Origin:

As is the case with his fellows in the Oktober Guard, Dragonsky is but a normal human (at least, in an anatomical sense). The man has no super-powers, but he is usually armed with a high tech flamethrower, as well as a potent skill set and incredible motivation to succeed.

Known Powers:

(none)

Limitations / Enhancements:

(none)

Equipment:

Flame-retardant Suit: since he wields a flamethrower, Dragonsky usually wears a fire resistant suit on the job. This suit provides him Remarkable (30) ranked protection from fire and heat, Good (10) protection against physical attack, and has a chest-mounted respirator installed.

Flamethrower: his signature weapon, Dragonsky always has his 'Zhukov Zippo' ready to decimate enemy personnel or vehicles. He can fire this weapon to bathe anything within a thirty degree angle inside his current area in Remarkable (30) intensity flames (SD Energy damage).

Knife: a must for most military men, Dragonsky carries a blade at all times. His knife is made from Remarkable (30) m.s. materials, and can be used to either cut through items of up to the same m.s., given enough time, or to inflict Edged Attack damage in melee.

Makarov PM Pistol: in the event that his flamethrower is impractical or unavailable, Dragonsky carries this firearm in the field. It can discharge one round to inflict Typical (6) Shooting damage, raised to Good (10) Shooting damage when firing a short burst of lead.

Quirks:

(none)

Talents:

Driving: not only can Dragonsky fix most mechanical contraptions, but he can operate them too! Dragonsky is an experienced driver, and should receive a +1 CS on any related Agility or Control FEAT required while behind the wheel, whether or not it's combat related.

Guns: like all soldiers, Dragonsky can competently wield most firearms. Though he specializes in Warsaw Pact arms, Dragonsky can reasonably fire any standard, semi-automatic, or fully automatic rifle or pistol as if his Agility was +1 CS higher than is listed above.

Languages / English and Russian: in addition to an inherent mastery of his mother land's tongue, Dragonsky has also learned the language of his people's consistent enemies. As such, the man can read, write, and speak in both English and Russian quite fluently.

Martial Arts type B: though the military brushed up his skills, Dragonsky learned how to fight the hard way - against Nazi aggressors! In combat, Dragonsky may attempt any unarmed melee strike he likes, whether punching, kicking, or even charging, at the applicable score +1 CS.

Military / USSR: Dragonsky has been involved with the Soviet military for a very, very long time - likely since the 1950s. Though retired now, the man has an inherent understanding of his country's military and its Standard Operating Procedure.

Repair / Tinkering: while most of his foes know him as the Guard's 'flamethrower guy', Dragonsky is best known by his allies as their mechanic. He's always fixing and modifying their vehicles in frightening ways, and should receive a +1 CS on any such efforts.

Skill / Flamethrower: while he's competent with most Soviet Bloc firearms, Dragonsky is justifiably infamous for his use of the flamethrower. He should receive a +1 CS to any FEAT roll required when using this weapon, whether striking a foe or aiming for structural weak points.

Contacts:

Dragonsky is a long-standing member of the Oktober Guard - and possibly its physically oldest member. He can naturally rely upon anyone in the group for assistance should he but ask, particularly as helpful as he's proven to be for his allies over the years.

Costume:

Dragonsky's Oktober Guard field uniform is much more colorful than those of his comrades. It is a reddish-purple flame retardant suit, complete with dark purple boots, gloves, and chest padding, along with a large, dark purple helmet with a breathing ventilator attached.

Personality:

The phrase 'old war horse' fits Dragonsky to a T. He's a brave soul with a litany of heroic acts to his credit, but he doesn't do these things for personal glory or profit - no, he has acted solely out of a love for his country, doing all he can to help his comrades in arms.

Story:

Dragonsky has known combat for most of his life. He is known to have been involved in fighting during World War II, even though he was just a child at the time; he claims to have thrown Molotov cocktails at Nazis during the Battle of Stalingrad - a claim verified by Colonel Brekhov.

Enlisting in the Soviet army as soon as he could, Dragonsky applied his skills as a mechanic and driver well, and made a point of excelling in fire-based weaponry - it reminded him of his youth, after all. This dedication eventually got him a job on an elite unit: the Oktober Guard.

Proud to have been brought in as a Russian representative on this group, itself assembled as a collection of the Warsaw Pact nations' very best operatives, Dragonsky quickly put himself to work modifying a variety of Soviet vehicles for use by the team.

He produced a few six wheel drive vehicles for the team, but was still in the garage when the Guard had its first confrontation with both their American counterparts, the GI Joe team, and Cobra operatives acting to seize a top secret, crashed Russian aircraft.

He nonetheless did his part for the team during its next major confrontation with those two interloping groups, fighting off an aerial Cobra barrage which was trying to steal an experimental Soviet laser weapon - itself built with plans stolen from American scientists.

Dragonsky participated in all kinds of missions with the Guard, the details of which have mostly been classified by the Kremlin. On one such occasion, Dragonsky was in Sierra Gordo with the rest of the Oktober Guard, surviving an attempt to rescue a train full of seeming revolutionaries.

While he and Daina survived this encounter, the rest of the Oktober Guard was not so lucky. However, the team was not laid to rest, for the Kremlin saw the advantage in having such an anti-terrorist group active, and restocked its membership with several new recruits.

This time led by Red Star, the Oktober Guard continued to perform its duties until it was officially disbanded with the collapse of the Soviet Union. However, Dragonsky himself would continue to work with his compatriots when the Russian army requested him to.

His last known mission in this regard saw Dragonsky joining Red Star and Daina on a Russian space shuttle, and the trio joined up with the GI Joe Star Brigade to stop a weaponized asteroid from being used to decimate the earth - even if a small army of robots stood in their way.

After this successful mission, Dragonsky seems to have retired from the military - he is old, after all. He still lives however, and should the endless war against Cobra and other terrorists require it, he's sure to pick up his Zhukov Zippo and join the battle anew!
