Technoholic Formula Changes - Year 17!

April 6th, 2015: with the proofread on the extant Time and Combat text for my Saga System 13 rules having gone quite swimmingly, with only a few minor glitches that registered to me, I have gone and poured it into the Saga System 13 text file downloadable. Which didn't really take all that long, what with there being zero tables to convert over. Yay!

April 5th, 2015: even though I've decided to add one more section to the Saga System 13 Time and Combat rules document, I went ahead and proofread everything I've written so far - and rest assured, most of the text on this page wound up being new. I salvaged tiny bits here and there that fit, but for the most part I had to build this from scratch.

April 4th, 2015: while I didn't think I'd find the time to manage it any time soon, I do believe I've finally crafted the Saga System 13 variation on the Time and Combat document. Of course, in the process of doing so I've changed how defensive maneuvers work, so I'll have to update the Skills document. And a thousand character descriptions.

April 3rd, 2015: since I've finished up my work to rehabilitate the members of the Crazy Sues that I'd documented thus far, and the Timely Heroes reference on the whole as a result, I wrote a small blurb about this strange team so those unfamiliar with the 'Band of Heroes' limited series might at least have an inkling what they were about.

April 2nd, 2015: since I had a few bits of unfinished business with the Crazy Sues, I thought I'd go ahead and wrap that up. To wit, I made a micro blurb for Transisto-Mech, Taxi Taylor's robotic assistant, on his description, as well as adding talents I forgot on Blue Diamond, Father Time, and Merzah the Mystic. And I forgot a lot.

April 1st, 2015: though work was fraught with peril this week, what with me being astoundingly drowsy each day, I nonetheless managed to produce an update of the last Timely Hero I'd apparently neglected so long ago. Though I don't have his robot in there yet, I've finally cleaned up and updated the material I'd produced so far for Taxi Taylor.

March 29th, 2015: so last year or whatever, I thought I'd finished my work on the Timely Heroes thing, but as luck would have it I forgot about two fellows I'd shuffled over to the 'Crazy Sues' roster. The first of these, the Invisible Man, has now been upgraded with his current history, updated personal information, and three new talents!

March 28th, 2015: I thought I was done with second edition tanar'ri for my MSH Infinity project, but the Internet informed me that I was quite mistaken. You see, I always believed the 'uridezu' were a third edition thing, and a bad one at that, but who knew. Not me! So I went ahead and forged me a description of the silly things. For you!

March 24th, 2015: so yeah, Abyssal lords and princes. The last extant entry of tanar'ri descriptions I built previously? Overhauled. That's right, kids, I'm all done cleaning up the tanar'ri I'd written descriptions for already. Which just leaves one more thing to do before the whole MSH Infinity project is up to date again. But what could it be?

March 23rd, 2015: well, them there true tanar'ri are all done, which just left two varieties of those critters what needed fixing. And fixing I have done! Hitting the harder of the two today, I've gone and cleaned up my descriptions of the molydeus, and I find that the higher level tanar'ri simply have too many powers for their own good.

March 22nd, 2015: ah, completion grows near. Despite the savage curtailment of my Technoholic grand plans, I have nonetheless been finding time to wreak updates upon the 13. And this time has proven well spent! This is because, just today, I have overhauled the last of the true tanar'ri: the deadly balors. The end is nigh! Yay!

March 21st, 2015: making up for my admittedly minor error yesterday, I have made a point of rehabilitating my descriptions of the marilith today. These genius tacticians and six-armed whirling dervishes are now officially modernized, the better to terrroize your player characters with. Because if used right, they're a real pain!

March 20th, 2015: as it turns out, I inadvertently went slightly out of order in my tanar'ri overhauls today. This is because, for some reason, I thought the nalfeshnee had less 'standing' in tanar'ri society (such as it is) than did the mariliths. Whoops. But hey, at least that's another one of these terrors sorted out once and for all, right?

March 19th, 2015: grinding away at work a bit more, which sort of used up all of my assigned break time (and then some), I cleaned up another of my dwindling supply of tanar'ri that needed a make-over. Today's improvement on the 13 was my revitalization of the alkilith, possibly the creepiest tanar'ri dreamed up thus far.

March 18th, 2015: now that the week has finally settled down a bit, I managed to make some time for Technoholic progress whilst I was on my breaks at work - and I get several, since I'm pulling so many hours of overtime these days. Hitting another of the dwindling number of remaining tanar'ri, I cleaned up my glabrezu descriptions!

March 14th, 2015: so I lied. I actually managed to find a scant few minutes to work on things here at the 13 this weekend, so I did. That means I had the time required to clean up my descriptions of the hezrou extant on the site, and build a 4C System: Edition 13 variation therein. So I guess I managed to make decent progress this weekend.

March 13th, 2015: as I slowly get the hang of the laplet, I've been trying to get some Technoholic work done while on break at work, what with those few minutes a day being all the time I have for, well, me. I thus banged out an update of the vrock, the first of the true tanar'ri to speak of, and have now made it available for your use.

March 12th, 2015: hey, I fixed the site. In case you ambled in over the last few days, you may've noticed a distinct lack of images, er, anywhere. Well, apparently on my new laplet (it's one of those ultrabooks that transforms into a tablet, so call it what you will) I had an FTP fail and moved the images directory. Moved it back, sorry.

March 9th, 2015: oh look, it's another Technoholic month already. It's sad that I won't be able to fill it to the brim with additional gaming bits for all y'all to chew on, but I do hope to finish out my work overhauling the MSH Infinity project. And I have ensured you had at least one thing this month so far: overhauled details about razorvine!

March 8th, 2015: rounding out this penultimate month of our seventeenth Technoholic year, I have overhauled the last of the greater tanar'ri who needed work: the wastrilith! These undersea monstrosities crave the solitude of the ocean floor, and readily kill and eat anything stupid enough to blunder into their vast, vast domains.

March 7th, 2015: hitting it hard while I had a few minutes to spare, I have overhauled the fourth of five greater tanar'ri that needed fixing: the goristroi! These hulking, ravenous, and bison-like brutes are used as siege engines by the tanar'ri in the Blood War, though this quickly makes them a focal point for enemy action!

March 6th, 2015: though I slowly worked on them at work as breaks permitted, I did finally wrap up another greater tanar'ri overhaul here after a couple of days. This variety of critter, the babau, are the tanar'ri's Blood War recruiters. And as you can imagine, they're astoundingly unpopular as a result of this job description.

March 2nd, 2015: as luck would have it, I wound up with a bit more time than I expected tonight, which allowed me to ply another upgrade to the 13. As such, I've overhauled my description of the demonic chasme, mosquitoid creatures that serve to prey upon deserters of the Blood War - all with the blessings of the tanar'ri high-ups.

March 1st, 2015: well I've survived my first full week of twelve hour days, and I actually managed to recover from some of the fatigue I've been feeling since that began, so I thought I'd try and get at least a little bit of work done here on the 13 today. To wit, I've overhauled the nabassu, first of the greater tanar'ri, for you!

February 19th, 2015: well, it was an awesome run, but finally had to come to an end - if only because I'll be working seventy hour weeks for the foreseeable future. Thanks to this absolute drain on my personal time, I can no longer continue the update-a-day here at the 13, but I do believe managing that for 6.33 years was pretty good, don't you?

February 18th, 2015: so I have once again declared the Edition 13 version of the Time and Combat document 'solid'. Thus, I took it upon myself to pour all of it into the 4C System text file downloadable, which took a bit longer than it should have since I had an inexplicable error in Notepad++ that wiped out my work as I finished. Sigh.

February 17th, 2015: as I always do with these Pronoun Problem fixes, I have gone through the 4C System: Edition 13 variation on the Time and Combat document, to sort that out. As I always find, there were a few issues I missed the first time around, so I sorted them, along with a couple more Edition 13 specific errors.

February 16th, 2015: so yeah, I've got a freshly perfected (for the moment, anyway) Time and Combat document for my Universal Heroes rules. So you know what that means, don't you. That's right, it's high time I plug all that delicious text into the Universal Heroes text file downloadable, and it only had a few tables to parse for .txt!

February 15th, 2015: getting back to the site's custom rules work, I have gone through the The CASE version of the Time and Combat document, to clean up the Pronoun Problem. And, despite my having thought I'd done good with that before, I clearly haven't. Sigh. I also made a few additional, minor grammar fixes.

February 14th, 2015: as the lesser tanar'ri are all fixed, I decided to take time out to cover a non-tanar'ri beastie today, the rather creepy viper trees. Since they only took a few minutes, I also overhauled one of the remnant Timely heroes I inexplicably missed when fixing that part of the 13, the original, scythe-wielding Father Time!

February 13th, 2015: well what do you know, I've finished overhauling the lesser tanar'ri! This is because, just now, I have wrapped up an overhaul of the dread bulezau, berserking minotaur-like fiends bent on the destruction of, well, anything around them. Naturally, this makes them prized combatants in the Blood War's teeming ranks.

February 12th, 2015: tanar'ri. Beh. Not that I normally have a problem or dislike for these demonic curmudgeons, mind you, but I do despise proofing the same power sets over and over. Sure, each beastie, such as the bar-lgura here, have unique powers, but these guys have a lot of common capabilities. And they grate, ever so slightly.

February 11th, 2015: continuing my current effort in the tanar'ri rehabilitation, that of wrapping up the lesser tanar'ri descriptions, I've cleaned up the yochlol this time around. While they needed a bit of work, they weren't quite as broken as were the succubi, so there's that I suppose. They're looking much nicer now, relatively speaking.

February 10th, 2015: I guess I should get back to the tanar'ri overhaul. Or something. To this end, I cleaned up my extant work on the succubi in the MSH Infinity's Bestiary. Egad, I made a mess of the Saga conversion of these things. And nobody told me. Sigh. But I guess they're fixed, and have an Edition 13 variation now, too!

February 9th, 2015: okay, so I lied. Well, not really, but sorta? I said I was done with the Saga System 13 Powers document but, as it turned out, I found I wanted to rebalance the costs of Gliding, Levitation, and Propulsion in relation to Flight, so I did that. And then did that for Universal Heroes and 4C System: Edition 13 as well.

February 8th, 2015: rounding out this Technoholic month, I've completed my work on the Saga System 13 powers for now. Powers beginning with S, T, U, V, and W are now properly presented, which is all that was left. So everything from the Textbook Character Treatise, the Book of Magic, the Manual of the Psi, and the Deionomicon is ready!

February 7th, 2015: continuing to plow through the many and various Saga System 13 powers to make my Saga System 13 Powers document done enough for now, I've copied all the pertinent data for powers that start with M, N, O, P, Q, and R, which means this thing is shaping up quite nicely. Only one more big block of 'em to go.

February 6th, 2015: though I have yet to go through and fix the Pronoun Problems with the Saga System 13 powers I have defined thus far (which is all of them, I think), I have continued to at least make what I've written thus far more easily accessible to all y'all. Powers starting with G, H, I, J, K, and L are now done enough for now.

February 5th, 2015: with the Saga System 13 Powers document basically functional, I started copying the specific information for each power's suit, as well as what kind of power it is within each of my custom origin books, for the first big block of powers. So, all the powers that start with A, B, C, D, E, and F are now done-ish.

February 4th, 2015: while it's not pretty, I have rendered the Saga System 13 Powers document functional. This took some doing, let me tell you, as the new hosting plan doesn't bother to tell me what .asp errors I have committed, just that it has failed. So I had to suss out each error the very hard and very tedious way. Beh.

February 3rd, 2015: since Saga System 13 has no equivalent to Quirks, I have opted to take care of something else that needs doing whilst I have update time scheduled for that game. Thus, I've begun to construct the mammoth Powers document, since it needs doing, and the material for it is already written. Even if it needs another proofing.

February 2nd, 2015: so the Edition 13 Quirks are done up once more, and supposedly perfect. Again. As are the Universal Heroes Quirks. Just like they were three days ago. Grr. But since they're at least better than they were before, I have poured the data from this document into the 4C System: Edition 13 text file downloadable. Enjoy!

