Technoholic Formula Changes - Year 24!

April 8th, 2022: I'm wrapping up my 'official' work for this Technoholic year by, at long last, updating my last outstanding Cobra material what needed it. This was the Cobra Recruits and Recruit Officers, what first showed up in 1998, and apparently had figures in 2004 if their file cards are to be believed. I went ahead and added those details today.

April 7th, 2022: wrapping up my last bit of effort on the Manimals, I've cleaned up my extant descriptions of ZigZag. This involved a ton of Streamlining, and not a little bit of Modernization, which again tells me that my old work on this guy was oooooold. Anyhow, with him all up to date, I built his 4C System: Edition 13 variation. Ta daaa!

April 6th, 2022: ooh, lookie here! We're on the second to last update I'll ever have to make for the Manimals - save for perhaps moving their directory structure around a bit. Anyway, this update saw me overhauling what I'd written for Warwolf, Modernizing and Streamlining his extant text, and then building out his 4C System: Edition 13 version. Woo?

April 5th, 2022: on day four of my binge of Manimals rework, I cleaned up my descriptions of Vortex. The opposite of yesterday, Vortex required very little Streamlining, but it took forever to Modernize his entries - which says his were ooooooold. Anyway, I spruced up what I had for him already, and whipped up his 4C System: Edition 13 variations!

April 4th, 2022: hitting the halfway point on my overhaul of the Manimals, I have sorted out my coverage of Spasma. His existing entries required a significant amount of Streamlining, while only a little bit of Modernizing. But with that done, I threw together his 4C System: Edition 13 variation in a jiffy, and now he's finally up to date. Yay!

April 3rd, 2022: for my second Manimal that desperately required an overhaul, I have cleaned up the old, old, old text I had written for Slythor. I have Streamlined and Modernized his original and Saga variation, adding a 4C System: Edition 13 variation to boot. Man, I am not going to miss having to build out all these Edition 13 versions of folks still.

April 2nd, 2022: moving along in my effort to fix the last bits of the 13 what need revising, I've started work on the Manimals roster. The first of these I touched up was Iguanus, who was Modernized, Streamlined, and given a 4C System: Edition 13 variation. Also: sorry I broke the entire site trying to give the Manimals their very own logo. Whoops!

April 1st, 2022: I did a quick check to verify that I'd covered the 2009 GI Joe releases before the toy line switched over to the movie action figures, and once I was done, I built a text file archive for the GI Joe personnel and equipment roster covering the years 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009, which means all my extant GI Joe descriptions are now modernized!

March 31st, 2022: so I wrapped up the 2006 GI Joe personnel and equipment roster on the 4th, and the 2007 GI Joe personnel and equipment roster on the 5th, so now I'm doing the same for the 2008 GI Joe personnel and equipment roster today! This involved me Modernizing and Streamlining my extant work on Matt Trakker, and then building his Edition 13 variation!

March 30th, 2022: with the 2006 GI Joe personnel and equipment roster done, it's time to do the same with the 2007 roster of the same. To this end, I've Streamlined and Modernized Carla Greer, the second Doc, and added details of her almost-identical 2016 action figure to boot. Luckily, her 4C System: Edition 13 variation was already done, so that wasn't needed!

March 29th, 2022: wrapping up my block of 2006 Steel Brigade members, I have overhauled my existing descriptions of Rook. This guy needed a Modernizing and a Streamlining, not to mention a 4C System: Edition 13 variation as well. All of this is done now, leaving just two more extant GI Joe entries what need fixing. We're so very, very close to the end now.

March 28th, 2022: continuing my block of Steel Brigade characters what need revising, I've cleaned up my extant descriptions of Red Zone for my 2006 GI Joe personnel roster. His text is now Modernized and Streamlined, and he has a 4C System: Edition 13 variation to boot. And, after tomorrow, I'll only have one more of these folks to cover remaining. Yay!

March 27th, 2022: starting the big block of Steel Brigade character descriptions for the 2006 GI Joe personnel roster, I've cleaned up my descriptions of Checkpoint. I Streamlined and Modernized him, the latter of which took more than a little doing, and then I produced his 4C System: Edition 13 variation at long last. Ugh, the Steel Brigade.

March 26th, 2022: skipping new vehicles until the next Technoholic year, I'm now working as fast as I can to finish work on my extant GI Joe entries. To this end, I've cleaned up my descriptions of Med Alert today, Modernizing and Streamlining his text (which took more effort than it should have) and giving him an Edition 13 variation.

March 25th, 2022: hey, I'm starting my work to clean up my 2006 GI Joe personnel and equipment roster today! The first Joe to get an overhaul is GI Jane, a member of the ORIGINAL GI Joe team, from back in the 60s. I've given her a 4C System: Edition 13 variation, after Modernizing and Streamlining her entries, and adding her new, '17 details!

February 24th, 2022: since all of the 2005 GI Joe personnel and equipment are complete, you know what time it is. That's right, I've rebuilt the text file archive for this group of Joes and their gear, making the file positively tiny compared to the original, which had a version of every single figure appearing in '05 previously. What was I thinking?!

February 23rd, 2022: so today, at long last, I wrapped up my writing chores on the 2005 GI Joe personnel and equipment roster! This is because I choked down my bile and wrote a description of the Steel Brigade Commander, who is simultaneously an individual and a position. I think? Whatever. Anyway, this character/faceless masses entry is now done.

February 22nd, 2022: for my penultimate update to the 2005 GI Joe personnel and roster, I've produced an all-new character description! I almost missed this guy, what with me ignoring the godawful GI Joe convention-exclusive toys until very recently, but today I've added the Steel Brigade Paratroopers to the mix, complete and ready to use in your game!

February 21st, 2022: as it turns out, the RHINO was the last extant GI Joe vehicle description that needed refining. However, a few older ones have had more recent repaints, so I took time out today to update the VAMP with a 2014 addition, the JUMP with 2016 GI Joe and Cobra additions, and the Skystriker with a 2016 addition as well. So that's that!

February 20th, 2021: completing my work revising the 2005 GI Joe personnel and equipment roster that I've already written for previously, I've cleaned up my descriptions of Cannonball. I Streamlined and Modernized this fellow, which didn't take too much as he's a vehicle driver, and then produced his 4C System: Edition 13 variation to boot.

February 19th, 2021: as my penultimate work to revise my extant 2005 GI Joe personnel and equipment roster, I am wrapping up the vehicles from that year by cleaning up my text for the the Rapid Heli-Integrated Neutralizing Offensive Vehicle, or RHINO. This just took a bit of Modernizing, Streamlining, and building an Edition 13 variation for it.

February 18th, 2022: coming ever-closer to completing work on my extant 2005 GI Joe personnel and equipment roster, I've overhauled my writing for the second Long Range. I Modernized and Streamlined his entries, which didn't need too much work, and then produced his 4C System: Edition 13 variation. Hey, I covered his ride yesterday, so why not?

February 17th, 2022: starting another big block on the GI Joe front, I've resumed work on the 2005 personnel and equipment roster. First up in this round is the Rolling Operations Command Center, or ROCC. I heavily Modernized and Streamlined this clunker, and then added its 4C System: Edition 13 variation. Because what can I say? I'm great! /rick

February 16th, 2022: to wrap up my work on all four variations on my Powers document, I rewrote Weakness / Hindrance Generation. It likely leaves a bit too much up to the player with the power, but the original variation on this theme was staggeringly vague, so at least I put some guidance into the text. It's not perfect, but is a lot better than before.

February 15th, 2022: for my penultimate day of work on round eighteen of my proofreading on all four variations on the Powers document, I've intently reread the extant text for Xenoglossy, Yclept, and Zest. This wraps up my work on the powers what begin with the letters X, Y, and Z, leaving me one more task before I can consider the work of the ages complete.

February 14th, 2022: today, my proofreading exploits have seen me poring over the existing text for the Wings, Witchery, Wondrous Warehouse, and Wrest abilities. This wraps up my time working on powers what start with the letter W, aside from the rewriting I mentioned yesterday, the results of which you should see on the sixteenth. Huzzah!

February 13th, 2022: day three of my eighteenth round proofreading all four variations on the Powers document saw me working the text for the Warrior's Art, Weakness Generation, Weather Control, and Whatever abilities. Admittedly, though, Weakness Generation's work was a patch job, while I prepare to rewrite it from scratch in what, three days?

