Origin:

Like all other Predacons, Slapper is an electromechanical being from Cybertron, an evil robot that has, with his compatriots, waged a war against the heroic Autobots in a bid to conquer the universe. This alien may also be from another time period, making him doubly out of place on earth.

Known Powers:

Cybertronian Physique: like his fellow Predacons, Slapper is a robotic entity of Cybertronian origin. As such, this amphibious combatant has, by his very nature, the use of a large variety of abilities that reflect this. His very body gives Slapper these super-human powers:

* Body Armor: like most Cybertronians, Slapper came on-line with a reinforced steel frame, one that offers him rank value 20 resistance to injury. While not as durable as some of the larger Predacons, Slapper is still rather resilient. His defense breaks down like so:

* Growth: Cybertronians come in all manner of sizes, few of which align with the human norm. Slapper, for instance, stands at approximately nine feet tall in his humanoid mode, which grants him this power at rank value 2 as a general matter of course.

Unlike most Cybertronians on earth, this leaves Slapper with a size factor of zero (0). Though he's quite powerful in his own right, Slapper is generally at a disadvantage when battling larger robots - which is why he usually works alongside Dark Scream and Gas Skunk.

* Microscopic / Telescopic Vision: all Transformers have the ability to alter their visual sensitivity where distance is concerned. Functioning at rank value 2, these powers let Slapper see objects up to a mile distant with ease, as well as allowing him to read items on microfiche.

* Radio Transceiver: as are most Transformers on earth, Slapper is equipped with an audio / video transmission system. This communications rig allows him instant contact with any other nearby Cybertronians, having rank value 20 range (100 miles).

* Resistance / Invulnerability to Disease and Poison: as an inorganic life form, Slapper possesses complete immunity to poisons and organic diseases. He also possesses rank value 100 resistance to more chemically creative forms of disease.

Barbs / Claws: both of Slapper's forms are adorned with a plethora of spikes across his body, as well as claws on all of his fingers and toes. He can use these weapons to inflict his Brawn value (50) in Slashing damage with every deadly strike.

Fangs: in his beast mode, Slapper is armed with a very large pair of fangs with which to rend his foes into itty bitty pieces. He can use these in battle to inflict his Brawn value (50) in Slashing damage with every bite; it's not stronger than merely brawling, just more deadly.

Grabber Claw: a sort of 'third arm' mounted on top of Slapper's left shoulder pad, this diamond-tipped, three-fingered claw is about as extendable as his tongue. Slapper's grabber claw inflicts rank value 30 Slashing damage, and can cut through materials of up to m.v. 75.

Right Laser: Slapper is armed with a right-shoulder mounted laser (under his 'toothy' shoulder pad) that he usually uses in tandem with his compatriots. This laser inflicts rank value 20 Armor Piercing Energy damage per deadly blast, raised +2 RS when used with the others.

Shape Change: as can be guessed by looking at various parts of his anatomy, Slapper can transform into a large, almost demonic horny toad. This form makes his amphibious activities more effective, but for the most part, Slapper can use most of his abilities in either of his forms.

Super Jumping: Slapper has strong, frog-like legs in both forms. As such, can leap vast distances in a single bound, doing so at rank value 100; this allows him to cover one sector (120 feet) straight up or forward, or two sectors (240 feet) down, without harming himself at all.

Super Swimming: when in his beast mode, Slapper can move underwater with as much ease as he does above the waves. Furthermore he can swim with a truly impressive speed, torpedoing through the seas with rank value 20 speed (68.18 miles per hour).

Tongue-lash Attack: Slapper's principal attack form is the use of his elongating tongue, which can stretch up to 42' 3" in a pinch. He can use this tongue to inflict his Brawn value (50) in Bashing damage to anybody within the sector he occupies.

Of course, Slapper can also use the tongue to attempt Grab maneuvers, snatching weapons or other small objects from an area (or even from opponents), not to mention its highly effective use as a grappling weapon, which he can easily use to partially - or fully - restrain an Autobot foe.

Ultravision: Slapper has the rank value 30 ability to see into the ultraviolet portion of the electromagnetic spectrum, which comes in handy when setting up nocturnal ambushes or other attacks when others simply can't see clearly. He can use this ability in both of his forms.

Skills:

Computers: Slapper has demonstrated the ability to commandeer and reprogram computer systems of varying complexities. As such, he should have full use of this skill, allowing him to make any computer operation / programming ACTs at a +1 RS to his Intellect trait.

Skill / Whips: Slapper has also proven his effectiveness with whips and whip-like weapons, like his tongue-lash attack and his grabber claw. He can use these weapons, and other similar implements of destruction, to attempt grabbing, grappling, and damaging attacks at a +1 RS.

Underwater Combat: his horny toad form especially designed to operate beneath the waves, Slapper has considerable experience in scraps underwater (or in any other liquid medium). As such, he suffers no penalty for any actions attempted underwater, combat related or otherwise.

Contacts:

As a Predacon, Slapper can theoretically rely on any of Megatron's minions for assistance should he need it. However, he tends to work with Dark Scream and Gas Skunk more than any of the others, and usually sides with Sky-Byte in disputes between the Predacons and the Decepticons.

Likeness:

In his horny toad mode, Slapper looks like a very large, robotic toad made from red and black metals, with eerie green eyes. However, when he transforms, the perpetually crouching Slapper appears to be a humanoid robot built from various components of a large, demonic steel toad.

Personality:

Slapper is the swindler of the Predacons, more sneaky and surly than his evil fellows. Despite his impressive abilities, this marsh warrior is just as inept as the other Predacons, and usually bungles whatever job Megatron or Sky-Byte gives him. He's usually spoiling for a fight nonetheless.

Oddly, Slapper has an unnatural fondness for earth beers, even though he cannot actually be affected by their alcohol content - he just likes the taste of them. When not busy on a mission for his superiors, Slapper can usually be found drinking somewhere or other.

Story:

Slapper is one of several Predacons in the service of Megatron, a powerful Cybertronian warrior that journeyed to modern-day earth with various evil schemes in mind. Exactly how Slapper came to be in Megatron's service, as well as what time period he's actually from, is still a mystery.

Regardless, he came to earth with Megatron and the other Predacons, only to find that the planet was lousy with Autobots; somehow, the heroic Cybertronians knew well in advance that Megatron and company were on their way, and had quite a lot of time to prepare for their arrival.

Though he is primarily a marshland warrior, one who excels in terrain that allows him to make maximum use of his amphibious form, Slapper usually finds himself in all kinds of environments on his many assignments, in which he's always accompanied by Dark Scream and Gas Skunk.

This trio's missions mostly involve fetching something or other for either Megatron or Sky-Byte, Megatron's lieutenant. However, something seems to always goes wrong with their plans, and they usually fail outright - but Slapper and company have had their fair share of successes.

With the arrival of the Decepticons on earth, Megatron relied on his Predacons less and less. This caused increasing tension between the two groups of evil Cybertronians, which came to a head when the Decepticon leader, Scourge, tried to bump off Galvatron (an enhanced Megatron).

After this, Slapper and his fellow Predacons returned to their leader's good graces, though they were ultimately defeated in their bid to take control of the mightiest Autobot of all, Fortress Maximus. Captured after their defeat, the Predacons were locked up in a penal asteroid colony.

Whether or not Slapper will ever escape this imprisonment has yet to be revealed.