February 1st, 2015: with many changes wrought on the 4C System: Edition 13 Quirks document, I went and proofread the thing again. And, once again, found numerous grammatical improvements, potential exploits, and a few Pronoun Problems I fixed. And of course fixed in the Universal Heroes variation on this text as well. Le sigh.

January 31st, 2015: since I've sorted out the original, The CASE version of the Quirks document, I suppose it's high time I do the same for the 4C System: Edition 13 variation on that theme. I thus went ahead and applied the many and various changes to this document required to fix its Pronoun Problem, and sadly they were legion.

January 30th, 2015: having once again finalized (ha ha) the Quirks data for the Universal Heroes system, I went ahead and poured the ever more perfected material from this document into the Universal Heroes text file downloadable. This didn't take too long, really, since there aren't any tables to handle here (they come later).

January 29th, 2015: since I've made changes to the Universal Heroes system's Quirks document, I suppose I ought to proofread the darn thing. Again. So that's precisely what I have done. Seems like I caught most everything save for a few doubled words when I fixed the Pronound Problem in this text, so maybe I can stop fussing with it?

January 28th, 2015: once again, I am working on my Quirks file for the Universal Heroes rules. Because I apparently haven't had to fix this material enough over the course of my life. Sigh. Anyway, I have given the Quirks thing a quick pass through to fix all the Pronoun Problems its text had, and then I went and added three more Quirks!

January 27th, 2015: it would appear that I am now halfway done with my overhaul of the lesser tanar'ri, for I have just wrapped up my rehabilitation of my Maurezhi descriptions. These fellows needed a bunch of work, even with my having done them relatively recently, since I hadn't quite finalized how I was doing some powers just yet.

January 26th, 2015: tanar'ri, am I right? Since I'm done with all the least, almost-petitioner tanar'ri, and the half-breed tanar'ri, I finally get to start up on the really scary demons. The first of these are the armanites, who more or less run their own layer of the Abyss, since the place is crawling with them, and no one else wants it.

January 25th, 2015: continuing the beginning of my slog through the rehabilitation of the lesser tanar'ri, I have cleaned up my entries for the cambion today. Like alu-fiends, they're the half-human (or whatever) offspring of tanar'ri, but these guys don't descend from succubi. And are all male for some reason. But what can you do?

January 24th, 2015: with their metaphysical ancestors out of the way, I am resuming work on the tanar'ri today, beginning my efforts to rehabilitate my descriptions of the 'lesser' of those fiends. First up are the alu-fiends, the hated offspring of succubi and mortal males, who possess mystical might to offset their physical frailty.

January 23rd, 2015: resuming efforts to sort out the MSH Infinity project's extant work once and for all, I've cleaned up the forebears of all tanar'ri - save for those who manifest out of nothingness, that is. These are of course the wretched, stupid larvae, who also form the basis of the baatezu and the hordelings, so there's that.

January 22nd, 2015: yep, the Space and Movement stuff for System 13 is finalized. So you know what that means. Text file downloadables! I've plugged the text from this document into the big System 13 text file, and of course straightened out the two big tables on that page, so now the System 13 stuff is starting to look more done. Heh, if only.

January 21st, 2015: the Space and Movement for Saga System 13 is done at last. I spent my Technoholic time today proofreading it today, trying to ensure that I didn't introduce any confusion in my attempt to maintain brevity, but found out that I had I failed to do so. So I rewrote a few bits here and there, and now it seems happy.

January 20th, 2015: so it's taken me a bit of time, but I have produced my Space and Movement document for Saga's System 13 variant. I've had a plethora of problems with this, as I am generally inclined to explain things at great length, because I like detail, but Saga is intent on... brevity where its rules are concerned. But I think I got it.

January 19th, 2015: as I have gotten into the habit of doing once I've finalized (ha ha) the text for a given rules-y document, I have poured the extant Space and Movement data for my Edition 13 variation on the 4C System into the text file downloadable for such. Those speed and range tables are really a pain to format, you know. Ugh.

January 18th, 2015: since I've straightened out my Universal Heroes Space and Movement text, I thought I'd do the same with my 4C System: Edition 13 version of the same. I forwarded fixes from the former to the latter while I worked on it, so I just had a few additional things to sort out today. Which I backtracked to the original.

January 17th, 2015: since the Universal Heroes' Space and Movement verbiage is now 'golden', it's high time I pour it into the text file downloadable, isn't it? This took some doing, what with all the massive movement tables that needed formatting in raw text, but I think I've made them at least minimally usable. I hope I'm right!

January 16th, 2015: turning my dread eye back upon my custom rules, I have screened the Space and Movement document for my Universal Heroes text for the Pronoun Problem, as well as any other lingering grammatical failures. I only found one instance of the Problem right at the end, so that's pretty good I think. Consider this text finalized.

January 15th, 2015: so that globe thing on the 13's main page. I tried to update it to the new, html 5 version offered by Revolvermaps ™, but as it turned out they lied when they said visitor counts could be easily transferred from one globe to another. So, it has to start over. But just look at the thing, isn't it beautiful?

January 14th, 2015: a cursory check of the 13 indicated that everything was hunky dory yesterday, but I found a few odd pages here and there that were throwing up SSL errors. I had to manually figure out what each one was doing to trip said errors, and I think, save for one glaring exception, that all is right with the world once more.

January 13th, 2015: I spent several hours modifying the 13 today, to add a SSL certificate to the thing. This was easier said than done, since just about everything I'd read on the internets was telling me incorrectly what I needed to do. I consulted my former web site co-worker for help on this, though, and it's on now.

January 12th, 2015: well then. Now that I've cleaned up what I had for the quasits, strange tanar'ri familiars set up to dupe wizards into doing terrible evil, I am all done with the 'least' amongst that race of Abyssal demons. I had forgotten that quasits had quite so many powers - but that's okay, it just makes them that much more fun?

January 11th, 2015: continuing my effort to sort out the least tanar'ri before I lose interest, I have rehabilitated my work on the weird rutterkin. These Abyssal oddities are more powerful than most other, least tanar'ri, but are shunned by their fellow demons for some reason or another - and thus, don't see much Blood War action.

January 10th, 2015: the third of this batch of five's tanar'ri I'll be covering before attacking another portion of my custom rules, I have glossed over my work on the dretch today. While they may seem insignificant in the grand scheme of things, these fiends can easily overwhelm in vast numbers - which is just how they often appear.

January 9th, 2015: the Technoholic year, it is now seventy-five percent complete. Egad! Guess it's good that I'm working feverishly to wrap up everything I wanted to get done this year. In other words yes, I'm still pounding away at tanar'ri, and have just sorted out what I had for the weakest of those fiends - the wretched manes!

January 8th, 2015: I need to wrap up my tweaking of the MSH Infinity project, and the modrons are all done. That means it's time for us to start playing with the tanar'ri! To this end, I've ever so slightly updated the text on my extant, 'general' tanar'ri description, and built the Edition 13 variation as well. Which is a good start.

January 7th, 2015: the Saga Skills rules are all done up now. Yay! I've thus poured the sweet, succulent skills text into the Saga System 13 text file downloadable for your convenience and use, in or out of the file format of your choice. Sure, some day I'll produce a swank .pdf of the material I'm writing here, but that'll be... later.

January 6th, 2015: I proofread the Saga System 13 Skills document after having produced it yesterday, and I think I eliminated all the Edition 13 hiccups I forgot to remove the first time around. I also added another skill, Riding, which seemed pertinent enough to add retroactively to the other three skills-y documents. Three? Moo Hoo Haa Haa.

January 5th, 2015: so I wrote the System 13 game's Skills document today. The difficult part was phrasing the basic skills rules correctly, since I didn't want to readily allow for munchkin-ing. But I think I did all right in that regard, and even managed to add a few skills to the Saga rules (while some were removed for redundancy).

January 4th, 2015: as I did with the Universal Heroes' Talents file, I have poured the completed 4C System: Edition 13 Skills document into the latter rules' text file downloadable. This took a few minutes, and caused me to catch a minor error I missed in the previous three updates of this highly similar text, but at least I fixed it?

January 3rd, 2015: since the 4C System: Edition 13 version of the Unviersal Heroes' Talents file is pretty close to the original, I have been able to port changes to the latter over as I wrote them for the former. Thus, when re-proofreading the Skills document, I easily wrapped up the few errors and problems endemic to it alone. Woo!

January 2nd, 2015: I'm much, much happier with my Talents text than I used to be, so I went ahead and poured it into the rapidly growing Universal Heroes text file downloadable. Since there were no actual tables on the talents document, this didn't take me all that long. But it still takes a bit, so I hope that's an okay update for today.

January 1st, 2015: happy new year! Since I have wrapped up them there modrons, I thought I would start up another round of texty fixes in my various rules systems. Because they have a Pronoun Problem. This latest document to receive my undivided attention is the Universal Heroes' Talents section. Which also got many grammar fixes!

December 31st, 2014: as ends the year of 2014, so ends my continued attention to the quirky beings known as modrons. This is because, on this auspicious date, I have completed my efforts to rehabilitate all seventeen of my works related to these strange proponents of law. In other words, I sorted out what I had for rogue modrons!

December 30th, 2014: my work on the rehabilitation of my descriptions of the modrons is coming to a head. Just today, in fact, I sorted out my depictions of the One and the Prime, Primus itself. This singular, godlike modron is the architect of its race's form, function, and purpose, and is inexplicable to us mere mortals.

December 29th, 2014: keeping at my relentless modron work, I have cleaned up my renditions of the four secundus. And apparently all these years these poor guys have existed with numerous errors that nobody bothered to point out. I think someone even used these in a .pdf file project of theirs! How could you. HOW. COULD. YOU.

December 28th, 2014: well, I've sorted out the tertians today, which took a bit of doing. In addition to adding and reorganizing all the common modron powers for these guys, I had to touch up all the text extant on their pages, which were rife with errors. I also re-revisited the pentadrones and the decatons, to better organize 'em.

December 27th, 2014: though they're starting to grate on my soul somewhat, much as the Star Brand wielders recently did, I'm trying real hard to wrap up my vast modronic overhaul. I continued this work today by sorting out the quartons, save for that big block of common modron powers, and re-revisited the tridrone and quadrone's power organization.

December 26th, 2014: today I jumped back into the fray with modrons, and have cleaned up what I had for the quintons. This took a lot longer than expected, as their powers needed some serious ironing out. Of course, I also took the time out to re-revisit the monodrone and duodrone, to better organize their powers (for consistency).

December 25th, 2014: what do you know, I've got an xxx-mas present for you! This is an addition to the Saga System 13 text file downloadable, that being all the Intensities and Card Play data concocted over the last two days. These text files are growing fast, aren't they? Sure, they're not pretty, but that's not why you have them!

December 24th, 2014: though I pored over the Intensities and Card Play document with great vigor as I pieced it together, I nonetheless found several ways to improve what I had wrought yesterday as I proofread the thing. These were mostly tweaks to word choice and placement, though I did rearrange a few sentences for efficiency.

December 23rd, 2014: writing new material is hard. Heh. I thought I could repurpose a bunch of text from the Ranks and FEATs or Rank Values and ACTs files for my Saga System 13's Intensities and Card Play document, but only the material strength stuff was easily portable to Saga. So yeah, there's some almost entirely new stuff for you!

December 22nd, 2014: so yeah, text file downloadables. I took the time today to pour the text from the Rank Values and ACTs document into the 4C System: Edition 13 text file. As was the case with the Universal Heroes' Ranks and FEATs document, this went kind of quickly, since there were fewer (and smaller) tables to unjumble.

December 21st, 2014: with the metrics file for the Universal Heroes game fine tuned, I must now do the same for the 4C System: Edition 13's Rank Values and ACTs document. Having 'shared' most of the changes I wrought two days ago, this was a relatively simple affair. Though I did tweak a bit of grammar, which I back-ported to the other version.

December 20th, 2014: having finally (I think) become satified with the Ranks and FEATs text for my Universal Heroes rules, I went ahead and poured it into the Universal Heroes text file downloadable. This was of course pretty straight-forward, and took a bit less time than the Ability Scores document text, since it had less tables.

December 19th, 2014: hitting modron head space saturation a lot faster than I thought, now seemed as good a time as any to start work on another of my rules documents. This one, the Ranks and FEATs portion of my Universal Heroes rules, was actually doing good, where the Pronoun Problem is concerned. I just made a few minor grammatical tweaks.