February 12th, 2022: blazing my way through round eighteen of my eighteen round proofreading of all four variations on the Powers document, I perused the extant text for the Vivification, Vocal Control, Vodun, and Warding abilities. And that wraps up all the powers what start with the letter W. Good thing this batch was in pretty good shape!

February 11th, 2022: switching back to proofreading for the beginning of my final, eighteenth round of such through all four variations on the Powers document, I have pondered my extant text for the Variable Sorcer, Variable Talent / Skill, Vibration Control, and Vibration Generation abilities. And what do you know, this batch of powers were perfect!

February 10th, 2021: I'm wrapping up this round of work in my GI Joe reference by finally finishing my efforts on the 2004 GI Joe personnel and equipment roster for the year 2004. This file is a fraction of the original size, but is now much more accurate for what actually premiered in 2004 - with a directory of where to find where everything else came from.

February 9th, 2022: wrapping up my work on actual characters and devices for this round of work in my GI Joe reference, I have sorted out my descriptions of Tiger Claw. This latter-day acolyte of Snake-Eyes barely appeared in any media, and only had one action figure ever, but I've Streamlined and Modernized him, and gave him his Edition 13 variation!

January 8th, 2022: plugging away at the 2005 GI Joe personnel and equipment roster, I've taken the time to polish up my work on the Freedom Defense Outpost. This is the last BTR item Hasbro released, I believe, and hardly anyone got their hands on one. Either way, I Modernized and Streamlined my extant variations on this, and then added an Edition 13 one!

January 7th, 2022: I should have built a text file archive today, but I am procrastinating. As such, I have Streamlined and Modernized my depictions of Major Barrage, one of the many new GI Joes from 2005 that had no traction. But he's all cleaned up, at least, and I even built a 4C System: Edition 13 variation on the man, as well. Enjoy or something?

January 6th, 2022: I am officially ending my work on the 2004 GI Joe roster, text file archive notwithstanding, by cleaning up my descriptions of the Tigerhawk. It already had an Edition 13 variation, so it just needed Modernizing and Streamlining. And now, this weird GI Joe crotch rocket is once more ready for use in your heroic role-playing games!

January 5th, 2022: since I'm all out of 2004 GI Joe personnel to fix up, it's time I move along to 2005, isn't it? And that's why I've just Modernized and Streamlined my description of Bombstrike. On top of adding 4C System: Edition 13 variation and her 2015 action figure to the mix, I changed how I portrayed this character. She's earned it.

January 4th, 2022: pressing forward in an attempt to wrap up the 2004 GI Joe equipment roster once and for all, I've heavily modified my descriptions of the Thunderwing Jet. Already had a 4C System: Edition 13 variation, so this just meant Modernization and Streamlining, of course, but there was a whole lot of that on this F-22 expy.

January 3rd, 2022: wrapping up the last person who needs revising on the 2004 GI Joe personnel roster, I have drastically overhauled my descriptions of Action Man. This crossover figure has been Modernized and Streamlined, given a 4C System: Edition 13 variation, and rewritten such that he is only one of the Action Men, not two I tried to mash together.

January 2nd, 2022: wow. 2022. Still processing that. Anyway, I'm switching back to the GI Joe portion of my Technoholic upgrades, working on the 2004 GI Joe equipment roster. This first such work involved my overhaul of the Quickstrike, which needed a bunch of Modernizing and just a bit of Streamlining, but it's all squeaky clean now!

January 1st, 2022: Happy New Year! To celebrate this new calendar year, I'm closing out my work on round seventeen of my Powers document(s) work, checking on the text I wrote for the Vapors, Variable Cybernetics, Variable Power, and Variable Psionics abilities. And, like almost everything I've done in this round of proofing, everything was almost perfect!

December 31st, 2021: I'm wrapping up my work on this calendar year by finishing my revisions on all four variations of the powers what end in the letter U. This is because I refined my texts for the Upgrade, Upholder, Vampirism, and Vapor Animation abilities. Grammatically, each of these needed a tiny bit of polishing, but functionally they were perfect!

December 30th, 2021: for the sixth block of Powers document(s) proofreading in round seventeen of that grand work, I've revised some of the text in the Universal Static, Universal Windows, Unusual Sensitivity, and Unyielding Will power descriptions. By some, of course, I just mean a word here or there, save for on the Saga System 13 version of the last of these.

December 29th, 2021: finally done with every power that starts with A through T, I have proofread the text for al four variations on the Ultimate Talent / Skill, Ultravision, Universal Digestion, and Universal Respiration abilities today. I almost escaped making any changes to these, which is great, save for the tiniest of improvements on the last two.

December 28th, 2021: wrapping up the first half of Powers document(s) proofreading, round seventeen, I've gone over my verbiage for the Transparent Vision, Turnabout, Twinning, and Ultimate Power abilities. Only a few grammar quibbles on two of these, and I've also finally, at long last, finished all the powers that start with the leter T. Yay!

December 27th, 2021: plugging away in an effort to wrap up the Powers document(s) proofreading by the end of this Technoholic year, I've reread my extant text for the Transient Psionics, Transient Universe, Translation, and Transmutation abilities. My luck on round seventeen is holding thus far, for I only had to tweak incredibly minor grammatical errors.

December 26th, 2021: Happy Post-mas! This portion of my seventeenth round of proofreading on all four Powers documents has seen me cleaning up the verbiage for the Transfixture, Transformation / Others, Transformation / Self, and Transient Magic abilities. As was the case yesterday, these powers were fine as-is, I just tweaked the grammar on two slightly.

December 25th, 2021: Merry XXX-Mas! I've started my seventeenth round of proofreading in the various Powers documents, the last full one I have to do, I believe! Starting this penultimate round, I've read through Trace Duplication, Tramplede, Transception, and Transduction, and aside from entirely minimal grammatical quibbles, these powers were rock-solid. Yay!

November 24th, 2021: completing another block of work on the 2004 GI Joe roster, I've overhauled my descriptions of Doctor Link Talbot. A veterinarian and Navy SEAL, he is an ideal foil to Cobra's Venomized soldiers. Helping him out there, I've Modernized, Streamlined, and Condensed his descriptions, then gave him an Edition 13 variation!

November 23rd, 2021: I'm still chipping away at the massive amount of vehicles present in the 2004 GI Joe equipment roster. My latest effort has seen me Modernize and Streamline the extant text for that year's Piranha Attack Boat, a motorized river vessel one could use to run down Cobra ships in whatever body of water they have handy to stage toy conflicts.

November 22nd, 2021: whittling down the remaining roster of 2004 GI Joe personnel, I've cleaned up my descriptions of Rollbar today. This guy required a Modernizing, a Streamlining, and a Condensation to bring his Universal Heroes and Saga System 13 variations up to snuff. And then, of course, the fellow needed a 4C System: Edition 13 variation.

November 21st, 2021: slowly working my way through the massive arsenal of 2004 GI Joe vehicles, I've revised my descriptions of the Neutralizer today. This has seen me Modernize and Streamline my text for both the Universal Heroes and Saga System 13 variations on the thing, and finally the creation of a 4C System: Edition 13 version as well.

November 20th, 2021: finally forcing my way through the wall of awful Devil's Due additions to the GI Joe mythos, I've revised my descriptions of General Rey. He already had a 4C System: Edition 13 variation, and has never had an action figure to speak of, so all his lengthy character profiles needed was a good Modernizing and Streamlining. Yay.

November 19th, 2021: cleaning up another 2004 GI Joe equipment roster entry, I've overhauled my descriptions of the Ice Sabre. I Modernized its extant text, Streamlined the verbiage to cull annoying verbal tics of mine, Condensed its 2006 variations into these descriptions, and then built its 4C System: Edition 13 variation as well. Whew!

November 18th, 2021: no, I'm not skipping ahead to clean up the Oktober Guard. In the Devil's Due branch of the GI Joe comic continuity, the writers had Daina join the GI Joe team. No, really. As such, I went ahead and shuffled her over to the 'disavowed' portion of the 2004 personnel roster, and then Streamlined and Modernized her descriptions.

November 17th, 2021: I'm doing another block of GI Joe revisions after that last batch of proofreading, mostly because I desperately need a break from that behavior. Sure, the work of the ages is almost done, but ... bleh. Anyway, I revised the 2004 GI Joe roster's Humvee today, Modernizing, Streamlining, and Condensing its descriptions. You're welcome!

November 16th, 2021: wrapping up round sixteen of my massive overhaul of the Powers documents, I worked the text on several mind-bending abilities, namely Threescore Pestilence, Time Control, Time Travel, and Topological Control. All but Time Travel had minor grammatical issues, which I fixed. Strangely, Time Travel itself was... perfect. Brought a tear to my eye.

