Origin:

Like all other Predacons, Gas Skunk is an electromechanical being from Cybertron, an evil robot that has waged war against the heroic Autobots in a bid to conquer the universe. This alien may also be from another time period, making him doubly out of place on earth.

Powers:

Cybertronian Physique: like his fellow Predacons, Gas Skunk is a robotic entity of Cybertronian origin. As such, this noxious combatant has, by his very nature, the use of a large variety of abilities that reflect this. His very body gives Gas Skunk these super human powers:

* Body Armor (s): made (or formed) from primarily metallic materials, Gas Skunk is considerably durable. His sturdy, inorganic composition affords Gas Skunk intensity 8 (+2) protection from attack, enough to make him strongly resistant to most basic human assaults.

* Growth (a): Cybertronians come in all manner of sizes, few of which align with the human norm. Gas Skunk, for instance, normally stands at approximately nine feet tall in his humanoid mode, which grants him this power at intensity 1 as a general matter of course.

As such, this special operative has a +1 size factor. This grants him a +1 bonus to the damage he inflicts on normal sized foes, while theirs suffers a -1 against him. Conversely, he suffers a -1 penalty to strike standard sized enemies in the first place, while they gain a +1 to hit him.

* Microscopic + Telescopic Vision (w): all Transformers can alter their visual sensitivity where distance is concerned. Functioning at intensity 2, these powers let Gas Skunk see objects up to a mile distant with ease, and allow him to read items on microfiche.

* Radio Transceiver (i): as are most all Transformers, Gas Skunk is equipped with an audio / video transmission system. This communications rig allows him instant contact with any other Cybertronian within a wide radius of his person, having intensity 7 range (100 miles).

* Resistance / Invulnerability to Disease and Poison (s): as an inorganic life form, Gas Skunk possesses complete immunity to poisons and organic diseases. He also possesses intensity 30 (+7) resistance to more chemically creative forms of disease.

Claws (s): both of Gas Skunk's forms are armed with powerful claws with which he can tear his opponents to shreds. Regardless of which form he's currently in, Gas Skunk can use these claws in melee to inflict damage as though they were +2 weapons per deadly slash.

Fangs (s): in his beast mode, Gas Skunk is armed with a very large pair of fangs with which to rend his foes into little itty bitty pieces. Gas Skunk can use these dreadful sharp implements as though they were +2 weapons, causing considerable damage to whoever he's currently biting.

Gas Skunk Attack (s): his namesake, this ability allows Gas Skunk to emit a foul, acidic gas from his mouth that can cover all within near missile distance. This gas inflicts intensity 9 damage to whoever wanders into it, and obscures regular vision with like intensity.

An additional, little-known ability that Gas Skunk has is the emission of a second form of gas, one that causes those who are exposed to it to have fits of uncontrollable laughter. This gas affects organic and mechanical life forms equally well, and functions at intensity 9 ability.

Infravision (w): Gas Skunk has the ability to see into the infrared portion of the electromagnetic spectrum, which comes in handy when setting up nocturnal ambushes and the like when foes simply can't see clearly. He has this power at intensity 14, and can use it in both of his forms.

Left Laser (a): part of the Predacons' field squad, Gas Skunk is armed with a left shoulder-mounted laser (concealed under a circular panel). This powerful laser inflicts damage per a +5 energy weapon with each blast, raised to +7 when used with the others.

Shape Change (a): as can be guessed by looking at various parts of his anatomy, Gas Skunk has the power to transform into a large skunk, one of a seemingly techno-organic nature. Gas Skunk is equally at home in both of his forms, being able to use most powers in either.

Skunk Tail Attack (s): Gas Skunk can use his serrated tail to strike his foes in either of his forms, inflicting damage per a +4 weapon with every deadly strike. The extra claw grip on its end allows him to cut through materials of up to material strength 18, too.

Time Bombs (i): while his left shoulder has his group-oriented beam weapon mounted within, Gas Skunk also has a secondary attack loaded into his right shoulder. Namely, he can use it to fire intensity 10 bombs which inflict fragmentary damage, and can reach out to firing distance.

These bombs can be set for any length of time that Gas Skunk desires.

Skills:

Demolitions (a): part of Gas Skunk's special place in the Predacons' ranks involves his blowing things up! Whenever attempting to destroy a vehicle, structure, or any other large object with either explosives or his special powers, Gas Skunk should do so at a reduced difficulty level.

Electronics (i): while he is equipped with a large variety of physical weaponry, Gas Skunk often resorts to the use of high tech devices in his various missions. That, and his skill with the innards of such devices, should reduce the difficulty on any attempt to use or repair them.

Natural Weapons (s): his primary combative skill, aside from his predisposition towards large, unspecified implements of destruction, this skill describes Gas Skunk's prowess in the use of his inherent physical weaponry, which he can use to attack at one difficulty level lower than usual.

Contacts:

As a Predacon, Gas Skunk can theoretically rely on any of Megatron's minions for assistance in a pinch. However, he tends to work with Dark Scream and Slapper more than the others, and usually sides with Sky-Byte in disputes between the Predacons and the Decepticons.

Calling:

World Domination: like the majority of the Megatron's minions, Gas Skunk is in the fight for the glory that conquest brings. He wants nothing more than to take over the universe, or at least a small portion of it, in order to force his will upon it and its occupants.

Likeness:

When in his skunk mode, Gas Skunk looks like a large, brown and orange robotic skunk, with chrome trim. In his robot form, he appears to be a similarly colored humanoid robot, one built from robotic skunk parts, and seems to wear a Japanese-style red 'mask' on his face.

Personality:

Gas Skunk is the 'dandy' of the Predacons, more flighty and prone to distraction than his many robotic compatriots. However, he is highly efficient in demolitions work, and truly enjoys reducing something to a pile of smoking, twisted rubble - be it a building or an Autobot in his path!

Story:

Gas Skunk is one of several Predacons working for Megatron, a powerful Cybertronian warrior that journeyed to modern-day earth with various evil schemes in mind. Exactly how Gas Skunk came to be in Megatron's service, as well as what time period he's actually from, is still a mystery.

Regardless, he came to earth with Megatron and the other Predacons, only to find that the planet was lousy with Autobots; somehow, the heroic Cybertronians knew well in advance that Megatron and company were on their way, and had quite a lot of time to prepare for their arrival.

Gas Skunk is a special operations soldier, who isn't dedicated for a particular environment, unlike Slapper and Dark Scream. His more generalized abilities make him well suited for work in any locale, which allows him a little more 'wiggle room' for victory than his two 'side kicks'.

This trio's missions mostly involve fetching something or other for either Megatron or Sky-Byte, Megatron's lieutenant. However, something seems to always goes wrong with their plans, and they usually fail outright - but Gas Skunk and company have had their fair share of successes.

With the arrival of the Decepticons on earth, Megatron relied on his Predacons less and less. This caused increasing tension between the two groups of evil Cybertronians, which came to a head when the Decepticon leader, Scourge, tried to bump off Galvatron (an enhanced Megatron).

After this, Gas Skunk and his fellow Predacons returned to their leader's good graces, though they were ultimately defeated in their bid to take control of the mightiest Autobot of all, Fortress Maximus. Captured after their defeat, the Predacons were locked up in a penal asteroid colony.

Whether or not Gas Skunk will ever escape this imprisonment has yet to be revealed.