December 18th, 2014: hextons! I have cleaned up my description of these towering brutes for you today, which means I've rehabilitated half of my hierarch modrons thus far. The only problem is I realized that I needed to organize these like I did the tanar'ri, for clarity. So I'll backpedal and clean up the previous modron stuff shortly.

December 17th, 2014: septons! Continuing the gradual slide from onerous ridiculousness to merely tedious repetition, I am having an easier time of working on the hierarch modrons by the day. This is because, as they grow more powerful, their roster of powers seems to resolve itself into 'they can do a lot of generally undeclared magic'.

December 16th, 2014: octons! That's right, I have continued my press to revitalize my descriptions of the hierarch modrons today, which saw me bringing yet another of these weird beings to parity with the rest of the material on the site. Luckily, I appear to be over the hump, for the octons involved a bit less work than the nonatons.

December 15th, 2014: as it would turn out, rehabilitating these early modron hierarchs is a time-consuming affair. I have spent a considerable amount of my time putting the nonatons back together again, since they have such a huge laundry list of supernatural capabilities, but at least they're all done now. Go check 'em out, why don't you.

December 14th, 2014: taking a break from rules-y stuff for a short while, I resumed work on the rehabilitation of my MSH Infinity critters. Today's work saw me dip my toes into the hierarch modrons for the first time, what with the base modrons all done now, and I've cleaned up my descriptions of the decatons - which took some doing.

December 13th, 2014: I'm quite happy with the new Contacts document for my System 13 variation on the Saga rules. As such, I've poured the data from it into the Saga System 13 text file downloadable, as I have been when I complete one of these pages in its entirety. I know these sound like 'weak' updates, but I assure you they'll pay off later.

December 12th, 2014: well, I'm otherwise done with the Contacts document (for now), so it seemed to be high time that I produce a similar batch of material for my Saga System 13 as well. I love the idea of contacts in a game, and Saga is much more plot-centric, so I thought my version of the system could use them. So you know, I added it.

December 11th, 2014: similar to how progression in the original game has gone thus far, I have poured my revised Edition 13 Contacts data into the Edition 13 text file. Sure, that leaves a big void between finished sections, but what's that? What's that odd hint of 'moar' to come after the Contacts material? Oh, I do love to tease.

December 10th, 2014: I s'pose that, since the Universal Heroes' Contacts file was overhauled, I should perform the same changes to the 4C System: Edition 13 variation. And I have! Making these changes before I proofed the thing made for a much smoother read, naturally, so at least this went a bit easier. So now that's done, at least.

December 9th, 2014: though it irked me that something so recently produced, as my Contacts document was, was rife with Pronoun Problems, I am at least glad that the thing is better for a more recent pass through. So having completed that proofing, I have poured the Contacts document's data into the ever-growing Universal Heroes text file.

December 8th, 2014: I thought I'd mix it up a bit in the overhauls of my many and various custom rules documents, so instead of progressing in a direct, linear fashion, I've gone to the back of the bus. Or what will be the back of the bus. In other words, I've fixed the Pronoun Problems in my Universal Heroes Contacts document. Sigh.

December 7th, 2014: though it's not true completion, it sure does feel like it. This is because, upon my wrapping up the overhaul of the pentadrones today, I've gotten all the base modron descriptions I wrote years and years ago rehabilitated. Sure, there's eleven of these guys to go yet, but at least now I've finished a tangible chunk of 'em.

December 6th, 2014: I've always liked the quadrones. And not just because I'm a neurotic wreck where the alphabet is concerned, and like things that start with the letter Q. No, they've just managed to trip my trigger repeatedly over the years because they're so darn quirky. I think that's why I'd play a rogue modron if ever given the chance.

December 5th, 2014: ah, four down, thirteen to go. That's because I have just rehabilitated what I'd previously wrought in regards to the tridone, the middle managers of sorts in the base modron hierarchy. I spiffied these guys up, added an Edition 13 variation, and streamlined the powers to make them easier to reference. Enjoy!

December 4th, 2014: slowly moving up the rungs on the ladder of law, I overhauled what I had written previously for the duodrone. These really weird little fellows act as the supervisors of the seemingly endless hordes of monodrones, which means there's ostensibly only one twelfth as many of them as there are their inferiors. I think?

December 3rd, 2014: since I sorted out the 'common' Modron document yesterday, and have cleaned up all the grammatical horrors within, I took time out today to do the same with my first actual Modron description, that of the lowly Monodrone. These tiny little magical cyborg servitors are now modernized, and even have an Edition 13 variation!

December 2nd, 2014: you may have noticed that I like to break up big tasks here at the 13, both to keep the interest of its three or four fans as well as my own. This is why I stopped work on the rules-y bits to begin cleaning up the last of the really old things on the site: my descriptions of the many and various modrons of Mechanus.

December 1st, 2014: having 'finalized' the Saga System 13 Ability Scores document, I have added it to the nascent Saga System 13 text file downloadable. This sounds relatively easy, and it is, but it's kind of time-consuming. Even using find and replace technology, resolving those tables into intelligible text takes a little bit.

November 30th, 2014: I was going to add little bits to each ability score, but I think the text finally speaks for itself. Thus, after proofreading it once at work, making some changes, then proofing it a second time at home, I think I've got the second document in the Saga System 13 game, its Ability Scores file, completely sorted out.

November 29th, 2014: having written the 'last word' on my Ability Score / Trait documents, I thought I'd manufacture one for my Saga System 13 game. Saga has few statistics to define a character, so some of those you're familiar with are rolled together somewhat, but I think I've made a decent effort applying what I've written to it.

November 28th, 2014: mirroring the progress I've made with my latest tweaks to the Universal Heroes' custom rules, I have started construction of the 4C System: Edition 13 text file today. I'd been meaning to finally throw one of these together for a while now, but now that I'm doing rules work again, it seemed as good a time as any.

November 27th, 2014: since they're so similar, I have propagated the changes I made to the Universal Heroes' Ability Scores document to the 4C System: Edition 13's Traits text, and then proofread it one more time. And, naturally, found one or two grammatical quibbles that I could not only fix, but then give back to the original.

November 26th, 2014: I think I've tweaked the Universal Heroes Ability Scores document to death now, so I have started work on the big text file version of these rules. As I'd already done the Introduction a few months ago, I text-i-fied that bit of literature as well, since it only added a few more seconds to the overall task, really.

November 25th, 2014: since I've sorted everything else I've been working on since the beginning of this Technoholic year, I figured I'd devote a bit of time to my various custom rules bits. As I fixed pronoun issues in the Universal Heroes game's Introduction last time I touched this, I thought I'd work its Ability Scores page today.

November 24th, 2014: wrapping up the third thing I've been grinding away on for the last seven months, I've written my last of Professor Zog's (and thus, Electro's) villains for now. This guy was Doctor Lorrof, who was so vexed over being thrown out of the scientific community that he sicced his Green Terror on the people of Titan City!

November 23rd, 2014: well, I'm done. I've completed my pass through the entire GI Joe portion of the 13, ensuring that everything is working properly after the ginormous hosting upgrade. However, I did find one error that required fixing, which wasn't due to the move, so I guess that's a good thing, particularly for the '97 roster.

November 22nd, 2014: it's melting my brain, let me tell you, but I'm making progress in the manual checking of the GI Joe portion of the 13, to verify that it's all working after the big hosting upgrade. Thus far, I've covered all the Cobra stuff, and all the Joes through 1994, which entailed a whole lot of click click clicking.

November 21st, 2014: it irked me considerably to have to go through each document in my New Universe handbook today, since I could swear I just finished an overhaul the darn thing only a couple of weeks ago. Oh that's right, I did. Beh. But yeah, this stuff has been certified functional once more. So that just leaves one. Huge. Chunk.

November 20th, 2014: the Timely Heroes portion of the 13 has been verified to be functioning properly today. Oh sure, I found a few errors here and there, but these were exclusively due to me not having fixed a character roster index page, as opposed to moving the site. Which means those particular errors have been around for a while now. Sigh.

November 19th, 2014: sorted out my manual verification of the Variant Earth 13 portion of the site today. I did indeed manage to find a few broken objects in this area of the 13, but this was because I hadn't properly updated some of the server side includes when I upgraded them from their Mark 3 varieties to their current, Mark 4 versions.

November 18th, 2014: I spent today doing lots of clicking. Click click click click. But what this has done has ensured that the Miscellaneous Marvel roster, the MSH Infinity project, and my various Transformers efforts are all functioning smoothly. Strangely enough, nothing here was broken, so other than boring me to death, no harm was done here.

November 17th, 2014: well then, I guess I hadn't fixed everything. Hitting the Custom Rules portion of the 13, I realized that the pages with power rosters have failed, but for the same reason as the rest of the site. Having fixed all the individual includes for each power on each roster page, I checked them all and ensured they were running.

November 16th, 2014: I started my manual verification of the site's proper functioning today, namely by covering all of the top level documents, as well as some of the general features that apply to the site as a whole. The Master Roster, Updates Catalog, Atomic Links, Site Basics, Author Details, and more appear to be working just fine.

November 15th, 2014: armed with a fix for the problems that migrating the site to its new hosting plan has caused, I have uploaded the whole thing to the new server. Again. Preliminary checks of what I have wrought appear to indicate that I have found the problem, and managed to fix it, but I'll have to verify every single page manually.

November 14th, 2014: while the new hosting plan I've procured for the 13 is indeed awesome, the down side is that transferring everything over has effectively broken the site. I spent a few hours today banging my head against the wall, but I figured out just how the new version of IIS has broken server side includes as I coded them.

November 13th, 2014: I have taken advantage of a very rare opportunity, that being a great sale and my actually having some money in the bank for once. What I have done is that I have upgraded the hosting plan for the site today, not only netting a more versatile hosting solution for the 13, but arranging its duration for the next five years!

November 12th, 2014: wrapping my overhaul up once and for all, I tinkered with the New Universe index page here on the 13. I ironed out a kink or two in the text, as well as the .html. Though I want to do something with the images, and finally have the font to do it with, I don't have image editing software at the moment, so it's good enough.

November 11th, 2014: I have not actually done any work on the StarBlast mini-series, aside from my inexplicable description of the Living Tribunal. But through the simple process of attrition, some characters I've worked on already that showed up in that book have been covered on the 13, so I (finally) updated that event's index page.

November 10th, 2014: now that the Psi-Force stuff is taken care of, I have but one character description to rehabilitate before I can put the 'old' New Universe material to bed. And this guy, the Living Tribunal, almost fell to the Firebomb Curse, having been killed off in a recent Marvel comic. But then he showed up months later, just fine! Whew.

November 9th, 2014: with all thirty-three (!) of the characters from my Psi-Force arm of the New Universe reference sorted once and for all (for reals this time!), I went through the motions required to clean up that section's features. Have tweaked the issue guides, rebuild the .zip file archive, and freshened up a bit of .html. All done!

November 8th, 2014: sure, I could've wrapped up the Psi-Force stuff, but I thought I'd go and end this Technoholic month by adding another odd entry to the Timely Heroes reference. This one was a description of the Onees, weird, reptilian cyclopes that Professor Zog (and Electro) did battle with in the pages of Marvel Mystery Comics.

November 7th, 2014: ah, veritable completion. Today marks the last update to a character I need to perform for the Psi-Force portion of my New Universe reference, and the penultimate character update for that project as a whole. What I'm trying to say is that I've mostly rewritten what I had for the Psi-Hawk for all y'all. Love me?

November 6th, 2014: for my penultimate rehabilitation of a Psi-Force related character, I've tinkered with what I had written for Lindsey Falmon: Overtime! Her powers were pretty spot on, really, aside from a general tweak to her psychometry that made it more powerful than was listed. And as always, fixed a grammatical glitch or two.

November 5th, 2014: concluding my sixth year of daily updates, even if some were rather minimal, I've overhauled my description of Wayne Tucker: Network. This one took a while, what with him having demonstrated so many different telepathic abilities over the course of the Psi-Force series' run, but he's finally sorted out.