November 15th, 2021: for my penultimate block of proofreading on round sixteen of my Powers document(s) revisions, I've fiddled with the text on Theonic Attenuation, Theonic Invisibility, Theonic Sense, and Thought Projection. Aside from a few minor grammatical errors, these power descriptions were pretty solid. Nice, eh?

November 14th, 2021: on part six of my sixteenth block of proofreading for all four variations on the Powers document, I have pored over the text I'd previously written for the Thaumaturgical Vampirism, Thaumaturgy, Theonic Absorption, and Theonic Amplification abilities. A few minor grammatical quibbles aside, these were put together correctly.

November 13th, 2021: on the fifth day of Powers document proofreading, block sixteen, I have perused all four variations on the texts for the Temporal Static, Temporal Windows, Tentacles, and Thaumaturgical Absorption abilities. And what do you know, I've found a few oddities in the Saga System 13 and REDACTED FNORD versions of, uh, all four. Sigh.

November 12th, 2021: continuing on in my seemingly endless effort to once again proofread all the Powers document(s), I have gone over the text I've written for the Teleportation / Others, Teleport / Self, Telescopic Vision, and Temperature Control abilities. As was the case yesterday, all of these powers were functionally fine, they just needed a little... help.

November 11th, 2021: I hit a bunch of bigwig powers in this portion of my sixteenth round of Powers document(s) proofreading, cleaning up Teleformation, Telekinesis, Telepathy, and Teleport Trigger today. Each of these had one major issue I felt needed fixing, but were more or less functional as intended. So yeah, grammar problems.

November 10th, 2021: this portion of my sixteenth round of Powers document(s) proofreading has seen me finally finish all the powers that begin with S. This is because I hsve worked over the powers of Sympathetic Magic, Synchronicity, Technical Intuition, and Technological Sense, and each of these suffered a major reworking of their text in at least one paragraph.

November 9th, 2021: I'm beginning my sixteenth round of proofreading through the Powers document(s) by covering the last of the truly SUPER powers in the roster. In other words, I covered Super Synesthesia, Super Tracking, Super Vampirism, and Swirl today, the first and third of which kept getting revised again and again as I found better and better ways to describe 'em.

October 8th, 2021: wrapping up this Technoholic month, I've revised yet another Devil's Due original Joe, this one being Mayday. A world-class marksman, this urban combat expert definitely has the skills and the guts to keep up with her fellow Joes. She already had an Edition 13 variation, so she just needed a bit of Streamlining and Modernization.

October 7th, 2021: one of my favorite out of the new batch of GI Joe vehicles is the 2004 Defense Mech. I like it so much, in fact, that I just Streamlined and Modernized its extant descriptions, and then added another one for the 4C System: Edition 13 rules. Finally, I plugged in new details, about the 2005 Iron Mech repaint of the thing!

October 6th, 2021: this is the part of my GI Joe reference's revision that I was dreading, the part where an even bigger batch of Devil's Due Mary Sue insert characters showed themselves. Ugh, 2004 is lousy with them, and the first of these I had to sort out was Mariner. Why was this guy even here, you ask? Beats the REDACTED FNORD out of me.

October 5th, 2021: I've wrapped up my 2004 work on the GI Joe BTR vehicles finally, for I have just overhauled what I'd previously written for the Ground Striker. It already had a 4C System: Edition 13 variation, so all I had to do was Streamline and Modernize its extant texts, which weren't all that bad, when you get down to it.

October 4th, 2021: I'm keeping my attention on the 2004 GI Joe folks what have needed cleaning up since what, 2009? Thus, I've revised my descriptions of Hi-Tech today. GI Joe's resident mad scientist, Hi-Tech didn't even have a 4C System: Edition 13 variation yet, so I had to build that after Streamlining and Modernizing his extant texts.

October 3rd, 2021: continuing my effort against the outstanding 2004 GI Joe materials what need revising here at the 13, since I desperately needed a break from proofreading with my Technoholic time, I have overhauled the text for my Headquarters Attack entries. Already had a 4C System: Edition 13 variation, so this just needed Modernizing and Streamlining.

October 2nd, 2021: working on the 2004 GI Joe personnel roster aside its equipment listings, oddly being on the same page with both for once, I've cleaned up my descriptions of Hard Drive. I Modernized and Streamlined what I'd had on 'paper' for him thus far, and then built out his 4C System: Edition 13 variation. Odd that he only ever got one figure.

October 1st, 2021: took a minor break from proofreading as I gird my loins for the big finish of such, so I am doing a bit of GI Joe character and/or vehicle work for a while. Today's effort saw me returning to the 2004 GI Joe equipment roster, overhauling the Rapid Runner. It already had an Edition 13 variation, so this went pretty quick. Yay!

September 30th, 2021: wrapping up both the calendar month and a loose end, I've gone and replaced every instance of ACT in my still-secret, redacted FNORD system with ACTION, as I previously did with the 4C System: Edition 13 rules. This also required heavy changes to the Levels and ACTs, document, including a rename, but that wasn't all too hard.

September 29th, 2021: to wrap up my fifteenth round of proofreading on the Powers document(s), I have cleaned up the text for four super powers, including Super Running, Super Senses, Super Speed, and Super Swimming. I fidgeted with various bits of Super Senses for a lot longer than I should have, but while imperfect, I think they're much better than before.

September 28th, 2021: as my penultimate step towards completing round fifteen of my proofreading on the Powers document(s), I have gone over the text for Super Digging, Super Flight, Super Invention, and Super Jumping. For some reason, a lot of work was required on the first of these, and there's still a sentence I don't at all like. But I can't seem to improve it.

September 27th, 2021: trying to bang out this round of proofreading for my Powers document(s), I've hit the bricks and gone over what I'd written for Static Sheild, Summoning, Super Breath, and Super Climbing today. The first two needed a lot of work, while the third only required a minor revision, and the last was actually spot on. Yay?

September 26th, 2021: for the fifth segment of the fifteenth round of Powers document(s) proofreading, I have taken the listings for Spell Control, Spiritual Link, Stasis, and Static Field to task. All four of these have been heavily overhauled, not changing how they work in a mechanical sense, but making the verbiage being far less impenetrable than before.

September 25th, 2021: round fifteen in my proofreading of the Powers documents is now halfway done, for I have pored over the text inherent to the Spectral Freedom, Spectral Gestalt, Spectral Sense, and Spectral Vampirism abilities. And as it turns out, the first of these needed a whole lot of work. I'm much happier with the wording on this one now.

September 24th, 2021: still desperate to burn my way through the fifteenth round of my final (ha ha) proofread through the Powers documents, I have reconsidered my text for the Sound Generation, Space Control, Spectral Flame Control, and Spectral Flame Generation abilities. And, for the most part, I changed very, very little of the original verbiage. Yay!

September 23rd, 2021: continuing my fifteenth cycle of proofreading through the various Powers documents, I've worked on the descriptions of Sorcerous Attenuation, Sorcerous Invisibility, Soul Control, and Sound Control. Lots of minor tinkering with the text, but nothing quite as substantial as I inflicted on my work yesterday.

September 22nd, 2021: despite my schedule being thoroughly wrecked, I inexplicably started the fifteenth block of proofreading of my four variations on the Powers document on planned date. Thus, I have verified that the text for the Sleep, Solid Animation, Sonar Sense, and Sorcerous Amplification powers, majorly revising the second of these.

August 21st, 2021: since I finally, finally sorted out the acronym I truly wanted, I have gone through and replaced the instances of ACT in the 4C System: Edition 13 rules with ACTION. I know that sounds silly, but that's a whole lot of text to clean up. Also had to refine the Rank Values and ACTs document, and of course rename it appropriately.

August 20th, 2021: I am wrapping up my fourteenth block of proofreading on all four variations of the Powers document by poring over the text for the Shrinking / Self, Sidestep, Signature Power, and Situational Adaptation abilities. Shrinking / Self saw about as much attention as Shape Change did, though the others needed little, if any, tweaking to speak of.

August 19th, 2021: the penultimate block of proofreading in this cycle of work on the Powers document, I have perused the text for the Sensory Reception, Shape Change, Shields, and Shrinking / Others abilities. Found an obvious error in Shields, and have probably overhauled Shape Change's grammar more times than I would like, but hey. Done now!

