As are the rest of Kickers, Inc. - with the notable exception of Mr. Magnificent - Beauford is naught but a normal human, lacking any sort of physical alterations, magical schooling, or psionic disciplines with which to manifest super-human powers. Of course, he has wielded a high tech stun baton on at least one occasion, so one could say that Beauford is a high tech hero, but that is debatable.

Known Powers:

Limitations / Enhancements:

Kevlar Uniform: while the original Kickers, Inc. uniform was simply made of ordinary fabrics, the team enhanced the nature of the thing before a particularly dangerous mission. While this simply meant augmenting the costume with a Kevlar vest, the Kickers, Inc. uniform has since been impregnated with that damage-resistant fabric, allowing it to offer rank value 6 protection from physical attacks.

Stun Baton: this device, looking something like a mace with a crackling head (at least, when it's active), was used by Beauford on his first mission outside of the United States. An essentially non-lethal device, this weapon can be used to inflict rank value 20 Concussing damage upon an opponent when Beauford strikes him or her with it... this is much preferable to Beauford than gunplay.

Business / Finance: his one true love, above and beyond even football, Beauford loves money. Not the mere acquisition of funds, mind you, but the manipulation of such; while his financial acumen does benefit him in the extreme, Beauford simply finds joy in the rearrangement of money to various effects. His Intellect in such areas should be considered +1 RS to what is listed above.

Lore: while he's no expert in matters of a dark, mystical nature, Beauford has taken several comparative religion courses while in college, which has allowed him to identify specific occult groups in the field. As such, his Intellect score in such matters should be considered +1 RS when making ACT rolls to identify the nature and activity of a group engaged in occult-style matters.

Martial Arts style B: while he's a rather smart fellow when you get down to it, Beauford is also a very large man. Throughout his adventuring and professional career, Beauford has shown the ability to use his large frame to significant advantage. In essence, this affords the man a +1 RS to his Melee score whenever he engages in unarmed combat, whether he punches, kicks, or tackles a body.

Sports / Football: like most of his fellows in Kickers, Inc., and most of his friends, in fact, Beauford has spent time as a professional football player - and a successful one, at that. As such, he can make ACT rolls applicable to this experience at a +1 RS, whether they be in regards to simple football trivia, knowledge of how to play the game, or even the actual execution of a game itself.

As one of the five members of Kickers, Inc., Beauford can easily rely on his fellow investigators into the bizarre for aid should he need it; they, of course, are Jack 'Mr. Magnificent' Magniconte, Thomas 'Suicide' Smythe, Dallas 'Dasher' Corbin, and Darlene 'Doll' Magniconte. Beauford is also on the New York Smashers football team, and has dozens of pals in that organization that he can call reliable contacts.

When he's in action with the rest of Kickers, Inc., Beauford wears the same basic uniform as his fellows. It consists of a white pair of trousers, a white T-Shirt (with a skin-tight long-sleeved shirt underneath), a blue vest with various pockets presumably full of adventuring gear, a white pair of leather boots, and a red bandana that Beauford wears under his vest (you can sometimes see it underneath).

If there's anything that Beauford is not, that would be your stereotypical 'dumb jock'. He's smart, savvy, and more cool and collective than all of his fellow Kickers combined. In addition to his football skills, Beauford brings a high quality college education to the team, something the rest of Kickers, Inc. seems to lack, thus allowing him to be the team expert on various oddball subjects when needed.

Real Name: Beauford L. Wohl
Occupation: adventurer, pro football player
Legal Status: American citizen with a minor criminal record
Marital Status: single
Alias(es), if any: none
Group Affiliation: Kickers, Inc.

Height: 6' 3"
Hair: bald
Eyes: brown
Weight: 280 lbs.
Other Distinguishing Characteristics: Beauford tends to talk in an exaggerated southern accent - unless he's talking money, at which point he sounds all Wall Street (so to speak).

As opposed to most of his fellow Smashers, Beauford is a man that really has his act together. Having gotten a football scholarship in college, the man actually took full advantage of the academic facilities. Of course, he's one heck of a football player, too, so when he made it to the NFL, Beauford had a full education, one primarily focusing on business and finance, to back him up after his pro career.

Over time, Beauford came to be good friends with Jack 'Mr. Magnificent' Magniconte, as well as Thomas 'Suicide' Smythe and Dallas 'Dasher' Corbin, three of his fellow Smashers. Beauford was such good friends with this trio that, when Jack developed startling paranormal powers, his so-called 'edge', he joined up with Jack, Jack's wife Darlene, and the other two to form Kickers, Inc.

The purpose of this group was primarily to serve as an outlet for Jack's sense of personal responsibility, so he could use his incredible powers to help others in need - not just to score touchdowns. Of course, Beauford and his fellow Kickers would help him to do so by accompanying him on investigations into the bizarre, assisting people in the resolution of problems no one else can solve.

Of course, Beauford had more to offer to this group than his mere physical power; you see, he came up with the idea of running Kickers, Inc. as a sort of non-profit organization, thus gaining the football players one heck of a tax shelter. While they made no money doing their Kickers, Inc. adventuring, Beauford and the guys saved tons of money on their taxes, which more than made up for not getting paid.

For over a year, Beauford and his fellow Kickers went on one bizarre adventure after another, encountering robotic mini-tanks, would-be sorcerers, paranormal outlaws, and more. However, a particularly pesky CIA operative determined that Jack was more human than human, and tried to induct him into the CIA's sphere of influence. Refusing, Jack decided to join the Army to serve his country in a way that he chose.

This kind of left Kickers, Inc. without their primary paranormal muscle, but with paranormals popping up like crazy at about this time, it's likely that the team had more than enough odd jobs to keep them busy. So, despite the lack of Jack, it's most likely that Beauford stuck with the Kickers, Inc. ideal along with Darlene and his fellow Smashers, helping those in need to this very day!