November 4th, 2014: it's nice knowing I'm almost done with my overhaul of the New Universe thing. Maybe once I wrap this up, I can actually start building new character descriptions for it! At any rate, I've cleaned up what I had for Kathy Ling today. And not just because I love the code name of Shockwave, either. Not just.

November 3rd, 2014: I am a horrible person. Because I'm so horrible, I have written up a capsule description of the dread species that spawned Gnorr: Emperor of the Moon! They are the Gnorrkin, which is not at all their real name, just something of a placeholder for now. But I'm sure some wiki will steal that in no time flat.

November 2nd, 2014: it would appear that I'm slowly but surely whittling down the last major portion of the New Universe reference that needed fixing. This is because, after having cleaned up my description(s) of Sedara, I'm down to but four members of Psi-Force that need some work. And this one wasn't too bad to deal with, really.

November 1st, 2014: while yesterday's rehab work may have worked as a fitting Halloween update, today's would've served that purpose as well. That's because I wrapped up my overhaul of the Red Sun team's roster by cleaning up what I'd written for Shivowtnoeh, a Russian high school girl whose parability turned her bestial!

October 31st, 2014: since it's Halloween, I've (re)made you a monster! The deadliest enemy Psi-Force faced, Rodstvow was a dangerously insane paranormal with staggering powers of energy generation and matter manipulation, which he used at the slightest whim... and ultimately forced friend and foe alike to put him down for good.

October 30th, 2014: heading back to the Red Sun roster, I've taken care of the third of five entries from that group that I needed to rehabilitate. This particular Soviet operative, Sillatochca, was an unwilling addition to the group, but when the KGB takes your entire family hostage, it tends to make you revise your position on things.

October 29th, 2014: so it turned out that I got done with my description of Megatron a lot faster than I expected. I managed this by trying to really get inside his head, to feel how he ticks. The only problem there, though, was that I was still in that mindset when I went to work today. I was talking to everyone in villain-speak. Heh.

October 28th, 2014: while I'm supposed to be working on the Red Sun roster, I keep finding myself wanting to visit old friends from the Psi-Force series, so I am being slow about it. This is why, instead of hitting another Russian, I instead rehabilitated my description of Thomas Boyd, who has one of those silly, 90s style misspelled aliases.

October 27th, 2014: the idea today was to get back on the Red Sun villain roster today, and I did after a fashion, but this allowed me to cover the one member of the team who was also a part of the Psi-Force! That was Johnny Do, or whatever he was being called in a given issue, an incredibly destructive, pyrokinetic austistic paranormal.

October 26th, 2014: I know I said I was going to crank on those wacky Red Sun guys and gals, but I was motivated to clear up another actual member of Psi-Force, so I did. This latest fixer-upper was on Anastasia Inyushin, the Healer, whose power roster needed a complete reworking. But hey, the things we do for perfection, right?

October 25th, 2014: I suppose I should continue my work on the Psi-Force stuff, if it's ever going to get done. This is why I hunkered down today in the Firebomb-cave, and started my work on the Red Sun team, one of Psi-Force's villain groups. They had a few, after all. The first portion of this work was on its leader, Coojeechiscue.

October 24th, 2014: since the Web is all sorted, I took a momentary break from the Psi-Force stuff to add an all new character description to the 13! This one was Gnorr, a bizarre alien villain that Professor Zog tripped over when he went joyriding with some buddies in that space ship he stole from Jago way back in the day.

October 23rd, 2014: hey hey. On this auspicious date, I have completed my work on the Medusa Web, having finally rehabilitating its twelfth and final member: Troublemaker! I also spent a few moments cleaning up the .html and text on the Medusa Web index page, to put them to bed at last, and prepare for new things!

October 22nd, 2014: another day, another Medusa Web operative buffed up. This latest overhaul was of Toocheetsch, which I can't even pronounce. He's the 'big guy' from the Web that eventually figured out how to shrink his volume down to pose as Mikhail Gorbachev himself. Too bad that plot never got expanded on!

October 21st, 2014: well, now that I've sorted out my somewhat broken rendition of the Medusa Web's very own Skybreaker, it would appear that I've already fixed up ten of these guys. Out of twelve! So here's hoping my momentum holds, and I can get these jokers ironed out once and for all in the next couple of days. Barring another new entry.

October 20th, 2014: continuing my slog through the Medusa Web roster, not that they're all that bad so much that wrapping them up is just time-consuming, I've rehabilitated my descriptions of Relampago this time around. She only had one power, and only really showed up in one issue, but at least what I have is all spiffy again.

October 19th, 2014: though they both share certain oddities in appearance, Imprint isn't much like Gatto di Sangue. Sure, they're both bone white in hue, but Imprint isn't much of a fighter. No, his skills lie in the surrepetitious collection of audio-visual data from others, which he seems capable of managing with mind-boggling ease.

October 18th, 2014: so I'm still hammering away at those yahoos in the Medusa Web, and have officially crossed the Rubicon, for this group is more than halfway done now! Today's seventh overhaul of a Web operative saw me cleaning up what I had for Gatto di Sangue, the Italian Blood Cat, who was something of a super acrobatic combatant.

October 17th, 2014: continuing my overhaul of the New Universe's Psi-Force thing, which shouldn't be necessary as many times as I've revised them, I've hit another Medusa Web operative today. This one was Electrique, whose power roster was totally overhauled, and I also tweaked all of her grammar. And finally noted her as deceased!

October 16th, 2014: my effort to wrap up the Psi-Force portion of the New Universe handbook overhaul proceeds, if not necessarily apace. Today, I've struck down another member of the Medusa Web - or at least, crossed them off my list of things to do. That's because I've tidied up what I've written for Dustoff, the Web's resident pilot!

October 15th, 2014: so I suppose I should get cracking on the New Universe stuff, if I'm to wrap it up by the end of this Technoholic month. To this end, I've resumed my work tweaking the membership of the Medusa Web, this time covering another of my favorite individuals from this group - Gunther - though you may know him as Donner Kopf!

October 14th, 2014: it's been a while since I've added any new folks to the 13, what with me having been critically time crunched last month, but since I had a bit more wiggle room I've built another Transformer. This one, Rumble, is the penultimate addition to my 1984 Decepticon roster. And you all know who's coming up next.

October 13th, 2014: since I'm finally done with the Star Brand portion of my New Universe reference, I took care of a few loose ends today. I rebuilt the text file archive with the newly revised Star Brand character roster, tweaked the various issue guides for stylistic and SEO purposes, and fixed a .html error or three to wind everything down.

October 12th, 2014: having renewed my 'Marvel Unlimited' subscription on a temporary basis to research Ereshkigal's resurrection, I also did this with Quasar. So, armed with the knowledge I needed, I've at long last modernized Quasar's three variations here on the 13. I think his is one of my longest character descriptions ever.

October 11th, 2014: I have begun my final revision in the Star Brand portion of the New Universe handbook. This, naturally, involves my sorting out what I've written about Quasar, the Protector of the Universe! But, to do this, I had to sort out just how he came back from the dead (again), which involved lots of research.

October 10th, 2014: in my penultimate overhaul for the Star Brand characters, I've performed a few fixes on Arden, a variant timeline researcher introduced in the Untold Tale of the New Universe featuring Ken Connell. She was mostly all right, really, but a few of the functions on her vehicle, Tangentia, needed a tweak here and there.

October 9th, 2014: at the dawn of this, our seventh Technoholic month of the Technolic year, I have performed an overhaul on yet another wielder of the Star Brand. Not only did I clean up Ereshkigal's Star Brand powers, but I sorted out her deviant powers and spells some, and even updated her history to account for her recent comeback. And death.

October 8th, 2014: so here we are, at the end of another Technoholic month, and in fact half way through the current Technoholic year. Woo! Sticking to my guns while I can regarding the Star Brand fixes, I've tweaked yet another individual from this series. This one was the Gladiator, a foe of Ken Connell's who might've matched him in brawn!

October 7th, 2014: though I was perfectly happy to resume work on the Psi-Force stuff, what with me having resolved the repair of one more wielder of the Star Brand two days back, here I've gone and sorted out another. This one is Kayla Ballantine, who is now resident in both the Star Brand index and the Marvel Miscellany.

October 6th, 2014: still hanging around in the Star Brand portion of the New Universe reference, since I didn't necessarily have to fix up another Brand wielder today to stick with my overall plan for this section of the 13, I cleaned up another also-ran one-trick pony villain that Ken Connell faced: the fear-inducing Hysteria!

October 5th, 2014: it took me a good long time to mentally recharge, but I finally got enough oomph in me to sort out and revitalize another wielder of the Star Brand. So, I hopped back over to that portion of the New Universe reference and cleaned up what I had for Jacob Burnsley, one of my favorite Star Brand characters. Save for Quasar, naturally.

October 4th, 2014: what do you know, I'm actually cleaning up my Psi-Force character descriptions. I hit Tyrone Jessup today, since he was one of my favorite characters from that series... and because he's the closest to everyone else I've already done. Unless you count Michael Crawley. But why would you want to go and do that?

October 3rd, 2014: to wrap up the non-Psi-Force folks hanging out on the primary Psi-Force index page, I have rehabilitated their very first villain: the Mindwolf. Though he only showed up in their first issue, Mindwolf had the potential to be a serious threat to the team, and would've easily wiped them out if not for their Psi-Hawk.

October 2nd, 2014: having alreadly cleaned up his ersatz, also-ran cousin Michael, it seemed high time I rehabiliate what I had for Emmett Proudhawk, the guy who brought the Psi-Force together in the first place. So that's precisely what I did, and though his power roster required a lot of love to fit within the new Manual, he's all good now.

October 1st, 2014: I suppose it was inevitable, but I've run out of normal human government antagonists from the Psi-Force series that require rehabilitation. So onto the supers! The first of these is the inexplicable, retconned cousin of Emmett Proudhawk, Michael, who has Emmett's powers as well as the ability to make a 'Psi-Hawk'.

September 30th, 2014: well, that's the end of another calendar month. That means the year is 3/4 done, already! If I'm to wrap up the New Universe overhaul by the end of my sixth year of constant updates, I better get cracking! And, keeping that in mind, I've revised my description of the late, unlamented Derek Shiningstar today.

September 29th, 2014: working my way up from the bottom of the Psi-Force roster, I've hit another rehabilitation of another government spook today. This one was the Skipper, who started out as something of an ally to the Psi-Force teenagers, at least until his ex-wife got killed while protecting them. After that, well, all bets were off.

September 28th, 2014: continuing my latest attempt to get my verve back regarding the 13, I'm moving on in my efforts to revitalize the Psi-Force portion of my New Universe reference. Today's improvement has seen me clean up Serge Vladimiroff's description, which wasn't too bad to begin with, along with adding his Edition 13 variaton.

September 27th, 2014: getting it in right at the deadline, I've made another update to the New Universe portion of the 13. This one is a rehabilitation of my entry for Andrew Chaser, a journalist from the Psi-Force series that had a habit of ruffling political feathers by writing about the government's dirty laundry. And various paranormals.

September 26th, 2014: okay, so I lied. I know I'm spending an inordinate amount of time messing around with the Atomic Links page, but I really do like the idea of letting folks know just why they should click on a link if I'm hosting it. So I've tried to be a bit more descriptive here today, and revised a few of my text blurbs here and there.

September 25th, 2014: I think I'm done fidgeting with the Atomic Links for now. I was hoping to turn up a few more former Geocities gems to add to the mix, but you can only dig so far into Google results before everything becomes a mishmash of 'doesn't remotely apply to the terms I searched for'. Oh, and I deleted a link that apparently died, uh, today.

September 24th, 2014: I added a few more recently found Atomic Links that I thought were long lost, save for their being preserved by Oocities and Reocities, two Geocities archive services / things. I also tweaked the text on a few more links today, since I am trying to be a bit more descriptive, and a bit less repetitive. I try, anyway.

September 23rd, 2014: since all the old stuff on the Atomic Links document has been sorted out, it's high time I added a couple new things to the mix, now, isn't it? I have indeed done a bit of that today, along with revising some of the snarky text I had about a site or two, because one of us should be the grown up here, I suppose.

