance / Invulnerability to Disease and Poison: Spectro, Spyglass, and Viewfinder, the Decepticons that make up Reflector, are inorganic. They're completely immune to organic plague and toxins, and have rank value 100 protection from other forms of these threats.

* Shrinking: though normally of large stature, Reflector possesses the ability to shrink in his camera mode, allowing him to be handled by those of varying size - even normal humans! He can shrink with rank value 20 effectiveness, becoming as small as four inches tall.

Body Doubles: perhaps their strangest ability by far, the Decepticons who comprise Reflector seem to have the ability to duplicate themselves. They can greatly increase the apparent amount of Decepticons present in a battle, this power working at (at least) rank value 4.

Corporeal Gestalt: Spectro, Spyglass, and Viewfinder are three Decepticons who, upon transforming, may merge into the powerful camera known as Reflector. While in this configuration, they can record photos and video for extended periods of time, at Spectro's discretion.

Infravision: in addition to being able to photograph others in the visible spectrum, even at a staggering distance, the Reflector camera can perceive infrared light as well. It may do so with rank value 75 ability, making it hard for others to hide from his sinister gaze.

Light Generation: the flash bulb on Reflector, which is also inherited by Spyglass in his robotic mode, can be used to blind foes instead of just illuminating the area for a good shot. This unit can emit bursts of up to rank value 75 intensity, blinding light.

Missile Generation: while Reflector's flash bulb unit is effective at disabling foes as well as brightening up one of his shots, it is also equipped with a potent missile launcher. The projectiles it can fire possess these vehicular characteristics:

Handling
RV 75
Velocity
RV 50
Durability
RV 20
Damage
RV 20 Slashing (fragmentary)

Shape Change: unlike many Transformers, the Decepticons who comprise Reflector cannot really do much in their alternate modes - each transforms into one third of a camera. Once they merge their forms, however, Reflector's component villains may at least be used to take photos.

Transparent Vision: by altering how his lens focuses upon matter, Reflector can look right through it! He possesses this advanced optical ability at rank value 75 effectiveness, which allows him to peer as far as 75 yards into a given mass.

Limitations / Enhancements:

(none)

Equipment:

Lens Laser: Viewfinder's pride and joy, not to mention his only offensive capability, he can fire his lens laser to devastating effect. Emitting a powerful laser beam, this weapon will inflict rank value 10 Armor Piercing Energy damage with each destructive discharge.

Optic Blaster: this powerful weapon, which emits cohesive blasts of light energy, can be used to inflict concussive Force upon Spyglass' foes - which grows particularly easy after he blinds them. This weapon inflicts rank value 20 damage with each deadly burst.

Shutter Gun: overall, Spectro lacks an offensive capability entirely, outside of his fists. This is because his weapon, the Shutter Gun, merely coats targets with a chemical that makes them easier to track visually, in all wavelengths, with rank value 75 ability.

Quirks:

(none)

Skills:

Artist / Photography: it may go without saying, but Reflector considers all of his jobs works of art in progress - even boring surveillance duty. Should he produce a particularly moving (to him, anyway) photo on a given week, Reflector should gain ten Fortune points.

Detective / Espionage: while he likes to go above and beyond in each photo he takes, Reflector's true job is merely to record and report. In order to do so, he must first know how to find the right spot where the right people are doing the right things, and he excels at such tasks as well.

Contacts:

As one (well, three) of the Decepticons, Reflector can usually rely upon his fellows for help while performing his duties. Unless, of course, his current compatriot(s) have been on the receiving end of one of his many blackmail schemes. At that point, all bets are off!

Likeness:

In his gestalt, camera mode, Reflector perfectly resembles an old-style camera. When he transforms, however, he splits into three distinct robots, each of which are approximately twelve feet tall, though they differ in hue.

While all three of his component Decepticons feature gray in their color schemes, Spectro is mainly red and black, Spyglass is primarily blue and black, and Viewfinder is green and dark blue. Of course, all three feature glowing red eyes of evil. Because evil!

Personality:

The three Decepticons who combine to form Reflector share several traits in common. For one thing, they're all consummate voyeurs, enjoying watching people, places, and things in their environment with great zeal. Though generally of one mind, the trio do differ in personality somewhat.

Spectro is something of a simple-minded lout. He doesn't like to take control of anything, because he fears being blamed whenever anything goes wrong. However, he doesn't mind lording the fact that he controls when Reflector takes photos over his two siblings / compatriots.

Spyglass, on the other hand, possesses a singular focus on his work, whether he be surveilling others or simply serving on guard duty. He is generally unimaginative, but gleefully eggs Viewfinder on once their 'fearless leader' has cooked up some silly scheme or another.

While he cannot control when Reflector takes photos, Viewfinder is the leader of the trio that comprise this incredibly versatile Decepticon surveillance configuration. Happy to abuse the knowledge gained through his work, he'll blackmail anyone he finds dirt on - no matter the risk.
