Technoholic Formula Changes - Year 6!
April 8th, 2004: continued work on the dwarves section of the v13 thing a bit more, having added Granite to the mix. That's two, meaning my minimal coverage of these folks is complete. The hope throughout the next few months is to continue the 'filling out' of the vital areas of the Agency 13 Database...
April 1st, 2004: completed work on the first full-figured Warrior of Thor, him being Clarence 'Tex' Goldberg. I'm also working out the kinks on a 'standard' entry for Thor's own, not to mention a couple of the more colorful and interesting Warriors (hopefully as interesting as those new D.A.A. guys).
March 25th, 2004: I didn't really get all that much done this week, mostly spending the time doing research on the cast of my Agency 13 book. I haven't read some of those latter stories for quite some time, so I forgot exactly what I decided some of them could do. Will have stats for them soon...
March 18th, 2004: hey, I'm not hopped up on drugs any more. Of course, I'm still sort of sluggish, and as such haven't gotten too much done. I did finally research just what powers I gave Elys in her techno-form dingus, so I've added that to her entry, finishing the Tenacious Ten at last. Whee!
March 10th, 2004: hey, I'm all hopped up on drugs! As such, I did some writing, adding two issues to two of the v13 titles, getting them current. I also added a complete description of Seńor Barnett, not to mention two Classic renditions of both Mike 013 and Sir Tophat, completing their entries at LONG last.
March 4th, 2004: found the new GI Joe Night Force set, so I set to on that. I added Tunnel Rat to the '87 Joes roster, and upgraded Beach-Head, Flint, Nunchuk, Roadblock (again!), and Short-Fuze to cover their new uniforms, and added the Joe-Com to Ripcord and Law and Order. Just one more guy to go...
February 26th, 2004: I finished Variant Earth 13's Posse Pillory, adding AceTone, Mágico and Nonce to finish that villain team at long last. Of course, the latter took me forever, since I do believe that was the single longest character description I've ever written (thanks to his Pokémon and sentient blade).
February 19th, 2004: another v13 focus week, sorry about that. Added Article II to the D.A.A. roster, the Seven Dimensional Man to the Mindwatch / Posse Pillory roster, Mister Matter to the Solo Mercs area, Och to the dwarves area after creating it, and of course a generic 'dwarf' description.
February 12th, 2004: this Technohol (c) weekend, turned Technohol (c) week, has gone well. Did almost all the 'meat' for the v13's Direct Action Americans, having provided descriptions for Bruno, Directors Red, White and Blue, Kansas Bob, Six-fingered Tommy, and generic D.A.A. thugs - that's a lot of progress!
February 5th, 2004: though I started him a while ago, I haven't gotten to finishing him up until now. 'Him', of course, is the most recent Marvel Boy, who had his own six-issue limited series a while back, and you can check him out in the Miscellaneous character library as we speak!
January 29th, 2004: as a slight break from the GI Joe stuff (which I'm making good progress on, actually), I decided to cover a few NPCs from my v13 game. This one, about five years coming, is a member of the Direct Action Americans and Mindwatch, the action addict known as Time Out.
January 22nd, 2004: still working to get the Joe's new releases taken care of, I finished up a description of Agent Faces I'd been meaning to put in the '03 part of the GI Joe reference for about a week now, and even got around to adding updated details to Airborne and Rip Cord - the SAME details, even. Huh.
January 15th, 2004: stumbled across some new Joe vehicles at Super Target today, so I updated Shipwreck's entry in the GI Joe thing to account for his new ride. Looking back into 2003 a bit, I also went ahead and wrote up a whole new Joe entry, one covering the team's new tank jockey, Switch Gears!
January 8th, 2004: started work on something mysterious in the Miscellaneous character section, which I will share with you as soon as I get the Saga version of it done. I also updated Clutch's entry to account for his new action figure in 2003... not much this week, but what can I say?
January 1st, 2004: I added updates to all the Joe figures who received new action figures in 2004 thus far: Ace, Duke, Gung-Ho, Heavy Duty, Roadblock, Scarlett, and Snake-Eyes. I even added the first new Joe of '04, Hi-Tech, who was first seen in the animated Spy Troops movie/ad dingus... woo!
December 25nd, 2003: took me about five extra minutes, but I did finally finish up Agent Deathmonger for MSH Classic. I am hoping to work out the other two entries I've covered so far for Classic (Mike 013 and Sir Tophat), not to mention a few new ones for both MSHes here soon.