August 18th, 2021: on day six of my fourteenth block of proofreading through the many Powers documents, I've pored over the verbiage of the Sensory Attenuation, Sensory Distortion, Sensory Link, and Sensory Projection powers. These were in pretty good shape, for the most part, only being tweaked to a minor extent here and there to perfect their text.

August 17th, 2021: continuing the fourteenth block of my third pass through all four variations on the Powers document, I've perused the text for the Self-Cannibalization, Self Control, Sending, and Sensing abilities today. I tweaked some of the numbers on the first one, making the ability work equally well (more or less) within all four games.

August 16th, 2021: having just finished all the powers that start with the letter R, it's time to get on the Esses! This includes proofreading the Sanctuary, Schema, Screened Senses, and Scrying powers today. I COULD have just left everything as it was, but substance-induced perfectionism induced Firebomb to tweak everything here until it was airtight.

August 15th, 2021: part three of my fourteenth block of work on the Powers documents, I've pored over the verbiage of the Retrospection, Revival, Rotting, and Roulette abilities. They all needed a bit of polishing to meet my modern writing standards, but didn't need a ton of work - particularly compared to my overhaul of Reprise yesterday!

August 14th, 2021: continuing my work in the fourteenth block of proofreading for the four Powers documents, I have perused the text for the Reprise, Resistance, Resurrection, and Resuscitation powers. And oh boy, I rewrote all four variations on Reprise from the ground up, greatly streamlining their crunchy texts. Yay, mind-bending substances!

August 13th, 2021: what do you know, I've already deviated from my update schedule by jumping right into block fourteen of my third proofreading of the Powers documents. The first batch of work for this block includes an overhaul of the Regenerative Armor, Regenesis, Reicarnation, and Repair powers, and I think all of these needed serious work.

August 12th, 2021: wrapping up my thirteenth block of proofreading through all four variations on the Powers documents, I've touched up the Redolence, Reformation, Regeneration / Others, and Regeneration / Self abilities. And where System 13 of the Saga game is concerned, I rewrote all but the first of these powers from the ground up. Bleah

August 11th, 2021: the penultimate work on my thirteenth block of my pass through of the Powers documents has seen me touching up the text for the Reanimation, Reassembly, Reassignment, and Recovery powers. I also reduced the price of Reassignment, as it seemed that the cost made many character concepts prohibitively expensive to pull off properly.

August 10th, 2021: racing towards the end, I took time out today to peruse all four variations on my text for the Radio Wave Control, Radio Wave Generation, Radivision, and Razor Skin powers. For the most part, these seemed just fine to me, with only one weird issue in the redacted FNORD system variation on Radio Wave Generation, a mere conversion error.

August 9th, 2021: that's right, the Work of the Ages continues unabated! This is because I took on the listings of the Quittance, Radar Sense, Radiation Control, and Radiation Generation powers today! Not only did I end work on the powers that begin with the letter Q, I have cleaned up two particularly tricksy powers that begin with the letter R. YAY!

August 8th, 2021: I wrapped up this Technoholic month by proofreading all four variations on Quash, Quid Pro Quo, Quills, and Quintessential Variation. Normally my neurotic brain would be over the moon due to working on an entire day worth of powers that start with Q, but the state of these listings was so horrible that I am, frankly, embarrassed.

August 7th, 2021: feeling closer than ever to achieving this goal, I proofread my heart out today. Psychometry, Psychoplasm Animation, Purge, and Quarantine are all tidied up again. Sadly, though, they had numerous sloppy errors that needed fixing, all of which should have easily been caught in my previous pass through all my rules texts. Sigh.

August 6th, 2021: racing against time, I have proofread the powers of Psychic Vampirism, Psychic Invisibility, Psychic Probe, and Psychokinesis. These were all in pretty good shape, actually, only the System 13 variation on Psychic Probe having a lingering Pronoun Problem. Signed off on these happily, as it's nice seeing stuff work out for once.

August 5th, 2021: with two distinct achievements reached here at the 13 in regards to my character efforts, it's time to switch over to my rules work. As such, I'm beginning my thirteenth round of proofreading in the Powers documents, which has seen me revising my text for Psionic Absorption, Psionic Amplification, Psionic Attenuation, and Psionic Control. Psionic!

August 4th, 2021: I suppose that, since I'm all done with the 2003 roster of GI Joe personnel and equipment, I ought to rebuild its text file archive. And I've done just that, removing all the redundant files that no longer apply to the old archive, and retaining only the Joes and Joe stuff which premiered in the year of 2003. It's so much smaller, now!

August 3rd, 2021: wrapping up my work to re-revise the 2003 GI Joe roster, and completing that half of my 'must complete' work for this Technoholic year already, I've overhauled my descriptions of Kamakura. I Condensed, Modernized, and Streamlined his extant variations, and then built out his 4C System: Edition 13 version today, as well. That's a wrap!

August 2nd, 2021: starting out my effort on the 1993 Cobra personnel roster, I am taking a break from ninjas. Ugh, ninjas. So many ninjas in the GI Joe story. Anyway. I began my trek through this year's collection of individuals and corps of minions by producing a description of the Crimson Guard Commanders, Cobras so elite that there are only a handful of them!

August 1st, 2021: what do you know, it's a new month! As I'm still playing catch-up with the 2003 GI Joe personnel roster, I am continuing on with my efforts to overhaul the 2004 GI Joe equipment roster. Said efforts have seen me revitalizing my descriptions of the Rising Tide, the second of six BTR vehicles released during this calendar year!

July 31st, 2021: for my penultimate revision to the 2003 GI Joe personnel roster, I cleaned up my descriptions of Wreckage! This Firefly repaint was originally supposed to be released in '88 as Sabre Tooth, but that never happened. Anyway, I've Streamlined and Modernized this guy, which leaves me just one GI Joe operative from '03 to go!

July 30th, 2021: being done with the 2003 GI Joe equipment roster, I suppose it's time that I start pounding away at the 2004 stuff! To this end, I have overhauled my description of that year's BTR Sledgehammer. It already had a 4C System: Edition 13 variation, so all that was necessary on my end was to Modernize and Streamline its various texts.

July 29th, 2021: yesterday I wrapped up all my work on the 1992 roster of Cobra folks and stuff. Yay! As always, this just leaves the text file archive postscript for each of these achievements, so I went ahead and built that up today, allowing those of you who follow the 13 to grab all my work on this year of Cobra using just one handy link!

July 28th, 2021: the last thing needed to complete the 1992 roster of Cobra personnel and equipment, I have (finally) written a description of the elite Ninja-Vipers! Master martial artists, these Cobra hand-to-hand experts are small in number, but are more than worth the effort it takes for the Command to transform them into living weapons!

July 27th, 2021: getting closer to wrapping up the 2003 GI Joe roster once and for all, at least for now, I have overhauled my descriptions of Cross Hair. I Condensed, Modernized, and Streamlined his extant entries, added his 2017 figure's details into the mix, and then produced an all-new, 4C System: Edition 13 variation on this sniper. Hope you like!

July 26th, 2021: at long last, I have wrapped up the veritable arsenal of 2003 GI Joe vehicles. This is because I have finally overhauled my descriptions of the Rock Crusher, the sixth BTR vehicle released this year. While this one was hopelessly out of date, as were a lot of '03 offerings, at least it was a lot shorter a description to fix overall.

July 25th, 2021: continuing my effort to wrap up the 2003 GI Joe roster once and for all, uh, again, I've turned my dread gaze towards Wide Scope. Like a lot of the 2003 material, this guy was seriously out of date, having been missed in my previous overhaul of this year's descriptions, but the man is finally up to snuff for your gaming delights.

July 24th, 2021: adding my penultimate descriptions to the 1992 roster of Cobra personnel, I have written my entries for Slice, the second half of the Slice and Dice ninja duo! As it so happens, there were a lot of slice action figures over the years, though luckily there was only one released on any given year. Whew. Anyway, only one more Cobra to go!

July 23rd, 2021: the penultimate 2003 GI Joe vehicle that needed an overhaul, the Raging Typhoon was a very large set of Lego-like bricks that could be built into either a hovercraft or four smaller vehicles. Its descriptions were particularly long, so it took a bit to clean up all three variations on this theme, but at least it's now done!

July 22nd, 2021: moving along in my character work, I've straightened up another GI Joe member from 2003! This one is Switch Gears, a staggeringly strong and stubborn tank jockey who also works in Army intelligence. I've Streamlined, Modernized, and Condensed all his descriptions into a nice, tight package for all three variations of the game. Enjoy!