September 22nd, 2014: with my migraine continuing, I thus continued my work on the Atomic Links document. It has been about five years since I last checked this page, after all, so why not, right? And I found a lot of these sites have died - and a lot more have moved. I tracked down those I could and deleted the rest. So there's that.

September 21st, 2014: due to a crushing migraine, I did something relatively light here at the 13 today - though a task which was nonetheless necessary. I've started going through the Atomic Links, to clear out any dead wood... and I've found some already. I'll add some back in when I'm done, assuming there's any new MSH sites.

September 20th, 2014: once again eyeing the Medusa Web's roster, I have managed to work a bit faster than I have the last three days. This is because I've wrapped up an overhaul of Backfire, who needed a bit of work. His old entry wasn't bad, so much as it was out of date, and I had to revise it to match the new rules here on the 13.

September 19th, 2014: well, I finally got myself set up with enough leisure time (such as it is) to wrap up my work to rehabilitate Potiphar. The problem I had was that I was trying to reuse too much of his old text, and reworking it over and over until it was garbage. So I basically rewrote about three fourths of him. He's much better now!

September 18th, 2014: ...yeah. Heh. I once again made a bit of progress on Potiphar, but sadly I haven't gotten around to wrapping this fellow up. I know I've been rehabilitating one guy a day here at the 13, when not adding new folks outright, but well, you know. Brain block happens. So I'll try to end work on this kook come the morrow. Word?

September 17th, 2014: so I started work on another member of the Medusa Web, this time the mass murdering idealist known as Potiphar, but real life has gotten in the way, and I didn't have the time to wrap his rehabilitation up. So the plan is, time permitting, to do so tomorrow, along with perhaps another member of the Web. Sorry about that?

September 16th, 2014: since I've hit a mental roadblock concerning the rehabilitation of various Star Brand wielders, I've simply sidestepped the issue by starting to work on the Psi-Force material a bit. To this end, I've begun cleaning up the Medusa Web roster, starting out with their leader, Babel - the co-founder of that organization!

September 15th, 2014: so today I intended to flesh out the plan I'd made for Rumble, the tenth Decepticon from 1984 (well, ninth if you don't count Reflector, but you know). However, I found out that apparently half of the New Universe handbook was broken, seemingly after a failure on the part of my web host. Beh. Fixed that, though.

September 14th, 2014: so I built a new rules document introducing a whole new system I'll be adding rules to here on the 13. Now what, you ask? Proofreading, of course! I went over the Saga System 13 Introduction document this time around, and made a few minor tweaks to make it flow better. Which I propagated to the other two, of course. Sigh.

September 13th, 2014: so I'd been meaning to actually start working up my 'take' on the Marvel Super Heroes Adventure Game, what with my having already done the powers work for such while I wrote the other three versions of it (yes, I said three), so today I did. With the Introduction documents fresh on my mind, I wrote one for Saga System 13!

September 12th, 2014: continuing the basic thread of work I engaged in yesterday, I've gone through the Introduction document for my 4C System: Edition 13 game materials. I essentially made the same changes I made yesterday on the Universal Heroes' Intro here, along with one or two tiny, Edition 13 specific mods. Firebomb is happy with it again.

September 11th, 2014: I thought I started doing this at some point, but it would appear that my rules texts still have a plethora of pronoun issues, so it looks like I'm giving them another run through. Beginning at the beginning seemed like a good idea, so I have proofread the Introduction document for the Universal Heroes rules today.

September 10th, 2014: so I skipped one issue of Professor Zog's foes because the guy in that book was but a mundane arsonist. Moving on to the next issue, that super scientist faced off against the Shark, a submarine pirate who had devised numerous advances in science - all of which were destroyed by the rampaging Electro: Marvel of the Age!

September 9th, 2014: hey, it's a new Technoholic month! And on this wonderful (?) occasion, I have wrapped up my rehabilitation of my description of another wielder of the Star Brand. This was another 'cheat', since Jim Hanrahan didn't really do anything with the Brand, but I was desperately lacking in motivation, so I went with him today.

September 8th, 2014: covered another mook from the Star Brand series today. This latest revision was of Pinhead, the cohort in crime of Spotty, done a couple days ago I guess, according to this here updates thing. I suppose that's one way to end another Technoholic month, right? Only eight more folks to go and this thing is done!

September 7th, 2014: so today, I sort of cheated. I did, in fact, cover one of the people who wielded the power of the Star Brand - or some portion therein. However, this guy hardly touched his true potential, since he didn't even know he had the thing until it was gone. He was Roger Price, a sort of 'everyman' featured in the Star Brand series.

September 6th, 2014: the slog through the New Universe's Star Brand section continues. I know I gripe and I gripe and I gripe, but I'll really be happy with all of these guys once I'm done sorting them all out. Even if there's like thirty-three Psi Force folks to cover, too. Argh. Anyway, I've rehabilitated Mr. Lovejoy's description today.

September 5th, 2014: though it took me a good long while to determine how to handle him, and even if I should handle him now or in two years (so to speak), I have finally condensed my thoughts on the Decepticon(s) known as Reflector into a singular character description. Even if he's three robots. Except when he's fifteen. He's tricksy that way.

September 4th, 2014: so my ears are truly seeing a heroic amount of brain matter flowing through them, but at least I have finally managed to wrap up my effort to clean up what I'd written for the Star Child, from the Star Brand comic series. I find it harder and harder to keep rewriting these Star Brand wielders as I progress here.

September 3rd, 2014: continuing my effort to avoid overhauling the various descriptions of the various wielders of the Star Brand from that comic and beyond, I've cleaned up another of the mooks from that series. This one was Spotty, a lumpily deformed paranormal who showed up in the second to last issue of the comic. For, uh, reasons.

September 2nd, 2014: found a bit of oomph today, so I went ahead and cleaned up what I had for the Old Man. Sure, his power set is slightly different than that of the other Star Brand wielders, but that's only 'cause he figured out how to mind control others. Ugh, only seven more of these Brand wielders to go. Unless my brain oozes out my ears first.

September 1st, 2014: I was having a tremendously difficult time motivating myself to work on endless reiterations of powers for people that have wielded the Star Brand in the past, so I took a temporary break from this, and covered one of the low-rent villains that showed up in that series. This overhaul, then, was of the deranged Tantrum.

August 31st, 2014: alas, poor August, we barely knew ye. Or something something poignant passing of time statement. Anyway! Since I wasn't sure they'd quite fit as a third 'addendum' to Doctor Bruno Varoz's description, I have built up the Living Corpses as their very own description, in the Timely Things portion of that reference. Enjoy!

August 30th, 2014: at last, I'm done with this. I have verified all the links to all the stuff I've cleaned up so far in the New Universe gaming reference work again. This included the two Spitfire villain groups, the Pitt, the Draft, Justice, and the Star Brand stuff I've done so far. The rest I'll verify as I clean them up. Because why do it now?

August 29th, 2014: continuing the horrible, mind-rending link verification process I have to do since I reconfigured the New Universe handbook's link structure, I have gone through and tested all the links to characters in the main Spitfire index, as well as their equivalents on the Master Roster. Only one more day of this to go!

August 28th, 2014: the head-crushing link rechecking continues today, to verify I haven't broken my New Universe handbook beyond repair. Or even within the ability to repair, but I digress. Today I verified the Mark Hazzard: Merc and Nightmask portions of the guide didn't fall apart when I reconfigured the whole thing.

August 27th, 2014: so to break up the link verification process I need to do, if only to spare me the monotony of going click click click CLICK CLICK CLICK all day, I am doing these checks in small bursts. Today, I have ensured my index pages for both DP 7 and Kickers Inc. work properly, as well as their like Master Roster links.

August 26th, 2014: returning to my Transformers reference to continue my regular additions to the 13, I have added yet another description of a 1984 Decepticon - though I'm rapidly running out of these guys! Today's latest character to grace the site is Laserbeak, one of the Decepticon's best interrogators.. and greatest cowards.

August 25th, 2014: wrapping up my upheaval of the New Universe handbook, I have gone and transferred the changes I have wrought over to the Master Roster, so that site feature can still point people at the various New Universe character descriptions I have produced. Considering the silly way I built the Master Roster, this took some doing.

August 24th, 2014: since I'm doing a lot of low level maintenance on the New Universe handbook, now seemed a prudent time to fix up some of the special New Universe features I've produced. I tweaked the Chronology, Links and News documents to keep them working, since some of the changes I've wrought broke bits of each of these things.

August 23rd, 2014: since I renamed the New Universe handbook's top level directory yesterday, I went ahead and threw caution to the wind, and further renamed a lot of the lower level directories as well. Since my existing placement is going to be out the window, I figured I may as well get it all done in one go. To save me any future angst.

August 22nd, 2014: finding I tire of Google increasingly burying my New Universe work under a bunch of garbage and x-rated furry profiles, I've gone and changed the name of the directory it sits within. While this sounds simple enough, it sort of breaks everything when you've got literally thousands of links using the old urls. Bah!

August 21st, 2014: it's time I produced another all new entry for the 13, and this one was wacky. He is Doctor Bruno Varoz, a neurosurgeon who lost his mind (whether through illness or self-experimentation, who knows). Deciding to conquer the world, he and his Igors transformed hundreds of corpses into his criminal revenant army!

August 20th, 2014: so all three of the characters featured prominently in the Pitt special who don't have a home elsewhere in the New Universe handbook have all been rehabilitated. That left my editing the text for its plot summary, as well as creating a text file version of such. Oh, and cleaning up the Pitt index page and zip file.

August 19th, 2014: having cleaned up the other two characters endemic to the Pitt portion of my New Universe handbook, I figured I should take care of the last one. That fellow, the Witness, was kind of tricksy, since he's just a disembodied consciousness. Sort of like a ghost, but I haven't really sorted out how I'm doing ghosts yet. Beh.

August 18th, 2014: so I made a big logistics decision about the New Universe handbook, and I'm starting to think about how to deal with it, but in the meantime I have upgraded the second of three of my Pitt one-shot special's characters. This one was the Famileech, something of a horror character that came about soon after the Pitt proper.

August 17th, 2014: resuming work in the New Universe handbook, I've cleaned up my description of Colonel MacIntyre Browning. No, this wasn't a Star Brand character, but one of the people who first appeared in the Pitt one-shot special. Yeah, I switched from the Star Brand section to the Pitt, 'cause it only had three more folks waiting.

August 16th, 2014: another skull-crushing migraine, another Transformer character description. It took me a bit longer than usual to concoct my take on Thundercracker, if only because I rewrote the 'boilerplate' Transformers power roster for him. I try to do that every once in a while, so my 'bots aren't totally repetitive each time.

August 15th, 2014: having cleaned up the Star Brand, the most dangerous weapon in perhaps every Marvel timeline, I have performed the subsequent rehabilitation of its most notorious wielder: Ken Connell. A shiftless layabout who used his new, infinite might to pick up on girls, Ken ultimately ruined his world with his power.

August 14th, 2014: since the Spitfire stuff is finally done, I'm starting the third to last portion of my New Universe reference that needs cleaning up. This one, the Star Brand, covers the titular device itself, as well as the many and various people who wielded it, or were directly affected by its use (or misuse, as the case may be).

August 13th, 2014: now that I'm done with my overhaul of the Spitfire portion of my New Universe handbook, as well as done with adding characters to this thing, uh, again, I figure I should go ahead and rebuild the text file archive of the thing I made available for your downloading ease. And I've done that, replacing every file within!

August 12th, 2014: it's been a good long time, but I actually added an all new character to my New Universe reference today. I know, you were looking for more of Professor Zog's foes today, or maybe a Transformer, but on hindsight it seemed the guy who used the Mark 1 MAX to kill its creator and fight his daughter seemed relevant. Go figure.

August 11th, 2014: though I'd prettied up the Krotze International and Club character index documents, I realized that I hadn't actually done that with the Spitfire character index itself. So I cleaned its text up just a tad, and then did the same for the many and various issue guides I wrote for this series, almost finishing it up again!

August 10th, 2014: since the Club is all sorted out, I have gone and cleaned up the historical text (such as it is) on their known members index page. I have made this flow a bit better, and as I did with the Krotze International character index page, I removed a couple of irritating html artifacts that had been sitting there for years. Years.

