the Armor-Bot

The GI Joe Armor-Bot is the ultimate expression of Star Brigade technology. It is an immense (36' tall) walking mech, armed to the teeth and having room for two GI Joe operators. It is primarily a shiny white in hue, with blue and black trim in places.

Despite its humanoid appearance, the Armor-Bot is treated as a conventional vehicle, as it doesn't enhance its operators' abilities like a battle suit, per se. Though designed for use in space, it can be put to work on earth in a pinch, though it's relatively slow-moving.

The GI Joe Armor-Bot has these characteristics and capabilities:

Armor-plated Body Shielding (s): the Armor-Bot is heavily armored, of course. It has an effective material strength of 12, and provides the occupants of its head module with like, or +3, body armor (in addition to all its other inherent protections).

Communications Array (i): the Armor-Bot is equipped with a gigahertz frequency, frequency wobbler clandestine operations radio system. This makes for intensity 12 communications power (with a 5,000 mile range), that features intensity 10 signal encryption.

Cyber-claw (s): the left arm of the Armor-Bot terminates in an immense, three-pronged gripper claw. It can hold objects (or enemy combatants!) with a Strength of 10, and each individual 'finger' has a material strength of 15.

Chin Turret (a): mounted on the 'chin' of the Armor-Bot (hence the name), this rotary turret is equipped with a powerful laser cannon. It can be fired to inflict the gunner's Agility +6 in Armor Piercnig energy damage, and can cut through up to m.s. 18 materials with sustained fire.

Deflection (i): in addition to its obvious protective qualities, the Armor-Bot is ray-shielded. Its highly polished metallic surfaces act to deflect laser energy at odd angles, meaning that such attacks have a +4 difficulty to 'hit the Armor-Bot.

Environmental Independence (s): the Armor-Bot can support its occupants for three days thanks to its stored air supply. This translates into intensity 3 environmental independence, where air is concerned; if they doesn't bring their own food and water, its operators must go without.

Grenade Launchers (i): each side of the Armor-Bot's head is equipped with a grenade launcher. It can lob these up to a mile distant, and their payload explodes to inflict intensity 10 damage within near missile distance ofwhere it detonates. If both launchers are used, add +1.

Growth (a): the GI Joe Armor-Bot is huge! This thing stands a good thirty-six feet tall, effectively giving it this 'power' at intensity 8. This gives the Armor-Bot a +8 to the damage it inflicts in melee (cyber-claw), though -8 to its Agility vs. normal-sized foes.

Machine Guns (a):each side of the Armor-Bot's head is equipped with a twinned machine gun mount. These inflict the Gunner's Agility +5 in damage when firing a short burst, raised to their Agility +7 in damage when fired continuously. If both twinned guns are used, add +1.

Radar Array (w): GI Joe's Armor-Bot is tied into the military's satellite network, which acts to enhance its own radar transceiver. It can pinpoint and track targets within five thousand miles of its location (intensity 12 radar system).

Resistance to Cold and Pressure Variance (s): designed to operate in outer space, the Armor-Bot has to shield its occupants from the extreme cold and vacuum present present outside our atmosphere. It can resist these two hazardous forces at intensity 20, or +5.

Six-shot Cannon (i): the right arm of the Armor-Bot terminates in an immense, rotary barreled rocket launcher. It can fire up to six projectiles at once, each of which inflicts intensity 11 damage, but add a +1 for each additional missile that hits a single target simultaneously.