July 21st, 2021: overhauling another description of a BTR vehicle today, I've cleaned up all three variations on GI Joe's Forest Fox. This thing could be converted between a Transport mode and a Jeep &trade in the field, with just a few minutes of effort. Though in the end, its ultimate point is confusing, since it carries the same number of Joes in either configuration.

July 20th, 2021: for the first time in a good long while, I've got an all-new character description for you! He is Dice, half of the infamous ninja duo Slice and Dice, a former Night Creeper who was expelled from their ranks for unspeakable crimes against his fellows. After getting such a bad reference, the only group that would take him was Cobra!

July 19th, 2021: strangely working on the same year of GI Joe personnel and equipment, I've cleaned up another Joe today, that being 2003's Red Spot. I have Streamlined and severely Modernized this laser trooper, and even gave him a 4C System: Edition 13 variation as well. I even made sure his imagery, which was malfunctioning, worked properly again!

July 18th, 2021: since all the regular GI Joe vehicles from 2003 are done, I'm left with the Built To Rule stuff that needs fixing up yet. The second of these six rides is the Depth Ray, an inexplicable device that can be transformed in the field between one of two distinct modes: dune buggy and submarine! Not sure how that works, but hey, sci-fi!

July 17th, 2021: moving back to character work once more, I've picked up where I left off in the 2003 roster of GI Joe personnel and equipment. This latest effort is an upgrade to Rampage, whose page was seriously in need of an overhaul, since apparently I missed all that when I did this back in 2010 or whatever. He's up to snuff once more, though!

July 16th, 2021: to wrap up this round of proofreading on all four variations on the Powers document, and to get me to the benchmark of being 2/3rd of the way done with this effort overall, I've pored over the text for the Psi Bolt, Psi Sense, Psi Web, and Psion Generation powers. While I made a few minor modifications to the text on these, they were mostly good.

July 15th, 2021: after the last two days of brutal updates, this batch of proofreading was a nice change of pace. I have perused all four variations on the text for the Prehensile Tail, Preincarnation, Propulsion, and Proxy powers, and for the most part, they were good! I made a few minor upgrades to each power, but really, the text for these was almost perfect.

July 14th, 2021: moving from one weird group of powers to another, I've cleaned up all four versions of the Power Transfer, Precognition, Prehensile Hair, and Prehensile Skin abilities for this update. All variations on the first needed some refining, while the Saga System 13 versions of two had both pronoun problems and conversion errors. Sigh.

July 13th, 2021: another day, another overhaul of powers that start with 'Power'. I cleaned up all four variations on Power Boost, Power Control, Power Dampening, and Power Duplication this time around, and three of these were fine. Power Duplication, however, needed a lot of work, especially the Saga System 13 variation. But hey, they're all better now!

July 12th, 2021: spent my Technoholic time today sorting out the text for all four variations on the Power Absorption, Power Amplification, Power Attenuation, and Power Block abilities. Of course, I actually spent a lot more than usual, because Power Absorption was missing more than a few details, and all four versions of it needed a serious upgrade. Ugh.

July 11th, 2021: though I had an inexplicably hard time of it, I've gone and proofread all four variations on the Positron Generation, Possession, Postcognition, and Pouches abilities for my Powers documents today. I can't explain why, but for some reason I just had a heck of a time bending my head around the proofreading on these. Maybe I'm burned out again?

July 10th, 2021: moving along in the twelfth round of proofreading on all four variations on the Powers document, I've sorted out the Plenipotentiary, Poison, Polarization, and Portal abilities today. Most of the changes here were for text flow and grammar improvement, but I changed Plenipotentiary so that its rank/rank value/intensity/level actually has a point.

July 9th, 2021: I have begun round twelve of my massive proofreading on all four variations on the Powers document with a nice, floral selection of work. Today has seen me check out the Plant Control, Plant Hybridization / Others, Plant Hybridization / Self, and Plant Sympathy powers, and I've rearranged the Plant Control text so it makes more sense.

July 8th, 2021: Hollow Point is a GI Joe member who didn't actually receive a regular figure until 2018, having been introduced in its unlamented BTR line. I find that I like the character, though, so I was happy to see that he got a re-release before the line ended, uh, yet again. Anyway, I Modernized and Streamlined him, and then added his 'first' figure to the mix!

July 7th, 2021: since I'm done with the regular GI Joe vehicles from 2003, guess who's starting to refine the BTR devices? BTR stands for Built To Rule, a really lousy brand name Hasbro used for GI Joe and Transformers toys that utilized their in-house Lego ™ knockoffs, for good or ill. Anyway, the first of these I fixed up was the Armadillo Assault!

July 6th, 2021: Hacker is a GI Joe operative I have mixed feelings about. He's presented almost like a stereotypical computer hacker, but seems a lot more redeemable than the obnoxious Joe hacker duo Devil's Due made up for... reasons. Anyway, this guy only had one figure ever, and had an Edition 13 variation, so all he needed was Modernization and Streamlining!

July 5th, 2021: a hardened pickup truck bristling with offensive capability, the Split Fire is the final conventional GI Joe vehicle from 2003 needing an update. Since only one of these was ever released, I didn't need to Condense my text for these things, and as it already had a 4C System: Edition 13 variation, I just had to Streamline and Modernize it!

July 4th, 2021: what do you know, it's Independence Day hereabouts! Here's hoping that your Fourth of July goes a bit better than it did last year, since I imagine very few folks were able to celebrate as they'd have liked. But, in case you're staying inside, here's a revised set of character descriptions for Depth Charge that I hope will keep you busy!

July 3rd, 2021: the penultimate 'regular' vehicle from 2003 that I need to revise, the Smoke Screen Transport is essentially a Humvee ™ with a one-man flying vehicle secreted inside! This is the only version of the thing ever released, and I already built its 4C System: Edition 13 variation, so all I needed to do here was Modernize and Streamline its texts!

July 2nd, 2021: continuing my efforts within the 2003 GI Joe personnel roster, I've taken the time to sort out what I'd previously written for Barrel Roll today. This involved Condensing, Modernizing, and Streamlining his texts, along with adding his new, 2013 action figure to the mix, as well as a 4C System: Edition 13 variation. He's all done again!

July 1st, 2021: as all the other 2003 GI Joe vehicles have a 4C System: Edition 13 variation at this point, I've gone slightly out of order to sort out the Wave Crusher. This tiny Spy Troops vehicle has been Condensed, Streamlined, and Modernized, and with its 4C System: Edition 13 version being added, I guess I'm all done with it again!

June 30th, 2021: while I've been working on the 2003 GI Joe equipment for a bit, I've finally caught up with that year's personnel, as well! I began my effort to rehabilitate those Joes' descriptions by Modernizing and Streamlining what I'd previously written for Agent Faces, GI Joe's super-spy, and gave him a 4C System: Edition 13 variation!

June 29th, 2021: resuming my work on the 2003 GI Joe equipment roster, I've overhauled my extensive descriptions of the Sky Sweeper Jet. This miniaturized B-2 bomber is a wonderful toy, even without the little 'spy' micro-jet secreted within! I've Condensed, Modernized, and Streamlined all three variations on this thing, so enjoy it once more!

June 28th, 2021: to end round eleven of my proofreading through all four variations on the Powers document, I skipped around ever so slightly to tee up the next round, and have revised my descriptions of Planar Control, Plasma Generation, Plasticity, and Platforming. I minimally tinkered with their rules, but seriously overhauled the text for these abilities, the first in particular.

June 27th, 2021: the penultimate day on round eleven of my proofreading through all four variations on the Powers document has seen me clean up the text for the Pheromones, Philosophical Sense, Phobia, and Pishogue powers. Minor quibbles with most of these descriptions, though I rebuilt the System 13 variation on Philosophical Sense almost from the ground up.

June 26th, 2021: round eleven of my comprehensive read-through of all four variations on the Powers document proceeds apace! To wit, I've perused the text for the Paralysis, Passing, Personal Static, and Personal Weaponry powers today, and while the rules for these were solid, I dredged up numerous improvements to their descriptive text, improving their readability.

June 25th, 2021: I took time out today to repair the surprisingly messed up text for all four variations on the Origin Sense, Overdrive, Override, and Pain super-human abilities. And this wraps up my work on the powers that start with O! Of course, you better settle in for a bit, as I'll be fixing the P powers for a very, very long time. Heh heh m heh heh, P powers.

June 24th, 2021: I've got a very fleshy update for you today, for I have proofread all four variations on the Optimization, Organic Circuitry, Organism Generation, and Organs powers. I slightly tweaked durations for the Saga System 13 and redactedFNORD variation on these, and made other, minor improvements in a grammatical sense, here and there.