August 9th, 2014: hey, it's a new Technoholic month! To start this auspicious, yet somewhat arbitrary period of time with a bang, I cleaned up the last extant entry from the Spitfire portion of my New Universe reference. Having already hit all the people, this as a generic sort of description of those Synergy Cyborgs Saxon St. John cooked up.

August 8th, 2014: rounding out this Technoholic month, I have completed my last character overhaul for the Spitfire portion of my New Universe gaming guide. This was Saxon St. John, a sort of kind of totally insane inventor who wanted to transform people into robots - robots that, naturally, he'd be in control of. Good thing he died, then.

August 7th, 2014: it's kind of a cheat, but my new character for today has a quick and dirty description. It's a tiny summary of Zoor, King Jago of the Dragon-Men's chief minion. It's quick and dirty because I sort of pasted it on to the end of Jago's description, like I tend to do with minor minions. But then, he had little detail to work with.

August 6th, 2014: once again picking up the pieces of my New Universe handbook, I've started work on the Club, that nefarious arms dealing terrorist group from the Spitfire comics. The first fellow from this group I've ironed out is Steel Hawk, who I spent a considerable amount of time rebuilding from scratch, so now he's all kosher again.

August 5th, 2014: having ironed out the kinks in all my extant descriptions of Krotze International personnel and devices of note, I just had to clean up the roster page that directs one to these gaming baubles. The text was more or less okay, just needing slight tweaks here or there, but I had a few errant HTML abominations that needed exorcising.

August 4th, 2014: today was kind of an easy day, in that the Krotze Industries device description I overhauled this time around was about the smallest one I've got on the 13. Scratch that, it is the smallest one I've got. It's a three paragraph write-up of the Strategic Defense Initiative Laser emitter that KI had the contract to build.

August 3rd, 2014: while I've sorted out the descriptions of two corrupt corporate goons running Krotze International thus far, I haven't really done anything for their techology yet. But hey, I'm fixing that starting now, beginning with the first of their two non-MAX creations, the Drone Assault Vehicle, Mark 3, also known as the Behemoth!

August 2nd, 2014: it's that time in my updates cycle where I build another description of a Transformer from 1984. And this one was a doozy. Seething with destructive urges, Frenzy yearns to throw himself bodily at anyone or anything that stands in his way, and doesn't want to stop until nothing remains but broken piles of rubble!

August 1st, 2014: it's August! Easing into this, the eighth month of 2014 (already, ugh), I have finished working on the extant entries I have for criminal Krotze International employees. This second fellow I've cleaned up today is Richard Faylen, Fritz Krotze's right hand minion in all his various endeavors, both legal and otherwise.

July 31st, 2014: alas, poor month of July, we hardly knew thee. To end out this calendar month, I have begun my work cleaning up the Krotze International portion of my New Universe reference's Spitfire section. And to start things off with a bang, I performed the many and sundry fixes necessary to shore up my entry for Fritz Krotze himself!

July 30th, 2014: it looks like I've finished overhauling the last individual within the actual Spitfire directory I built for my New Universe handbook - even if this comic has a few more oddities to go. And maybe something all new. Beh. Anyway, I fixed up what I had for War Tiger, though truth be told, he wasn't all that bad, really.

July 29th, 2014: getting back on the Spitfire bandwagon, I've cleaned up another of her actual villains. This one was the amoral mercenary Evan Reinger, who actually gave her a run for her money. But then, he had just stolen a state of the art, experimental fighter/bomber, and was trying real hard to kill her with the thing. So there's that.

July 28th, 2014: since the Marvel Unlimited service I've been using to work up some of my new Timely Heroes character descriptions was finally at least somewhat functional today, I have gone ahead and built my description of Queen Nara, the inexplicably human ruler of the Lion-people of Ligra. And her named minion, Gor, too! Heh, Gorks.

July 27th, 2014: having only a couple of also-ran antagonists to go before my work rehabilitating the Spitfire portion of the New Universe is done, I thought I'd start with the most powerful. This fellow is Dimitri Durovich, a Soviet scientist who worked at Chernobyl - at least, until that reactor went belly up while he was inside it.

July 26th, 2014: completing my overhaul of the five Troubleshooters, I've straighened up what I had extant for Teresa 'Terry' Roberts, inventor of the Think-Tank neural induction field effect brain computer interface (or something to that effect) - not to mention all around pain in the posterior, at least where common sense was concerned.

July 25th, 2014: what do you know, I overhauled another Troubleshooter today. Surprise! This fourth of five such technological troublemakers was Eduardo Giotti, the young student of Jenny Swensen's who thought he was a serious contender to be her romantic interest - not realizing that, you know, that'd likely get her fired or something.

July 24th, 2014: resuming work on the Spitfire portion of my New Universe overhaul, I just cleaned up yet another Troubleshooter, meaning they're more than half done now! This fellow, Timothy Ferris, built a partial exoskeleton which basically gave him super speed - not too shabby. Too bad he got his legs blown off a short time later.

July 23rd, 2014: I've got another Transformer for you. While I'd intended to create something a bit more exotic, I've sadly got a bunch more research to do, and or decisions to make, regarding that guy. So instead, I've produced a description of the second of three original Seekers, from 1984. I hope you enjoy my rendition of Skywarp!

July 22nd, 2014: continuing my five part treatise on abused sidekicks, I have cleaned up what I had for the second of five Troubleshooters today. Eric Chin was an odd member of that group, in that he didn't build a MAX suit like his MIT cohorts. But then again, that kept him off the radar of the Steel Hawk, who wanted all of them dead.

July 21st, 2014: starting my work to rehabilitate Jenny Swensen's first group of sidekicks, I have cleaned up my efforts thus far on Andrew 'Andy' Meadows. This was the Troubleshooter who was the most serious about technology in general, and hadn't decided to abandon the MAX gear like his fellows did, once the going got just a tiny bit rough.

July 20th, 2014: not only is today my sister's birthday (ha ha, old), but this date is special 'cause I've finally gotten around to completing my overhaul of the five-man (and woman) Project: Spitfire team. That's right, I've wrangled a cleaned up version of Edmund Roth up for all y'all, in case any of you were waiting with baited breath. Anyone?

July 19th, 2014: working the fourth member of Project: Spitfire, I have rehabilitated my character descriptions of Anne Pollicino. Unlike Willy Deere, she actually showed up with the start of the whole 'Project: Spitfire' notion, as opposed to being some sort of seeming Marvin Sue (or whatever) tack-on. And she had some personality, too!

July 18th, 2014: returning to the inexplicable rogue's gallery that Professor Zog racked up in his many misadventures through Marvel's Golden Age, I have produced an all new description today. This latest entry covers Jago, the King of the Dragon-men, in all his villainous glory. I even started his thug, Zoor, but he'll get his own page soon.

July 17th, 2014: my progress in the process of overhauling the Spitfire portion of my New Universe reference is coming along quite nicely. I'm hip deep in upgrades to the Project: Spitfire group, which is why I cleaned up what I had for Willy Deere today. Even now, years later, I still don't know what this guy was supposed to add to the group.

July 16th, 2014: so the MAX armors have been covered. Hooray! Next on the agenda, now that Jenny Swensen herself has been described, is both of her sets of supporting cast. That's right, Jenny Swensen was so special that she needed not one, but two sets of sidekicks. Sigh. Anyway, the first of these I'm fixing is Project: Spitfire's Brick!

July 15th, 2014: with the heavy lifting finally done, I took time out of my busy schedule to wrap up my rehabilitation of the Man-Amplified Experimental (MAX) armor suits. My work on them concludes with a facelift for the Mark 4 variants of this technology, which basically saw them getting the same additions the previous suits did. Basically.

July 14th, 2014: resuming work on the Spitfire portion of the New Universe handbook, I've rehabilitated what I had for the Mark 3 MAX armor. This suit, arguably the most famous version of the technology, was seen through most of the New Universe after the Spitfire series itself was cancelled. Until it was blown up real good, at any rate.

July 13th, 2014: so I intended to build this guy a good five days ago, but I was apparently intent on destroying the site with my old netbook. So, I went ahead and wrote up Ravage today, him being the second of five micro-cassette warriors Soundwave originally used in the Decepticons' war against the Autobots. And he has many, many powers.

July 12th, 2014: so my effort to clean up the actual MAX armors present in the Spitfire portion of the New Universe handbook proceeds apace. I sorted out the Mark 1 suit yesterday, and now I've gone and rewired the Mark 2 suit today. Added a few things, cleaned up most of the rest, and made everything happy again. Happy is good.

July 11th, 2014: now that I've covered repairs on all two of the known MAX armor pilots, I should actually start my work rehabilitating the actual MAX suits, huh? So yeah, I did that today, drastically cleaning up the Mark 1 MAX armor. I added a radio (since it has one), as well as streamlining the suit's entire function roster.

July 10th, 2014: since I'm done with the DP 7 stuff, at least for the moment, and barring another change I'm pondering to my Jenny Swensen description(s), I figured I may as well start a new portion of the New Universe handbook that needs fixing. And since I've covered Jenny Swensen, it's gonna be Spitfire - starting with Jake Travest!

July 9th, 2014: having gotten the site functional again, no thanks to my old netbook, I've gone through the motions of cleaning up the index page for the DP 7 portion of the New Universe handbook. While it looked more or less okay, there were lots of old, janky html artifacts that needed ironing out, so that's precisely what I did today.

July 8th, 2014: so as it turned out, my old netbook was malfunctioning slightly yesterday, and somehow I managed to totally hash up all of the directory structure on the 13 via unintended drag and drops. Stuff went everywhere. So I spent all day today sorting that terrible mess out. Yeah, er, sorry about breaking the site or something.

July 7th, 2014: since I've completed her pre-Pitt version already, I went ahead and took today out to wrap up Jenny Swensen's post-Pitt variations. I slightly cleaned up her new, paranormal powers, but most of what I needed was already done yesterday. That's handy. So that's all the folks from DP 7 I think - at least, that I've already done.

July 6th, 2014: while it was my second variation on Jenny Swensen who was a member of DP 7 towards the end of that title's run, I had to start my revisions of her with her first descriptions, those from her own series and the Pitt special one-shot. So that is precisely what I have done. Lucky for me she didn't have any powers yet, I guess.

July 5th, 2014: though the primary cast of DP 7 is done, there's two other characters who from that series that I covered before actually working up the seven primary displaced paranormals. The first of these was Michael Crawley, a refugee from the Psi-Force comic who wound up here. Had to seriously rebuild his Saga variation.

July 4th, 2014: wrapping up the original seven stars of the DP 7 series, I have once again signed off on what I have written for Lenore Fenzl: Twilight. Nothing was wrong with her power, and her martial arts needed tweaking for the Saga version, so that just left a couple minor grammatical hiccups that I needed to resolve for her. Yay!

July 3rd, 2014: sneaking back into the misadventures of Professor Zog and his Marvel of the Age, Electro, I've covered another alien race he encountered this time around. They are the Lion-people, which are about what you'd expect, really. Advanced, lion-headed alien people for men of Science to marvel at in their travels. That kind of thing.

July 2nd, 2014: I guess I should keep at the DP 7 roster today, despite the mind-numbing migraine. Well, it's mostly passed, but the effects linger. Bleh. Anyhow, I cleaned up what I'd written for Scuzz today, in all three variations. Luckily, this only involved a minor change of one power to another, and but a few grammatical corrections.

July 1st, 2014: hey, it's July - which means 2014 is already halfway through! Ugh, that makes me feel so old. Old, I tell you! Anyhow, once again taking a look at the DP 7 portion of the New Universe's overhaul, I've cleaned up what I had for Mastodon today. And there was lots to clean up, since my grammar apparently sucks a whole lot.

June 30th, 2014: hopping back into the actual updates of New Universe characters, and not just bits and pieces of added features I neglected to keep up with, I've resumed my work on DP 7. Today's efforts have seen me drastically clean up the grammar on Glitter's character descriptions. I do wish people would point these things out to me.

June 29th, 2014: so as it turned out, I forgot that when I update the base files for some of my otherwise completed bits here and there, I should also do the same to the zip file archives of such. Whoops. So what I did was do just that for the bits of the New Universe I've further updated, so you know, you have the most up to date stuff.

