the Liquidator

Working hard to keep parity with advances in GI Joe technology, Cobra didn't wait all that long to field a counterpart to their Storm Eagle: the Liquidator! Though each plane features a wildly different configuration, both have similar characteristics, both in and out of combat.

Featuring air-to-surface missiles to punish ground-based targets and a powerful laser cannon with which to combat other aircraft, the ebon Liquidator is a force to be reckoned with - as are all Cobra fighter planes. The Liquidator has these known capabilities:

Handling
RV 30
Velocity
RV 500
Durability
RV 20
Protection
RV 20

Body Armor: the Liquidator is built to protect its pilot. It has a high impact nose cone along with a reinforced, anti-glare composite canopy. This provides its pilot rank value 20 protection from attack, as well as similarly-valued Screened Senses for their vision.

Cobra-band Radio: Cobra gear uses a communication system of its own, not beholden to conventional broadcast standards. The Liquidator in particular has comm gear with rank value 30 range (500 miles, optimally), and benefits from rank value 20 signal encryption.

Flight: it's primary purpose, the Liquidator can fly - and rather quickly, too. It can operate at speeds in excess of Mach 2, which gives it this ability at rank value 500. Of course, it often flies much slower than this when engaging targets on the ground.

Infra-red Video Surveillance System: the Liquidator has the ability to film enemy positions on the ground - even under night-time conditions! It can track targets by their heat, allowing the pilot to 'paint' targets even if visibility is otherwise zero in an area.

Liquid Fire Laser Cannon: this chin-mounted weapon is the only air-to-air offense the Liquidator has... or needs. It can be fired to inflict rank value 20 Armor Piercing Energy damage per blast, and can continue to fire as long as the plane has power / fuel.

Radar: the Liquidator is equipped with powerful radar emitters, along with a similarly potent computer capable of interpreting what it 'sees'. It can easily map nearby terrain, and it functions with a maximum rank value 30 (500 miles) range.

Tactical Missiles: the Liquidator is armed with four air-to-surface tactical missiles, each of which is designed not for speed but for accuracy - but then, they don't need to be that fast. For each doubling of missiles that hit, these projectiles inflict +1 RS damage:

Handling
RV 20
Velocity
RV 50
Durability
RV 20
Damage
RV 30 Slashing (fragmentary)