June 23rd, 2021: still banging away at the O powers for my massive proofreading effort on all four variations on the the Powers documents today, and have worked the text for the Omnipresence, Omniscience, Ophidia, and Opposition powers. As it turns out, these were almost perfect, save for the most minor of grammatical quibbles and a few verbiage improvements.

June 22nd, 2021: continuing my massive trek through the powers that begin with the letter O, I have proofread the text inherent to the Object Warming, Object Weakening, Offensive Portals, and Omnipresence abilities. All four variations of these have been slightly tweaked for their respective Powers document, but for the most part they were actually perfectly serviceable.

June 21st, 2021: what do you know, it's time to start my eleventh round of proofreading on all four variations of the Powers document! To begin this auspicious occasion, I've pored over the text for the Object Cooling, Object Hardening, Object Projection, and Object Sympathy powers, and made numerous refinements to the text on each, the better to game with!

June 20th, 2021: since I've completed the effort to revise all of my GI Joe personnel and equipment descriptions introduced in 2002, the last task to be finished is rebuilding the text file downloadable for that calendar year. This file has dramatically shrank after I ripped out all the Joes and Joe stuff presented elsewhere. Goodness, it's downright tiny now!

June 19th, 2021: with all the repaints done, I get to at least end my work on the 2002 GI Joe roster by revising an all-new Joe who received an all-new mold that year! This fellow is Dart, who I have Condensed, Modernized, and Streamlined, and I'm now much, much happier with my descriptions of the man. I'm surprised he got no love over the last few years.

June 18th, 2021: keeping on with my effort to hopefully someday eventually be finished updating my GI Joe descriptions, I have revised my work on the Road Rebel. Several things needed fixing here, but at the very least, all three variations on this theme were mercifully short. So now, now this mobile weapon platform is once again ready for use in your game!

June 17th, 2021: ending the repaints era of the GI Joe roster of personnel and equipment, I have rehabilitated my descriptions of the second Sidetrack, Modernizing and Streamlining his extant variations, and then building his 4C System: Edition 13 version. Luckily, I could steal a lot of text from the first Sidetrack, speeding this one along some.

June 16th, 2021: the Patriot Grizzly was a weird animal. It was first introduced in the year 2003 as a main battle tank for the GI Joe team, but quickly received a Night Force repaint just a year later. And then, at the same time, a BTR (read: knockoff Lego ™) version was also released. So I Condensed, Streamlined, and Modernized all its entries!

June 15th, 2021: doing my best to wrap up the GI Joe half of the Repaint Era, I've overhauled my descriptions of Sideswipe today. This odd repaint of Stretcher had all his gear, which was an almost identical match for my descriptions of Lifeline 2. So, Streamlining and Modernizing this one-shot Joe was a lot easier than I expected. Only one more to go!

June 14th, 2021: alternating between characters and equipment of late, since there are so many 2003 vehicles, I have refined my descriptions of the Military Utility Vehicle, or MUV. I Modernized and Streamlined its descriptions, but didn't need to Condense it since ther was only one. Furthermore, it already had a 4C System: Edition 13 variation!

June 13th, 2021: once again switching back to character work, I'm starting my revisions to the remaining 2002 GI Joe roster. I began this by cleaning up what I'd written for the second Lifeline, adding his 4C System: Edition 13 variation, Condensing, Modernizing, and Streamlining his entries. Only three more folks to go from this year!

June 12th, 2021: to wrap up this round of Powers documents proofreading, I've pored over the text inherent to the Nimiety, Nonapparent Vision, Object Animation, and Object Charge powers. I found very little that needed fixing here, which was a great way to end this proofreading round, not to mention powers that begin with the letter N! Woo hoo!

June 11th, 2021: as my penultimate work on round ten of the Powers proofreading project, I've gone over all the verbiage inherent to the Nanotechnology Generation, Nativity Sense, Nature Control, and Nature Resistance super-powers. The rules on these didn't seem to have any inexplicable hiccups, which just left the odd grammatical improvement here and there.

June 10th, 2021: doing my best to keep focused on the work of the ages, I'm still pounding away at this third proofreading of all four variations on my Powers document. Today's effort saw me cleaning up the text for the Mood Swings, Mortal Guise, Motivity, and Mystic Servant powers, which were functionally just fine, but needed a minor bit of grammatical help.

June 9th, 2021: for my penultimate effort on the powers that begin with the letter M, I have perused the text for all four variations on Mind Transfer, Mind Walk, Mind Wipe, and Missile Generation. I've greatly clarified the rule text for Mind Walk, cleaned up Mind Wipe just a tad, and otherwise inflicted grievous grammar improvements to all four of these.

June 8th, 2021: to wrap up this second Technoholic month of the year, I've revised the text for all four variations on the Mind Control, Mind Duplication, Mind Link, and Mind Lock powers. And revise I did! Some of these were completely rewritten to iron out several kinks, and I appear to have 'buffed' the Mind Link ability. You're welcome and stuff?

June 7th, 2021: day three of this proofreading round saw me going over the text in all four variations on the Mesmermechanism, Metabolic Focus, Microscopic Vision, and Mimicry powers for the Powers documents. I tweaked some grammar here and there, and slightly 'buffed' all four versions of the Metabolic Focus power, so it affects abilities/traits, as well.

June 6th, 2021: after a slight bus-based delay, I return to engage anew in the proofreading of all four variations on the Powers document! Today's effort has saw me cleaning up the text for the Mental Invisibility, Mental Repair, Mental Trap, and Mesmerism powers, each of which had a few grammatical improvements, and the last of which got a slight 'buff'.

June 5th, 2021: leaping back into the work of the ages, I am beginning round ten (out of eighteen?) of proofreading through all four variations on my Powers document. This first foray into round ten saw me fixing up the Matter Duplication, Matter Generation, Mechanical Disruption, and Mental Doubles powers, and making many improvements to their texts.

June 4th, 2021: with all the new characters and equipment introduced to the GI Joe roster in 2001 finished once and for all, uh, again, I've rebuilt the text file downloadable for that collection of game descriptions. Unlike the last three years worth of Joe innovations, at least this one had a respectable amount of new, albeit completely silly, material.

June 3rd, 2021: the last 'original' GI Joe 'characters' created by Devil's Due in 2001 were its Greenshirts. Even though the entire point of GI Joe is that they're the best of the best of the best, go right ahead, create a group of mooks so that you can have nameless Joes ganked in your comics. Whatever. Hacky writing at its hackiest, folks!

June 2nd, 2021: wrapping up my work on the 2003 GI Joe equipment roster for the nonce, I've sorted out my writings for the Hoverstrike. This real hovercraft already had its 4C System: Edition 13 variation, so all I mostly had to do here was serious Modernization, a small bit of Streamlining, and, well, that was it. It wasn't as bad as I expected!

June 1st, 2021: the second Devil's Due original character first published in the year 2001, Firewall was another pet Joe character created as what, someone to relate to? Be 'cool'? A master computer hacker and misanthropic digital terrorist, Firewall was allowed to avoid jail in exchange for helping the Joes with her mad skills. Seems legit, I guess.

May 31st, 2021: as it so happened, the Gun Station already featured a 4C System: Edition 13 variation, so at least I didn't have to fiddle with that any. Furthermore, it was seemingly Streamlined already, so all the small amount of text for this system needed was a bit of Modernization. Oh, and its 2004 variant Condensed into this initial, 2003 description.

May 30th, 2021: with as many characters as the Devil's Due crew had to work with, I was especially annoyed when they introduced two Mary Sue style criminal hackers into the GI Joe team when they started their run on its comic. On the other hand, it was immensely satisfying to see one of these, Daemon, cheerfully murdered by Serpentor a few years later.

May 29th, 2021: while it did not previously have a 4C System: Edition 13 variation on a theme, the Desert Coyote does now! I built it after Modernizing, Streamlining, and Condensing its extant descriptions, thus put this weaponized go-kart to bed, uh, again. I think it's silly, but I bought it because it had Clutch for its driver. Clutch rules!

May 28th, 2021: finally wrapping up my work on GI Joe characters from 2001 that actually received action figures that year, I've revised my descriptions of Wet Down. In addition to cleaning up his sloppy text, I modernized his in-game representation, and provided him a 4C System: Edition 13 variation. That just leaves the '01 Devil's Due Joes (brr).