June 28th, 2014: taking another look at the original, 1984 Decepticons, I've covered yet another notorious villain from this year. He took a bit, since I wanted to get him just right, but I now have provided you my rendition of the one and only Starscream! Rejoice, those legions of you who always enjoyed his vainglorious treachery!

June 27th, 2014: it would appear I stopped scanning in imagery for the cast of DP 7 about a third of the way done, as I have no imagery for Friction - or Blur, for that matter. But I've at least cleaned up the test for the former today, having committed a number of grammatical crimes against Charly Beck. I fixed a power or two, too.

June 26th, 2014: so I dug into what I had built for Blur so far, and have performed a couple minor revisions to his text. These were primarily grammatical in nature, having already spent way too much time figuring out how his powers work in three different game systems, though his Saga variation needed minor tweaking where his skills are concerned.

June 25th, 2014: wanting to clean up some errors I made during my attempts to fix New Universe characters (sorry), I have started on my fifth big portion of this work that needs an overhaul: the DP 7! Being recent additions to the 13, they need less work, and already have Edition 13 variations. But anyway: I fixed up Antibody!

June 24th, 2014: playing catch-up just a bit, I'm making a few modifications to some folks I already fixed - bah, I say! Primarily, I changed Justice's Telepathy to Sensory Projection, since that's what he's got, I added a wheelchair and the inability to walk to Professor Jordan, and fixed some of Teddy Remsen's Saga chair details.

June 23rd, 2014: having hit a good breaking point, I thought I'd write up another bizarre oddity from Professor Zog's many, many offbeat adventures. This latest is a first for my Timely Heroes reference: I covered an alien race! That's right, the weird Dragon-men (whether male or female, apparently) are now ready for your gaming use.

June 22nd, 2014: moving on to the next portion of the New Universe Handbook that needed cleaning up, I thought I'd hit an easy one. So, I've sorted out what I had for John Tensen: Justice so far. Sure, he's the only person in his part of the New U deal I've covered so far, but like I said, easy. So that's four series done now. Yay!

June 21st, 2014: since the overhaul of every character resident in the Mark Hazzard: Merc part of my New Universe thing is now done, I figured I should reconstitute the zip file archive of the thing. Which reminded me to get rid of a few ellipses in the issue guides as well, because apparently I was in love with those ten years ago.

June 20th, 2014: taking a gander at my description of the rogue Catholic priest, Father Kevin Eugene Johnson, I've done everything necessary to rehabilitate what I'd written for this one-off foil for Mark Hazzard in his portion of the New Universe Handbook. So I guess that covers all ten of the people I'd written up in this area. Yay!

June 19th, 2014: beginning the wrap-up phase of my efforts to rehabilitate the Mark Hazzard portion of my New Universe reference, I've taken care of what needed doing on the first of two villains from this portion of the 13: Henri 'Frenchie' Graymalkin. Though truth be told, there were few problems with this character's description. For once.

June 18th, 2014: having built a description of Soundwave a bit back for the Transformers... thing... I'm whipping up, I simply had to follow up with a proper rendition of Buzzsaw. A work of art, if you will, to match the most gleefully homicidal Decepticon you're likely to ever meet. Not that you got to see that in the cartoon, much.

June 17th, 2014: that's right, I've got another mercenary upgrade for you in my New Universe reference, namely the one and only Mal Rossi. Most of my efforts where he was concerned involved grammatical repair work, though I saw fit to bump his Edge up by one where his Saga description was concerned. Hey, he was in almost every issue!

June 16th, 2014: well past the halfway point in my work on the Merc portion of the New Universe reference, I've taken on Lincoln Griffin's right hand man, Sgt. Major Peel. I found a few critical errors in his descriptions that needed fixing, and sadly nobody told me about them. Ever. And you wonder why I keep re-checking my old stuff.

June 15th, 2014: though I was actually jonesing to build another new character today, I figured I should continue to spend my time plugging away at the roster of Merc characters that need rehabilitation. That's why today, I have cleaned up the extant work I had done for the Priestess, along with giving her a wonderful Edition 13 variation.

June 14th, 2014: finishing today's update a bit earlier than five minutes before midnight, I've dealt with another upgrade to the Merc portion of the New Universe thing, making me about halfway done with this area now. This latest fix saw me cleaning up Sgt. Major Peel's entry, and there were lots of odd little problems that needed fixing.

June 13th, 2014: taking a break from the grind of rehabilitating quirky mercenaries for the New Universe thing, I've produced a character description of Boss Sarpo, Professor Zog's first real enemy. This guy is a Golden Age rarity, in that he was the villain in not one, but two different comics, so I thought him worthy of coverage.

June 12th, 2014: getting it done just in time to count as an update for today, I sorted out another Merc entry for the New Universe reference. This time, I've overhauled Lincoln 'Stryker' Griffin's description, getting rid of a few ellipses, tightening up his text a tad, and of course adding his Edition 13 variation. Hope you like?

June 11th, 2014: on my third round of overhauls for the Mark Hazzard: Merc (seriously, not Merck) portion of the New Universe reference, I've cleaned up my renditions of the Doc. Sure, she only appeared in one issue of Merc, but still, it pays to be thorough. I only wish there were more villains from this series to cover. Most were 'meh'.

June 10th, 2014: continuing my freshly begun effort to clean up the Mark Hazzard: Merc (which I keep wanting to type as 'Merch') portion of my New Universe reference, I have overhauled my descriptions of Louis 'Treetop' Barrington. He needed a bit of tweaking just about everywhere, and had way too many ellipses for his own good. Goodness.

June 9th, 2014: what do you know, it's a new Technoholic month! As such, I am starting on yet another portion of the New Universe reference that requires some serious love, and that's Mark Hazzard: Merc. To begin my work in this part of the 13, I naturally sorted out what I had for the star of this series, the one and only Mark Hazzard!

June 8th, 2014: so having upgraded all nine of the characters I covered for the Nightmask portion of the New Universe Handbook, I suppose I should iron out the kinks. I gave Lucian the same weakness Tullius has to that mystery perfume, culled some powers in Tullius' roster that I don't recall him using, and rebuilt the text file archive. JAY

June 7th, 2014: sort of like I did with Tullius, I think I put way too much detail in the spell roster for Mambo Matilda, Nightmask's erstwhile Voodoo ally while he was in Haiti. I think I fixed most of the usual verbal tics I tended to use back in the day on all her entries, and fleshed out a few bits here and there that I thought could use it.

June 6th, 2014: after an exhaustive amount of research that I'm still not quite sure was sufficient, I began work on my coverage of the 1984 Decepticons by describing, in as much detail as I could muster, the villainous Soundwave. Since half of the Transformers from that year were mini-cassette tapes, and thus his minions, it seemed a good start.

June 5th, 2014: I think I over-wrote Tullius Ballad. I was so intent on explaining how his inexplicable abilities work that I seem to have produced a book for each actual spell. But I have nonetheless worked out all the bugs in his descriptions, including a lot of ellipses and sentences that begin with the word 'Now', and he's all spiffy again.

June 4th, 2014: so still hammering away at the various weirdos that Nightmask ran afoul of as a part of my effort to rehabilitate my New Universe reference, I've cleaned up what I have for Mistress Midnight, er, tonight. She's weird, since her power is literally unique, but I think I ironed out all the kinks in all three versions of her. Hur hur.

June 3rd, 2014: once again dipping my toes into the warm, steamy pool of Nightmask villains, I have rehabilitated my entry for (if not the actual) Madman. This fellow used his dreaming powers, very similar to those of Nightmask himself, to murder any number of innocent people. At least, until Nightmask and Justice stopped his murder spree.

June 2nd, 2014: slipping back into the dreamy world of Nightmask, I cleaned up that hero's original nemesis: Doctor Horst Kleinmann! Also known as the Gnome when projecting into his victim's dreams, the evil Doctor ultimately intended to use his revolutionary Dream Machine for advertising purposes. And he looked down on others. Hah!

June 1st, 2014: goodness, this year is almost halfway though already. I guess I must have been super busy here, or else I'd have noticed the time passing a little easier. Or maybe I'm just getting old. Either way, I've got the modern version of the Laughing Mask available for your gaming use. Since, you know, he now has an Electro!

May 31st, 2014: zomg, who killed the month of May? Was it the Laughing Mask? This vigilante killed just about everyone and everything else he ever faced off against, after all, so what's one more slaying? In other words, what I'm saying is that I've completed his Golden Age description, so check him out in the Timely Heroes thing today!

May 30th, 2014: completing the primary cast of the New Universe's Nightmask series, I've gone and overhauled the descriptions I had for Doctor Lucian Ballad, the mastermind behind the Ballad Dream Institute. I made his Edition 13 variation, correctly summed up his Health (whoops), killed a dozen ellipses, and fixed a few other, lesser bits.

May 29th, 2014: in part three of the Nightmask overhaul, the second stage of the overall New Universe rehabilitation, I have fittingly decided to clean up the descriptions of Estrellita Mercado, who was hired to conduct the physical rehabilitation of Nightmask and his wee sister after they were blowed up by the nemesis they didn't know they had.

May 28th, 2014: continuing on in my hare-brained effort to rehabilitate my oldey timey work on the Nightmask portion of the New Universe handbook, I've overhauled what I had for Teddy Remsen, Nightmask's sister. Apparently I have a serious ellipse problem, but I've cleared them out for the most part. And fixed some other stuff.

May 27th, 2014: I'd intended to cover the Laughing Mask today, but time was a bit short. Thus, I went ahead and started my rehabilitation of the Nightmask portion of the New Universe by cleaning up what I had for, well, Nightmask. I have removed all the horrible ellipses, straightened out some sentence structure, and normalized his powers.

May 26th, 2014: what with my look at the original, 1984 Autobots complete at last, even if I never intended to actually cover them comprehensively (if much at all), I have added a small bit of text to their index page for flavor, built some text file archives of my work here, and did a thing or two behind the scenes to set up for more. Onward!

May 25th, 2014: though it took some time, I've finally completed my description of the original, Generation 1 Optimus Prime: Leader of the Autobots! His 4C System: Edition 13 and Saga System 13 variations were finalized today, and I went back to add growth to both his combat deck and Roller in all three versions. Because whoops.

May 24th, 2014: since the Kickers, Inc. portion of the New Universe handbook has been sorted out - you know, all nine characters - I rebuilt the text file archive storing all the alleged goodies I've made based on this series. So I guess I can now move on to the next portion of the handbook that needs cleaning up. I guess. *shuffles feet, kicks dirt*

May 23rd, 2014: so I'm slowly gluing together my comprehensive description of the original, Generation 1 Optimus Prime. I think I've got everything necessary to cover his two 'additional' components, his Combat Deck and Roller, but we'll make sure later. I have all three versions of these done, leaving the rest of Optimus for... Sunday?

May 22nd, 2014: started on Optimus Prime for my big finish to the '84 Autobots, what with him being the last part of that year of heroes I haven't covered yet. Got his Classic cab version done, but the rest eluded me, since there was... copious amounts of research, hand-wringing and compromise required to get him where I liked. Stay tuned fo' mo'.

May 21st, 2014: with its Golden Age existence summed up already, it is now time for Firebomb to modernize one of the oldest robots in comics: Electro: Marvel of the Age! He only had a few upgrades to account for, now that the Laughing Mask is piloting this juggernaut of offensive might against America's enemies, but now you have them!

May 20th, 2014: while I suppose you might not have been expecting me to cover a robot today, I have. But while you might think it is a Transformer I am looking at, I'm not! No, what I have wrought this time around is a description of Electro: Marvel of the Age - at least, as it existed back in the late 1930s and early 1940s. Check it.

May 19, 2014: today I knuckled down and cleaned up what I had for the last nuisance villain that went up against the Kickers, Inc.: Professor Jordan - the Master of Ceremonies! I suppose I could write up the weirdo that he had making portals to Hell for him too, but I just don't have anything to go on to do so. Hey - nine page story.

May 18th, 2014: hopping back into my Tranformers reference, I've covered yet another of the 1984 Autobots. This time, I've described Wheeljack, the Autobots' mad scientist - I mean, chief engineer. What can I say, after Professor Zog, I was in the mood. But say, that's seventeen Autobots from '84 now. Who does that leave? Hmm...

