Origin:
Like most of the GI Joe team, Sidetrack is a completely normal human, lacking ascendant powers of any sort. He was never bitten by radioactive animals, he doesn't possess beneficial mutations that attract giant murder robots, and he definitely has no occult background.
Known Powers:
(none)
Limitations / Enhancements:
(none)
Equipment:
Grenades: Sidetrack carries a bevy of grenades on the job. His miniature arsenal includes fragmentary grenades (to inflict Slashing damage), tear gas grenades (to inflict Concuss damage), and smoke grenades (to provide obfuscation) - all working at rank value 30.
Knives: since he often needs to cut things, Sidetrack carries a few knives at all times. These blades are made from value 40 metals, and can either be used to cut through items of like material value, or let Sidetrack inflict Slashing damage in melee.
Machine Gun: equipped with a 'scope for a +1 RS to hit in ambushes, this weapon can discharge one round to inflict rank value 6 Piercing damage, a three-round burst to inflict rank value 10 Piercing damage, or be fired continuously to inflict rank value 20 Piercing damage.
Sidearm: a handy backup should all his other weaponry fail, Sidetrack keeps this firearm holstered and ready. In combat, he can discharge one round from this weapon to inflict rank value 6 Piercing damage, or a three-round burst to inflict rank value 10 Piercing damage.
Quirks:
(none)
Skills:
Guns: one talent gained thanks to his Army basic training, this skill describes Sidetrack's ability to fire most firearms when necessary. Whether it be a standard, semi-automatic, or fully automatic rifle or pistol, Sidetrack may discharge firearms at his Coordination +1 RS.
Martial Arts styles B and C: Sidetrack wielded various fighting styles as a pro wrestler, only needing minimal training from the Army. He can make unarmed melee attacks, as well as attempt dodge, escape, evade, feint, grapple, and weave maneuvers, with a +1 RS bonus.
Military / United States: the ultimate source of all his non-wrestling talents, this skill acts as a handy origin for Sidetrack. It describes his instinctual understanding of military protocols and procedures, and offers him several additional military contacts.
Sports / Pro Wrestling: before he joined the Army, Sidetrack's primary occupation was that of a pro wrestler. This sport entails a high degree of acrobatics, coordination, performance ability, and, of course, more attitude than you can shake a stick at!
Survival: one facet of Sidetrack's ranger training is that he can scrounge up the food, water, and shelter required to survive almost anywhere. Having had specific training in arctic, jungle, and desert survival, he can persist just about any place on earth - starting from scratch!
Contacts:
As a member of the elite GI Joe team, Sidetrack is recognized as one of the world's best in his line of work. As such, when he requires assistance on a mission, his fellow Joes are more than happy to lend it. Furthermore, Sidetrack has several additional military and showbiz contacts.
Costume:
Sidetrack's field uniform consists of olive drab trousers, an olive drab, short-sleeved shirt under a green and brown vest with black shoulder pads, a brown leather belt, brown leather boots, and various holsters, sheathes, and pouches to hold whatever equipment his mission requires.
Personality:
Loud, obnoxious, and overly patriotic, John is the kind of guy that fit well in the pro wrestling circuit. Full of bluster and bile, though in a likeable way, John is one of the most belligerent people you'll ever meet. This would cause him problems if he weren't so good at what he does!

Story:
Sidetrack is belligerent and opinionated. Of course, he's also a strong, coordinated showboater. This meant, of course, that the only job he was really fit for was that of a pro wrestler. Sure, he could've gotten a normal job, but he'd have driven his co-workers to tears in no time.
The man worked the wrestling circuit for years, at least until he suddenly had an epiphany. Why rough up pretend foes for the enjoyment of others, when he could trounce on real villains for his own, personal satisfaction? He joined the Army almost immediately after this brainstorm.
Dead-set on building a military career, he blustered his way through Army basic, and did so well that he qualified for their Ranger School. It took a bit, but Sidetrack succeeded in this as well, and found working with America's elite soldiers was much more fulfilling than his last job.
Sure, there's no crowd to cheer him on when he's at work, but at least he feels like he's doing something important. This sensation was only enhanced further when he was offered a position on the GI Joe team. Sidetrack was more than happy to sign on with the world's very best!
So now, instead of pinning his co-workers to the mat on national television, Sidetrack is bludgeoning Cobras into submission every chance he gets. In fact, he often wades into combat with seemingly reckless abandon, as he's grown to love the sheer mayhem that a firefight provides!