May 27th, 2021: it's a great day at the 13, for I have hit a few milestones in the proofreading of the Powers documents. I've refined the text for the Magnetic Control, Magnetic Generation, Masking, and Matter Absorption super-powers, which means the alphabet through the letter L is overhauled, and the work of the ages is now halfway done!

Of course, I must point out that this is contingent on the fact that I actually have an accurate count of just how many powers are resident in the Powers documents. My best guess (and it's sad that I don't know for sure) is that there are around five hundred and seventy-six powers listed, give or take minor system variances, and so far I've cleaned up two hundred and eighty-eight!

May 26th, 2021: as my penultimate work on round 9 of the vast proofreading of all four variations on the Powers document, I've refined my text for the Luck, Macro Sense, Magic Magnet, and Magic Sense abilities. They seemed okay at first, but with each new variation of each power I perused, I found more that could be improved. They were fine, but now they're perfect?

May 25th, 2021: trying my darndest to reach the halfway point in my overhaul of the Powers documents, I've pored over the text for the Locational Memory, Locational Sense, Logos, and Longevity abilities. I slightly enhanced Longevity for the Saga System 13 and redacted FNORD systems, to give intensity/level 1 versions of the power at least some benefit.

May 24th, 2021: continuing on in my work of the ages, I have proofread all four variations on the Light Generation, Linguistics, Link, and Loathing abilities for my Powers documents. Aside from minor tweaking in the Saga System 13 and redacted FNORD system rules for Linguistics, the rest was merely grammatical tinkering - albeit good tinkering, thank you.

May 23rd, 2021: at the halfway point in this round of proofreading all four variations on the Powers document, I've revised the text for the Levitation, Lie Detection, Life Ray, and Light Control abilities. I didin't change up or update the rules for any of these, but I did tweak numerous little bits that messed with the flow of their text.

May 22nd, 2021: I've proofread the text on all four variations of the Knowledge, Layered Shield, Learned Invulnerability, and Lethality powers, and boy was a lot of clarification required on these - three of them, to be precise, spread across all four game systems being written on the site. Ah well, at least the powers starting with J and K are done!

May 21st, 2021: for the second day of my ninth round of Powers documents proofreading, I have evaluated all four variations on the Kinetic Absorption, Kinetic Energy Control, Kinetic Focus, and Kit-Bashing ascendant abilities. These were almost entirely fine, though I removed some unnecessary textual air quotes, and slightly 'buffed' the first of these just a little bit.

May 20th, 2021: toggling back to the massive proofreading of all four variations on the Powers document, I've begun round nine (out of eighteen?) of this work. I've begun by verifying the text on the Judicature, Jumbling, Jury-Rigging, and Keeper abilities, and only the last of those needed fixing, if only by one word, for the redacted Fnord rule sets.

May 19th, 2021: moving on to the 2003 GI Joe equipment roster, which is a good thing since that year had so many vehicles, I started by cleaning up my descriptions of the Battle Blitz. This inexplicable vehicle already had a 4C System: Edition 13 variation, so all that was required to clean it up was minor Modernization and Streamlining.

May 18th, 2021: so yeah, I hate Sure Fire. Named after the leader of the then-current GI Joe collector club, and then given a rank that overshadows almost everyone on the team, he's like the ultimate Marty Sue character. I hate Sure Fire. And everyone who signed off on the creation of this wretched abomination. Anyway, his entries are current!

May 17th, 2021: wrapping up my work on the 2002 GI Joe equipment roster, I've overhauled my descriptions of the Sand Razor! Its texts have been Streamlined and Modernized, and I built up the 4C System: Edition 13 variations on the thing. I liked this particular toy a whole lot, and yet this thing only saw one release ever. Weird, if you ask me.

May 16th, 2021: 2001 was a weird year for GI Joe, where it shoehorned several older molds into representing entirely new characters. Take Double Blast, for one, who used Roadblocks first mold from '84. They then used his background data for the next Roadblock, screwing everything up. Sigh. At least I had a bit of fun with that on his descriptions.

May 15th, 2021: while I personally liked the toy for this vehicle, I think issuing two distinct repaints was a bit of a stretch. At any rate, I've Streamlined and Modernized my texts for the Night Attack Chopper, built a 4C System: Edition 13 variation on the thing, and then Condensed its two (count 'em) 2003 variations into its basic entries.

May 14th, 2021: compared to the last three years of GI Joe material, there seems to be a whole lot of folks to refine in the 2001 roster. The second of these people that I've rehabilitated is Crossfire, as his descriptions were a mess. I heavily Streamlined his texts, Modernized his rules information, and produced his 4C System: Edition 13 entry.

May 13th, 2021: though it took a surprising amount of time, I have Streamlined and Modernized my descriptions of the Assault Quad. I also produced a 4C System: Edition 13 variation on this theme, and then Condensed the 2004 Assault Quad and the 2004 Venom Striker into this core set of equipment entries, for the betterment of the 13's SEO, such as it is.

May 12th, 2021: resuming work on the character half of the 13's content, I've begun to revise the 2001 GI Joe personnel roster! I've started with Big Brawler, who ostensibly seemed like he'd require the most work to rehabilitate, so I could at least get that over with. I have Modernized, Streamlined, Condensed, and 4C Systemized his entries. Woo!

May 11th, 2021: wrapping up the eighth round of proofreading through all four variations on my Powers document, I'm now 4/9ths done with this huge task! To mark this occasion, I've slightly refined the text for the Invisibility / Self, Invulnerability, Jelling, and Jeopardy powers, which means all the powers that start with I are done at last! Er, again.

May 10th, 2021: the penultimate perusal during this round of proofreading on the four variations on my Powers document has seen me refining the text for the Interfacing, Internal Universe, Investment, and Invisibility / Others super-powers. In a rules sense, these were fine, but I wound up fidgeting with the grammar quite a bit, since it was necessary.

May 9th, 2021: crusing along in the eighth round of proofreading on all four variations of the Powers document, I've perused the text for the Inodoriferous, Inspiration, Intangibility, and Integral Control powers. The second and third of these needed some grammatical upgrades, well maybe not needed them, but I made them anyway, but the others were fine.

May 8th, 2021: rounding out this first Technoholic month of Year 24, I have proofread the Universal Heroes, 4C System: Edition 13, Saga System 13, and redacted versions of Inferiority Complex, Infravision, Infusion, and Initiative Control today. Only found one fatal grammatical error, a superfluous word, while the rest were text improvements of opportunity.

May 7th, 2021: keeping on with the proofreading of all four variations of the Powers document, I have checked the Inanime, Inaudibility, Inculcation, and Individual Shield abilities for errors. As it so happens, three out of four of these abilities were absolutely perfect, and only Inaudibility needed any fixing. And said fixing was incredibly minor!

May 6th, 2021: though my work was interrupted numerous times while someone retaliated against me for calling them out for not doing their job, I managed to clean up the descriptions of all four variations on Image Projection, Imaginary Doubles, Imaginary Mass, and Immortality. In a rules sense they were fine, but the text on each has been tightend up a lot.

May 5th, 2021: resuming the proofreading of the ages, I have verified the text on all four variations of the Hostility Screen, Ice Generation, Illusion Projection, Image Animation abilities in the Powers documents. This saw me (mostly) completing my work on the letter H, even if it took a lot - Illusion Projection in particular was quite glitchy.

May 4th, 2021: switching over from characters that need work to rules that need work, I've begun round eight of my massive proofreading effort on the four variations of the Powers document. I started with Hellfire Generation, History Control, Homogenization, and Horns. Savvy readers will note the omission of Hindrance Generation, which I'll get to (much) later.

May 3rd, 2021: with the 1997, 1998, and 2000 GI Joe rosters of personnel and equipment done, I am building a text file downloadable to contain the small amounts of original characters from these years. This ultimately amounts to just four new Joes, since everything else is a repaint of older folks and stuff. But hey, at least we're moving on to 2001, now!

May 2nd, 2021: completing my effort to overhaul the 2000 GI Joe roster of personnel and equipment, I've gone over my descriptions of Whiteout for you! He mainly required Modernization and Condensation, as he didn't need Streamlning, and since he already had a 4C System: Edition 13 variation, I mostly just had to check it for conversion errors. Ahh, nice.

May 1st, 2021: wrapping up my efforts on the 2001 GI Joe equipment roster, I have finished revising the other Devil's Due GI Joe gear introduced this year. These implements were the Cube Cams, which were introduced - and then promptly forgotten about - shortly thereafter. Luckily, these descriptions just needed a bit of tweaking, and were mostly okay. Yay!

