Origin:

As are all members of the Battle Force 2000 unit, Blaster is a normal human - at least, in a strictly physical sense. He's in particularly good shape, however, and in addition to being a highly trained combatant, has access to very advanced, experimental military gear.

Known Powers:

(none)

Limitations / Enhancements:

(none)

Equipment:

DK-528 Infra-Green Laser Pistol: Blaster's principal weapon, whenever active outside his Vindicator, it inflicts rank value 10 Armor Piercing Energy damage against the target of its highly lethal photon beam. Whatever infra-green light is supposed to be, anyway.

Helmet: whenever he's working with GI Joe, or even just testing out some of his latest hovercraft innovations, Blaster always wears his helmet. It provides the man rank value 10 protection against physical assaults striking him anywhere in the head, save for his eyes.

Furthermore, it's packed with accessories! For one thing, it has a rank value 2 communicator, which provides enough signal strength to talk to folks in either portion of the Vindicator, and a flashlight, which fills Blaster's current sector with rank value 10 illumination.

Knife: kept in a convenient boot sheath for easy access, Blaster's blade is made from m.v. 40 materials. He can use it to inflict his Brawn value in Slashing damage while engaged in melee combat, or to eventually hack through materials of up to like m.v.

the Vindicator Hovercraft: the Vindicator is a highly advanced hovercraft, one powerful enough to effectively serve as a replacement for conventional helicopter technology. A true VTOL aircraft, the Vindicator is described in its own vehicular entry.

Quirks:

(none)

Skills:

Aerial Combat: a talent that wasn't self-taught, this skill describes how well Blaster can fight while behind the wheel of some flying vehicle or another - particularly his Vindicator. When fighting in the air, Blaster attempts applicable ACTION rolls at a +1 RS.

Engineering: Blaster isn't just adept at flying ground effect vehicles - he's a competent builder of them, as well! His Intellect trait should be considered +1 RS when designing or building things, as his original skills have been expanded by Army education.

Guns: though he wasn't originally militarily minded, Blaster can now easily operate most conventional firearms. Whether he's handling a standard, semi-automatic, or fully automatic rifle or pistol, Blaster may do so as though his Coordination was +1 RS higher in value.

Martial Arts style B: Blaster can readily defend himself should he find himself without weapons - though he'd rather not, given a choice. Blaster may attempt any unarmed attack (punch, kick, etc.) as though his Melee was +1 RS higher than is listed above.

Military / United States: unlike many in the armed forces, Blaster gained several of his marketable talents before he signed up. This skill nonetheless details that he knows the SOP like the back of his hand, and has numerous additional contacts in military circles.

Piloting: Blaster is adept at handling most aircraft, though he specializes in ground effect vehicles, like his self-developed Vindicator. He may fly it, or most other helicopters and hovercraft, as though his Coordination was +1 RS higher than is indicated above.

Contacts:

As a member of GI Joe, its elite Battle Force 2000 team in particular, Blaster can readily rely upon his fellows for assistance should he but ask. Blaster also has additional contacts in military research and development circles, as he worked in that area before joining the Joes.

Costume:

Blaster's Battle Force 2000 uniform includes a bright green T-shirt under a camouflage green chest plate, bright green trousers, a bright green and blue helmet with a green face plate, a black belt, camouflage green boots, a black right glove, and a blue and green left glove.

Personality:

Blaster has always been a hovercraft enthusiast, and has been building his own models ever since he was a teenager. He's single-minded (some say obsessive) about his hobby, but he knows his vehicles inside and out, and can use them to do amazing things for his teammates.

Story:

Blaster has been fascinated with hovercraft all his life. Ever since he was a kid, he's been building the things for his own personal use, but having ridden in his first, the bug had bitten him - but good! Though expensive, he spent his formative years assembling hovercraft kits.

By his mid-teens, Blaster was modifying kits and eventually developing his own plans for ground effect vehicles. He knew what he wanted to do with his life, that being the development of ever-better hovercraft, but the civilian market simply wasn't interested in what he was selling.

So, he turned to the military. Working in Army research and development, Blaster impressed the powers that be with his skills, mostly learned through trial and error, so they set about training him properly. Once he was done, Blaster was a prime candidate for GI Joe membership.

The Joes snatched him up as soon as they could, and put him to work in their experimental Battle Force 2000 unit. This squad of six (later seven) highly trained soldiers were to work with prototype units, several of their own design, and prove (or disprove) their battle readiness.

Naturally, Blaster took this opportunity to develop, with military funding, his ultimate creation: the Vindicator. This powerful ground effects vehicle can maneuver as effectively as (and fly as high as) a helicopter, and makes less noise in the process. But there's more!

Components of the Vindicator can also be combined with parts of other Battle Force 2000 vehicles to form the Future Fortress, a high tech installation that the team can use to fight off Cobra - or other terrorist - forces, which they demonstrated in the Battle of Freusenland.

Stationed in the country to perform work on their experimental gear, Blaster and his Battle Force 2000 fellows were swept up in Cobra's attempt to overthrow the Arctic nation, but after discovering how Cobra's Terror Dromes work, the team managed to rout their terrorist foes.

Blaster continued to serve the GI Joe team with distinction for several years, despite one or two legal hassles engineered by Cobra's Dreadnoks, until the Battle of Benzheen. During this conflict, the Force was ordered to move through the Benzheeni oil fields in secret.

When their position was betrayed by the Emir of Benzheen, however, Cobra shelled the entire oil field, and Blaster died along with most of his fellow Battle Force 2000 members. His body rests in the Arlington National Cemetery with his fellow dead Joes.
