Red Alert is a Transformer, a shape-changing mechanical life form hailing from Cybertron: a world that is of indeterminate and variable distance from our own. He possesses a variety of special powers related to his electromechanical, inorganic physiology.

Powers:

* Body Armor (s): made (or formed) from primarily metallic materials, Red Alert is considerably durable. His sturdy, inorganic composition affords Red Alert intensity 4, or +1, protection from attack, enough to help him ignore most conventional human assaults.

* Growth / Shrinking (a): Cybertronians come in all manner of sizes, few of which align with humans. Red Alert, for instance, generally stands at eighteen feet tall in his humanoid mode, which grants him this power at intensity 4 as a general matter of course.

As such, this Autobot security chief possesses a +4 size factor. He thus suffers a -4 when targeting human-sized foes, but gains a +4 on any damage he inflicts against them. Conversely, human-sized foes assaulting him do so under the reverse of those modifiers.

While this assumes a static volume, many Transformers have demonstated that their size can be highly variable. This reflexive, dynamic size manipulation is an emergent property of Transformers overall, though such mass displacement must surely consume vast amounts of power.

These dynamic volume shifts are most often used when transforming, and enable Transformers to interact with beings of differing sizes without further modifications being required of them. This ultimately allows Transformers to wield or ride within their fellows seamlessly.

* Microscopic / Telescopic Vision (w): all Transformers have the ability to alter their visual sensitivity where distance is concerned. Functioning at intensity 2, these powers let them see objects up to a mile distant with ease, as well as allowing them to read items on microfiche.

* Radio Transceiver (i): as are most Transformers, Red Alert is equipped with an audio / video transmission system. This communications rig allows him instant contact with any other Cybertronian within a wide radius of his person, having intensity 7 range (100 miles).

* Resistance / Invulnerability to Disease and Poison (s): as an inorganic life form, Red Alert possesses complete immunity to poisons and organic diseases. He also possesses intensity 30, or +7, resistance to more chemically creative forms of disease.

Headlights (i): to better emulate earthen vehicles (and since they come in handy in the dark), Red Alert is equipped with a set of convenient headlights. These twin lamps can be used to generate intensity 8 illumination, making driving at night no problem.

Rocket Launcher (i): in his humanoid mode, Red Alert is equipped with a surface-to-air missile launcher on his right shoulder. These missiles have a maximum range of 25 miles, and can inflict intensity 10 damage with each deadly impact.

Shape Change (a): whenever he desires, Red Alert can transform between his humanoid and Lamborghini Countach LP500S modes, and often does so quickly in battle to maximize the use of his abilities. When he's a Lamborghini, Red Alert can move at 160 MPH (intensity 5 speed).

Super Senses (w): Red Alert features numerous additional bolstered senses beyond the above. These intensity 14 sensors allow him to identify substances as dilute as 2 parts per million by scent, and allow him to hear something as faint as a whisper over a mile away.

Equipment:

Particle Beam Rifle (a): when fighting foes slightly closer than his missiles are designed for, Red Alert brandishes this weapon at them! Emitting a powerful particle beam, it can be used to inflict intensity 8 Armor Piercing slashing damage with every attack.

Skills:

Law Enforcement (w): not only his job but his calling, Red Alert has taken his job as the Autobots' security director very seriously. Constantly researching the latest in law enforement techniques, Red Alert has gained the Advanced Guns and Law skills as something of a bonus.

Contacts:

Red Alert is one of the Autobots! Sure, his paranoid overreactions to every conceivable threat annoys them to no end, but Red Alert's allies know how earnest he is in the pursuit of his duties, so they (mostly) give him a pass, and would help him if he really needed it.

Calling:

Guardian: Red Alert takes this calling to the ultimate logical extreme. Paranoid to a fault and deeply concerned about the well-being of his fellow Autobots, Red Alert relentlessly seeks out threats to his friends and family

Likeness:

In his vehicular mode, he resembles a white Lamborghini Countach LP500S, with red trim and red flashing lights on top. In his humanoid configuration, Red Alert looks like a robot built from white and red Lamborghini parts, with black lower legs and a black 'helmet'.

Personality:

It's not an attempt at sass to accuse Red Alert of being alarmist. While you want a small amount of paranoia in your security personnel, Red Alert takes this to a ludicrous extreme, constantly panicking over even the slightest whiff of a threat to his fellow Autobots.

This tendency is exacerbated by his enhanced sensors. His capability of detecting even minute hints of danger is enough to send him spiraling when he senses them, causing Red Alert to endlessly annoy his Autobot allies when he makes what seems to them another false alarm.

The Autobots may grumble about the constant alerts Red Alert sends them, but they tolerate them - albeit minimally - because they know it comes from his earnest need to protect them. The only Autobot who consistently pesters him about this is his good buddy Inferno.

This is usually enough to at least minimally rein Red Alert's worst anxieties in. Usually.