December 18th, 2003: well, I didn't finish it, but I started working on a Classic conversion of Agent Deathmonger, that stalwart stoic of Agency 13. I suppose I'll manage to finish that fellow here next week, but that all depends on the overtime situation. I'm surprised I'm not working on X-mas...yet.
December 11th, 2003: though I didn't do any more characters or rules or such, I have opened up a long-dormant section of the Variant Earth 13 reference, namely the Tales From Variant Earth 13 thing. This is a 'universe' of stories, after a fashion, covering the people and things going down there.
December 4th, 2003: didn't quite get as much done as I wanted to today, but hey, I made some inroads. For instance, you can spy the sixth member of Seven in the v13 thing today, a character who should be getting her own stories here soon, the one and only Without - check 'er out!
November 27th, 2003: sure, I should be eating turkey to ridiculous excess, but instead I spent the day working on .asp stuff for the 13... whee. To prove it works, I built a cover gallery for the Kickers, Inc. portion of the New U handbook. Am I not lovely or something?
November 20th, 2003: I went ahead and finished up the Saga version of Geoffrey McAlister for the v13 e mail hero roster, since I should've done that a bit ago. I also updated Rebound at long last, and gave him a Saga conversion as well, meaning I only have one more person there to update. Score.
November 13th, 2003: doing more 'invisible' work on the 13, rearranging the entire image directory structure so it's easier for me to screw with people engaging in 'bandwidth theft'. I also finally finished modernizing the Kickers, Inc. index in the New Universe Handbook... it's all cleaned up!
November 6th, 2003: well, it took me all weekend and more, but I have perfected my new 'imagery' for the 13. A replacement for the gallery I'd been slowly populating, this is a non-pop up system of displaying pictures of folks I cover on the 13 - over half of the old galleries have been switched over thus far...
October 30th, 2003: forgot to mention it right off, but I started work on several of the troublemakers currently menacing folks in my v13 game, three members of the oddball Boogie Brigade. Thus far you can find Disco Head, the Fornicator, and the Utoolitarian hanging out in the Variant Earth 13 reference.
October 23rd, 2003: I've sort of neglected this area for quite a while, so I decided to clean up the player character area of my Variant Earth 13 reference. Thus far, I tweaked the active character roster page, and upgraded Jinx's and Masque's entries... just need to finish tweaking two more!
October 16th, 2003: started work on the Variant Earth 13 thing again, and have thus far covered Charlie Chicanery (the original) and the one and only Technoholic Man for the Seven roster... not to mention the Aggravant, that bizarre matter-duplicated cloned-mutant hero formerly known as Charlie Chicanery II.
October 8th, 2003: I know it sounds insane, but as it turns out I require the use of the cast of Kickers, Inc. for an adventure in my Variant Earth 13 e mail game, so I'm working on modernizing that section... as a kickoff (heh) towards cleaning up the New U thing in general. I even updated the Chronology, too!
October 2nd, 2003: I seem to have hit a wall on the GI Joe stuff, so I went back to the v13 dingus, and put up another member of the notorious Posse Pillory, who you can find in the Mindwatch area. This guy is Deion, a theonicist who has crossed paths with our e mail heroes more than once...
September 25th, 2003: been working a whole lot of overtime of late, so unfortunately I didn't manage any actual characters - or character updates - this week. I did finally get the vast majority of the v13 e mail game archive online, though, getting that thing current through September 26th - is 22 months, yes?
September 18th, 2003: clinging to the GI Joe handbook still, I have concocted game descriptions of both Deep Six and Spirit, leaving me but one '84 Joe to cover, that being Mutt (and his pal Junkyard, of course). I may get to him yet this week, but I'm not sure... lots of overtime. Lots (TM).
September 11th, 2003: still working on GI Joe - what, you were expecting another change of venue? Thus far, I've finally finished up a description of Roadblock I started a long, long time ago. On top of that, I managed to describe Recondo and Rip Cord as well, thus working up three (count 'em) '84 Joes.
September 3rd, 2003: changing gears again, I started working on the GI Joe handbook, and did lots. I wrote up Dart, the Assault Quad, the Night Attack Chopper, and the Sand Razor. At long last, it seems that I've finished the 2002 portion of the Joe reference - at least where the good guys are concerned.
However, that's not all. I also updated a bevy of my existing character write-ups, to account for new action figures released since I last 'touched them up'. Now current are the Baroness, Beach-Head, Big Ben, Cobra Commander, Cover Girl, Dial-Tone, Doc Mindbender, Flash, Flint, Grunt, Ripper, and Storm Shadow!