April 30th, 2021: continuing my effort to clean up the new 2000 GI Joe characters made using repainted, older action figures, I've overhauled the first Sidetrack. This guy took an inordinate amount of effort to Streamline and Modernize, telling me I wrote him a long time ago. I also built his 4C System: Edition 13 variation, so now I'm done with him!

April 29th, 2021: since I finished my revisions on vehicles released in the year 2001, I must now overhaul some of the devices introduced to GI Joe lore in the late, unlamented Devil's Due comics continuity branch. The first of these is the Joe-Com, which has a lot of capabilities, to be sure, but seems to have almost a bit too much power for individual Joes.

April 28th, 2021: starting work on the last year of the previous millennium, I've begun to revise the 2000 GI Joe personnel roster in earnest! Today's effort has seen me cleaning up what I'd written for the Chameleon, an inexplicable Baroness repaint. She took considerable effort to Streamline and Modernize, but at least there was only one Chameleon figure ever.

April 27th, 2021: wrapping up round seven of my proofreading effort on all four variations of the Powers document, I have pored over the verbiage for the Healing / Others, Healing / Self, Heat Generation, and Hellfire Control abilities. Aside from rearranging some text to flow better, all of these were pretty solid, which makes me happy.

April 26th, 2021: pounding away at power description proofreading again today, I've verified the text on all four variations of the Gyration, Hard Points, Horns, and Headway abilities. These only required minor revisions, thankfully, and saw me finishing work on all the powers that begin with the letter G. Onward to the finish. Onward, I say!

April 25th, 2021: round seven of my proofreading cycle is proceeding apace, though this particular batch of abilities were somewhat involved. These powers, Group Link, Growth / Others, Growth / Self, and Guise, are now nice and pretty, in a textual sense. Of course, the first and the third were quite dense, and had many thing what needed updating.

April 24th, 2021: moving my way through the superhuman abilities that begin with the letter G, I have proofread all four variations on Grace, Gravity Control, Greater Invulnerability, and Greater Resistance. While 3/4 of these were pretty involved, and I actually buffed the Saga System 13 and FNORD system version of the second, there were few errors to fix today.

April 23rd, 2021: I'm already halfway through this round of Powers documents proofreading. Woo! Today I went over all four variations on Gestalting, Glamour, Gliding, and Glow, and while I found several things what could use some improving, this particualr batch wasn't especially bad. They could've been left as is, in fact, though you know... better is better!

April 22nd, 2021: we're already on day three of this proofreading round, and I've cleaned up the powers of Fugue, Fulgor, Future Control, and Genesis. They were mostly okay, but I made an inordinate amount of changes to render their text perfect. And, as you can see, I've finally worked my way through the powers what start with the letter F. Yay!

April 21st, 2021: continuing on with my seventh round of proofreading through the various Powers documents, I have refined my writing for the Forgetfulness, Fortuity, Friction Control, and Fuel powers. While I found several changes I could make here, this batch of abilities wasn't quite as in disrepair as were the previous, so there's that.

April 20th, 2021: starting my first proofreading cycle of the new Technoholic year, I've pored over my texts for Flux Analysis, Force Blast, Force Field, and Forensics, and am again disappointed. Found a few errors to fix, in a grammatical sense, but many of the changes were improvements to the text's flow that I should've utilized in the first place! Sigh.

April 19th, 2021: since I'm all done with the 1994 GI Joe roster of people and things, it's time for me to rebuild the text file downloadable for that year of heroes. I wiped the old one, added all the files that originated in this calendar year, and produced the 'read me' file that points you to where all the figures not included here reside. Ta daa!

April 18th, 2021: for my last revision to the 1994 GI Joe roster of personnel and equipment, I have overhauled my descriptions of Effects. This former Hollywood special effects expert (hence the name) enlisted after working with members of the armed forces, and never looked back! He's now been Modernized, Streamlined, and 4C Systemized!

April 17th, 2021: since the 1994 GI Joe equipment is done, and the 1997 GI Joe equipment is done, and the 1998 GI Joe equipment is done, and the 2000 GI Joe equipment is done, I suppose I'll move on to 2001! To this end, I've rehabilitated my descriptions of the Night Landing Craft, Modifying, Streamlining, and 4C Systemizing the thing at long last!

April 16th, 2021: for my penultimate revision to the 1994 roster of GI Joe personnel and equipment, I have cleaned up my descriptions of Gears. Not only did I Modernize and Streamline this genius inventor, but I've added his 4C System: Edition 13 variation as well. Just one more of these to go before the original Real American Hero line is done!

April 15th, 2021: the last vehicle GI Joe unveiled in 1994, the Blockbuster is an Arctic ride that is essentially a massive missile launcher on a 6WD chassis. As there was only one of these ever issued, Streamlining and Modernizing the Blockbuster wasn't all that much of a pain, and producing its 4C System: Edition 13 variation only took a short amount of time. Yay!

April 14th, 2021: with all the regular GI Joe operatives from 1994 sorted out, I'm working my way through the team's Star Brigade sub-team now. The first of these I hit is Space Shot, a guy who really doesn't fit in well with the rest of the GI Joe 'story', but I covered him all the same. He's now Modernized, Streamlined, and 4C Systemized, so enjoy!

April 13th, 2021: the second to last GI Joe vehicle from 1994 what needed an overhaul, the Manta Ray, has now been cleaned up. This vehicle is somewhat small and simple, its description needing only minimal work for Streamlining and Modernization. Also, building up its 4C System: Edition 13 variation only took a couple minutes, so that's done as well!

April 12th, 2021: moving along through the 1994 GI Joe roster of people and things, I have cleaned up my descriptions of the original GI Joe. Joseph Colton, in all his glory, has been Condensed, Modernized, and Streamlined. On top of that, I added his 4C System: Edition 13 variation, not to mention his recent, 2014 action figure. We're slowly getting there!

April 11th, 2021: continuing on in my blitz to crank out my upgrades to the 1994 GI Joe roster of personnel and equipment. I've refined my descriptions of the Razor-blade today. This is a small rescue copter, though it is armed with a few missiles because, you know, missiles! The Razor-blade is now Streamlined, Modernized, and 4C Systemized.

April 10th, 2021: resuming something resembling a normal update schedule, at least compared to year 23, I've begun work on the 1994 GI Joe personnel and equipment roster! The first upgrade I have produced is to the Ice Cream Soldier, who only received one action figure. Thus, performing Modernizing, Streamlining, and 4C Systemization was relatively easy.

April 9th, 2021: well hi there, and welcome to year twenty-four of the life and times of Technohol 13: the Atomic Drink! We've reached that weird point where this site has been live for more than half of my existence thus far, and to mark this occasion I have rolled over the usual indicators that time has progressed up in this piece.

Furthermore, I've uploaded the entire 13 anew to account for some behind-the-scenes work I have engaged in over the last few months. While I logged a bunch of search and replace functions in the updates a few months back, I somehow managed to wipe most of those out, so I did them all again. I did so over time, to spare my sanity, so you may see some changes here and there.

But, as always, I cannot just do maintenance work to celebrate the new Technoholic year, as that'd be a lackluster anniversary. Thus, I've used today as the perfect opportunity to complete my work on the 1993 GI Joe roster! That's right, I've Modernized and Streamlined and 4C Systemized my text for the inexplicable Colonel Courage, who I can't help but like.

And, since that wrapped up the 1993 GI Joe personnel and equipment entries what needed revising, since many of them were so old it hurt, I have reassembled the text file downloadable for this year of heroes and their things. The new one is much, much smaller, having excised all the old files of Joes who got repaints that year. So hey, less bandwidth, if you care!

I'm not just updating a few extant things for this auspicious day, however. For one thing, I added details of the Cobra Power Fighter into its 1994 roster of equipment, but since it was just a counterpart to the GI Joe Power Fighter, that mainly just involved sorting out my work on the latter, and then adding details of Cobra's dubious version.

But even this just kinda-sorta adds something new to the site. Keeping that in mind, I finally got back on the new character thing, at least for a little bit, and produced a description of Overkill, the originally artificial leader of Cobra's Battle Android Troopers! He was a weird outlier in their ranks, and eventually replaced by a cyborg for some reason.

So that's that. One character update, one text file downloadable revised from scratch, one new character, a fresh upload of the entire 13, and all that anniversary overhaul business. Not too bad for the beginning of Technohol 13: Year 24. May the rest of the year be full of progress on my many, many outstanding projects, and eventually pave the way for all-new material!