May 17th, 2014: while putting together his Golden Age version was quite taxing, producing the modern Professor Zog was rather easy, since he died right at the beginning of the Twelve series. Not that you knew that until halfway through, of course, but there you go. So yeah, with the Professor done, guess what else I'll cover soon?

May 16th, 2014: it may've taken me all night, what with the required research being extensive, but I have completed my Golden Age description of yet another Timely Hero and member of the Twelve, though it's likely not anyone you expect. That's because I have just described Professor Zog, the member of that group who died in its first few pages!

May 15th, 2014: though I avoided it two days ago, I suppose I can't really get around it this time, so I guess I'll clean up another New Universe entry today. Since there's only two more Kickers, Inc. antagonists remaining that need an overhaul, I hit the one with the least baggage, him being Agent Scott Templar, of the CIA. Yay?

May 14th, 2014: sneaking back into my Transformers reference, I have concocted yet another Autobot from the 1984 release period. Today's latest addition to the mix is Ratchet, the Autobots' chief medical officer, general party animal, and resident smart-mouth punk. But his fellows love him, for he has kept them alive for a very, very long time!

May 13th, 2014: oddly enough, I didn't update something in the New Universe today. No, instead I spent my Technoholic time reconfiguring the Timely Heroes project somewhat, separating the various Nazis out of the 'Villains' directory, and placing them in their own index. Because really, they were all on the same 'team'. More or less.

May 12th, 2014: sidling back over to the Timely Heroes thing, I thought I'd wrap up something of a loose end. While I'd covered Monako, Prince of Magic, I didn't really work out anything for his (apparent) nemesis, Muro, who appeared twice - something of a Golden Age rarity! So yeah, I wrote him up today, in all his inexplicable glory.

May 11th, 2014: I cleaned up Fist the last time I messed with Kickers, Inc. stuff, giving him an Edition 13 variation and tinkering with his extant versions until they met the site's current standard. Thus, I went ahead and did the same for his freaky weird robot tank thing he used in his sole appearance, the Manned Mobile Unit.

May 10th, 2014: moving back over to the Variant Earth 13 portion of the site, I have completed my last addition to such for a while. This new entry is a generic, boilerplate Anthropist description that players of any supported game can use to build members of this group for their own purposes, for good or ill. But presumably most are good uses!

May 9th, 2014: aha! To begin our second month of this seventeenth Technoholic year, I have revised and upgraded (slightly) my extant entry for Fist, one of the few Kickers, Inc. villains of note. And by calling him a villain of note, I'm giving Fist a whole lot of credit. But he had a giant, Robbie the Robot looking tank thing, so there's that.

May 8th, 2014: I guess this first Technoholic month of the seventeenth Technoholic year is done. And how did I wrap this auspicious time period up, you ask? Well, I've added Jazz, yet another 1984 Autobot, to the mix. Optimus Prime's right-hand man, Jazz is something of a cheerleader for his fellow 'bots, and has a terrible love of earth music!

May 7th, 2014: so I cleaned up what I had for Thomas 'Suicide' Smythe today, which wraps up the roster of the actual Kickers, Inc. team. I have I think four oddities to clean up yet in their portion of the New Universe handbook, but at least this team is all shiny again. And all have their 4C System: Edition 13 variations live as well. Woo?

May 6th, 2014: right before I checked out for the night, I added another character to the Timely Heroes reference. You probably won't like that he's another normal human, but eh - i still have Monako fatigue. So have a Barnabus 'Barney' Mullen, a ship captain who inexplicably had his most harrowing tale told in Daring Mystery Comics issue 1!

May 5th, 2014: today I've rehabilitated my description of the star of the late, unlamented comic book known as Kickers, Inc. He is Jack Magniconte, also known as Mr. Magnificent, who went on to be called the All-American in other comics that adopted him after his own was no longer published. But hey, he's got an Edition 13 variation now!

May 4th, 2014: so though I'm still mentally tired after sorting out Monako, I nonetheless built another member of the Anthropy Society with a name inspired by a typo I made whilst writing that Golden Age hero up. He is the Enigmagic Man, a fiercely independent Afghanistani sorcerer who doesn't like anyone telling anyone what to believe.

May 3rd, 2014: well, Prowl didn't wear me out nearly as much as Monako did, but I thought I'd go ahead and do another Kicker overhaul today anyway, 'cause I'm trying not to burn out on new folks. So Darlene Magniconte, called 'Doll' to people who like to get punched in the face by her for it, has been cleaned up today. I have an ellipse problem.

May 2nd, 2014: I've concocted another Autobot today. This is the third Prowl I've applied to the 13, all of which are Transformers of course, but the first two were resident in the Robots in Disguise continuity. This one, however, is the original, Generation 1 namesake of those other guys. He had it before it was cool. Was it ever cool? Prowl thinks so.

May 1st, 2014: kinda burned out after building Monako's massive description. Sorry. So I'm taking it 'easy' today and performing another overhaul in the Kickers, Inc. portion of the New Universe handbook. This latest rehabilitation has seen me make a few slight changes to the Dallas 'Dasher' Corbin description. His was mostly fine.

April 30th, 2014: I know some of you may be tired of the completely human (or barely fantastic) people I've covered of late for the Timely Heroes thing, so today I went completely in the other direction. After lots of research and painstaking soul searching, I have completed my description of the one and only Monako, Prince of Magic!

April 29th, 2014: so I settled on the New Universe overhaul as my first 'major' thing for the year, though I can stop working on it to do anything else anytime, really. But I figured I had to start somewhere, right? So here I am in the Kickers, Inc. directory once more, even though I said I was done forever, fixin' Brick Wall's entry. Sigh.

April 28th, 2014: I know I said I was done with the Anthropy Society's example characters for now, but as I built them out they sort of transformed into this seething pile of slightly conflicting philosophies, in contrast to all the other idealists I'd made thus far. And so, the architect of a second such philosophy: the Tredecuplethink!

April 27th, 2014: since I'd gone and rewired how I wanted the so-called 'kiss of the vampire' limitation for vampires to work, in addition to renaming it to something that doesn't reward those cannibalistic undead with anything sounding vaguely romantic, I have propagated that change through all my many and various vampire character descriptions.

April 26th, 2014: cycling back to the Transformers project once more, I've gone and added another Sideswipe to the 13 today. While there are in fact two others on the site currently, this fellow is the original Sideswipe, him being the wonderfully red Lamborghini from the Generation 1 line of toys and comics and cartoons and and and.

April 25th, 2014: so I worked up the Golden Age version of the Blue Blade yesterday, which means that today was destined to be dedicated to the creation of his modern day variation. And who fights destiny, really? Have you not heard hundreds of stories where people try to do that, only to be hoist by their own petard? Heh, I said petard.

April 24th, 2014: again plumbing the depths of USA Comics number 5, I have another normal human adventurer for your use in the Timely era of Heroes. But this one is no mere one-shot nobody, no, for he is the Blue Blade, that member of the Twelve who, well, okay, he was a one-shot nobody. But he was brought back - that means something, right?

April 23rd, 2014: since I've sorted out my last sample Anthropist, at least for now I think, I went ahead and wrote a blurb about the group on its main index page. Which wasn't as easy as it sounds, considering that this group has about as many different angles as it does members. But when dealing with humanists, what do you expect?

April 22nd, 2014: though the immediate pressure to build new character descriptions is over, at least inside my own head, I have gone and produced a fifth example member of the Anthropy Society for your consumption today. This completely human, if not completely normal, guy is the Impeccable Icarus, high-flying daredevil to the stars!

April 21st, 2014: completing my effort to 'refresh' the Master Roster's Dirty (Baker's) Dozen for this new Technoholic year, I've completed my thirteenth new character since the beginning of Year 17. This was of course Bumblebee, the infamously friendly Volkswagen Beetle who turned into a kid-friendly robot in the first Transformers cartoon!

April 20th, 2014: I've gone back to the Timely Heroes reference today, and I have yet another human for your gaming use. Though he's no ordinary human, for we're talking about Dale Strum, FBI agent extraordinare! When the other feds are busy twiddling their thumbs, and no one else can bring in your latest scofflaw, Dale's the man to talk to!

April 19th, 2014: travelling back to Variant Earth 13 once more, I've added another vaguely (okay, completely) twisted individual to the roster of Anthropists. He is the Synthetic Sapien, a man obsessed with becoming a robot, so much so that he's slowly replaced just about all of his original self with artificial bits of his own design.

April 18th, 2014: what do you know, I've added another Mirage to the 13. This one, of course, is the original, Generation 1 Autobot going by that name. I was torn between covering this fellow and Wheeljack today, but went with Mirage because he seemed more mysterious. Not that I have a problem with mad scientists in the slightest, mind you.

April 17th, 2014: since my two most recent additions to the Timely Heroes thing were of dubious adventuring ability, I've gone and wrote up something just a little bit more serious today. He is the Phantom Bullet, one of Timely's original and most obscure heroes, who got himself killed in the very beginning of the recent Marvels Project limited series.

April 16th, 2014: continuing my effort to 'freshen' up the index page of the master roster with thirteen (count 'em) new characters to inaugurate the new Technoholic year (in case you weren't sure what I was up to), I've added another example vampire to the Variant Earth 13, uh, vampire roster. He is Barnaby Eveningstar, a man hoist by his own petard.

April 15th, 2014: uh oh, it's Tax Day here in the States - hope you've squared things away with Uncle Sam if you live here! Anyway, my rambling aside, I've concocted yet another new character description for your gaming pleasure today. He is Cliffjumper, another of the original, 1984 Autobots, and something of a troublemaking rabblerouser!

April 14th, 2014: once more delving into the Timely Heroes reference, I've got another all new character description for you! The flip side of my last addition, Mister Million, today sees us taking a peek at the Fighting Hobo, fresh from his singular appearance in the one and only USA Comics issue 5. Once again, not trolling you guys here.

April 13th, 2014: moving back into my Variant Earth 13 project for a time, if only because I can, I have written up a third member of the Anthropy Society - and, by extension, a fourth sample vampire. This one is the Eidolon Empress, one of those 'has lived a really really long time and wants to take over the world' kind of undead. From Mongolia!

April 12th, 2014: so yeah, the new stuff keeps coming - what can I say, I'm on a roll! This time around, I worked up another Transformer from scratch, this one the larger toy known as Bluestreak. And after having finished him, I'm starting to see why the Autobots had so much trouble keeping the Decepticons in check back in the day. Goodness.

April 11th, 2014: sort of going with the theme of the last two days, because why not, I've added an all new character description to the Timely Heroes reference. Derived from his sole appearance, in Daring Mystery Comics number 7, I give you Mister Million, the direct action philanthropist. No, really. I'm totally not trolling you. Honest!

April 10th, 2014: I indulged in the creation of an all new G1 Transformers character description yesterday because I could, and since that part of the 13 is finally (more) public. Today, I scratched that itch with my Variant Earth 13 reference, by putting to pen (or pixel) the founder of the Anthropy Society, the one and only Alabaster Jackson-Jones!

April 9th, 2014: I am getting old, I think. I find myself dwelling on that because the life cycle of this site is currently creeping close to half of my own existence here on earth. And yet, I haven't quite finished up everything I wanted to do with it, long after the actual game it was originally devoted to died an ugly, rather premature death.

But then that was the case when this joint was first founded, I suppose, so there's that.

At any rate, welcome to Technohol 13: Year 17! In addition to grumbling about my decrepitude, and yelling at kids to get off my proverbial lawn, I've actually got some updates to report on this, the site's anniversary. To start with, I replaced the snarky placeholder text on my main Transformers index with actual, ground-level material.

I did this so I can more readily branch out into further Transformers areas at my leisure.

As you can see by checking out the Transformers link in the navigation (either on top or bottom) of each page here, I've shifted the focus from the Robots in Disguise index to the Transformers mythos in general, and I've got a few Generation 1 Autobots up there so far. And hey, I even added a new one today, in the form of the one and only Windcharger.

That's right, I added another new character to the 13 today. Am I not lovely?