August 28th, 2003: changing gears slightly, I decided to perpetrate some fiction in my Transformers: Robots in Disguise reference, and worked out the last three Autobots required: Daytonus, Prowl II and Side Swipe. Oh yeah, I also added headlights to all the Autobots that needed 'em. Whoops.
August 21st, 2003: I haven't gone back through the v13 archives to see exactly what goodies I loaded it up with, so I haven't finished the 'Techno-Elys' portion of Elys' v13 entry proper, but I did work out her familiar. Known and loved by children everywhere, it's a Poké-thing called Treecko - check him out!
August 14th, 2003: been wracking my brains on this one, but I've produced a transient edition of Elys, the mastermind behind the Tenacious Ten. Not a proper member of the team, this evil and wacky-mad dragon put the group together, so there she is. Her final 'robot' form is still pending, however...
August 7th, 2003: whee. I got Vitamin G done up for both MSH versions. He'd already been finished and worked up for the Classic game on the Norseman's site (go check if'n you don't believe me). That means the Tenacious Ten proper is complete, leaving only their evil mastermind, Elys, to be covered.
July 31st, 2003: the long work weeks taking their toll, I've been seemingly doing less of late. However! I have managed to (despite my delierium) work up yet another member of the Tenacious Ten for your general perusal - as such, I offer unto thee the one and only Drag, in the Variant Earth 13, uh, thing.
July 24th, 2003: I had been working on this fellow on and off for a week, trying to get the right handle on him, but I've now completed Zenus for your gaming amusement, yet another member of the Tenacious Ten I've been meaning to cover. Only two more of these jokers to go, and then I get to do Elys... woo!
July 17th, 2003: hey, I'm working on something that isn't Transformers related! I decided to pick up where I'd left off on some Variant Earth 13 stuff, and have worked out Cilantro - of the Tenacious Ten. I'm hoping to get the last three folks from that group up relatively soon, as well. Stay tuned!
July 10th, 2003: finished my massive Saga conversion of Fortress Maximus, thus adding three new write-ups to the Robots in Disguise handbook. He's big, so watch out. This means I've covered eveybody important from the show - from Cybertron, at least - and can now make up the others... whee.
July 3rd, 2003: took me even longer than I thought (what with all the overtime... feh), but I've complied a Classic MSH version of Fortress Maximus - and it's big. Three Autobots in one (though technically just one, really), Maximus is quite the doozy, and you'll be able to see him imminently!
June 26th, 2003: though I have little tangible goodness to show for you this week, I've started working on the biggest Transformer of all - Fortress Maximus! It's taking some time, though, since he seems to tax the rules of most game systems I cover on the site - and many others, as well...
June 19th, 2003: having returned from the evil land of Minnesota, I have resumed work on the 13, hoping to finish up the Transformers: Robots in Disguise reference pretty soon, here. Thus far this week, I have covered the one and only Landfill for your gaming amusment, and finally fixed up Sideways. Score, eh?
June 12th, 2003: woo, didn't get anything done here. Not for lack of trying, of course, but I was out of town. In Minnesota, see, doing pretty much nothing. I brought tons of stuff to work on, mind you, but... things didn't work out as I'd hoped, and as such, I got little gaming stuff done. Sorry 'bout that.
June 5th, 2003: well, I've finished my description of Wedge, having finally done up his Saga half, and I've also added a full-on description of Grimlock, Heavy Load and Hightower for both MSHs. Now I just need to sort out Landfill - which ought to be rather interesting, really...
May 29th, 2003: yeah, I've been gone for quite a while... sorry about that. I'm somewhat back in the game, however, and have started a write-up of Wedge in the Transformers dingus. It ought to be done imminently, so keep your eyes peeled in the Autobots section to check him out, yes?
Er...
April 17th, 2003: not much thus far - just finished up Team Bullet Train once and for all. All the Saga versions of those guys are done (and pretty swank, I might add), and I'm gearing up to cover a couple more rogue-ish psis for my Variant Earth 13 thinger. I'll keep you posted, myes?
April 10th, 2003: so far this year, I've managed to finalize my 'classic' versions of Team Bullet Train. That's right, all three of those rather tall Autobots are available, not to mention their fusion, Rail Racer. Saga conversions of this work are en route, and I believe two of those are done as well.
April 9th, 2003: wow. I still can't believe that I've actually been working on this website for over five years now. I suppose that means I should probably get my act together and finish up a few of my more outstanding projects - or at least make it look like I'm making progress on them... yeah, that's the ticket.
