Sneak Peek (deceased?)

Origin:
Though he has seemingly occult levels of observational power, Sneak Peek is naught but a normal human. He simply relies upon his keen skills and sensory organs, not to mention nerves of steel, to pull human intelligence from movements behind enemy lines.
Powers:
(none)
Hindrances / Augmentations:
(none)
Equipment:
Comm Gear (i): though it is of lower power, Sneak Peek carries a walkie talkie with him on the job. He can use this to communicate with a control group with intensity 3 power, a 5 mile range. Sneak Peek's gear has the usual GI Joe signal encryption - of intensity 10 complexity.
Helmet (s): Sneak Peek typically has his helmet with him in the field, even when he assumes nobody knows where he is. This gear provides his cranium intensity 8, or +2, protection from physical attacks, and the attached visor grants him like Screened Senses for his vision.
Knife (s): as an advanced recon operative, Sneak Peek often has to cut various items to secure himself a bolt-hole to watch enemy troop movements. His blade is made from m.s. 12 materials, and can be used to cut through items of like m.s. or to inflict +2 damage in melee.
Machine Gun (a): Sneak Peek usually has his M-16 handy whenever he finds himself in the field. He can fire this weapon to inflict his Agility +4 in damage with a single shot, his Agility +5 in damage with a short burst, or his Agility +6 damage when fired full auto.
Observation Gear (w): Sneak Peek's main job is to collect intelligence far away from support. He does this with the aid of various binoculars and scopes, some rather heavy. They allow him to see anything going on within his line-of-sight, assuming a decent enough light source.
Skills:
Boxing (s): while the Army taught him how to shoot, it merely had to brush up on the brawling skills Sneak Peek already had. When attempting unarmed combat, Sneak Peek may divide his pre-card play action score between two attacks, the last occurring as a contingent action.
Guns (a): a skill he picked up after enlisting, Sneak Peek has been well trained in the fine art of gunplay. When wielding a standard, semi-automatic, or fully automatic rifle or pistol (like his M-16), Sneak Peek may fire it at a reduced difficulty level.
Military / United States (w): the source of about half of his talents, this skill serves as a handy origin of sorts for Sneak Peek. It represents his innate understanding of the SOP, and demonstrates how Sneak Peek can readily function in a professional combat unit.
Survival (w): as a fully qualified Ranger, Sneak Peek naturally knows how to get by for extended periods in the wild. No matter what terrestrial climate or environment he finds himself in, Sneak Peek can usually find enough food, water and shelter to subsist on indefinitely.
Contacts:
Sneak Peek is a GI Joe team member in good standing. As such, he can readily count upon them for assistance in most anything he could ask - especially where his good pal Dusty is concerned. Sneak Peek can also rely on several additional, as of yet unnamed military contacts as well.
Calling:
Soldier: the GI Joe operative known to his fellows as Sneak Peek has embraced the military life. He truly enjoys working in the untamed wilds of enemy territory, because he wants to use his skills to help his fellow soldiers, pushing himself to the limit all the while.
Costume:
Sneak Peek's first GI Joe uniform is a simple affair. It includes a pair of gray trousers with red padding on the front, a gray jacket with red padding on the chest and shoulders over a white T-shirt, gray gloves, black leather boots, and a gray helmet with a black visor strapped on.
Personality:
Sneak Peek has patience and guts - in spades! He's a legend among Rangers for his courage and sheer stamina behind enemy lines, and thinks nothing of spending a week there to collect information for his allies. He's thorough and meticulous in just about everything he does.

Story:
Sneak Peek was born in the generally creepy town of Bangor, Maine, where he learned how to become one with the wilderness around him. Sneak Peek took those outdoor skills with him to the military upon his enlisting, and before you knew it the man was a fully qualified Army Ranger.
His prowess in the field quickly grew to legendary status, particularly after one incident when, after his control team was overrun, Sneak Peek was left to fend for himself. Behind enemy lines, he spent weeks taking in data before anyone thought to recall the guy.
Having shown he has what it takes time and time again, Sneak Peek was eventually recruited onto the GI Joe team - just in time to participate in the first Cobra Island Civil War, where he served as a member of the Joes' advanced reconnaissance team there.
His performance there, as well as during several subsequent missions, gained Sneak Peek a large measure of respect among his fellow Joes. He was on particularly good terms with Dusty, and the duo spent their leave together at Sneak Peek's parents' house on numerous occasions.
Sneak Peek has been at the forefront of several missions against Cobra, including their most bloody: the Battle of Benzheen. During this fight, Sneak Peek was compelled to rescue a hostage placed in danger by one of Cobra's Range-Vipers, but this turned out to be a deadly trap.
Before Dusty could stop him, Sneak Peek walked right into Cobra's line of fire, and was gunned down. With his allies pinned down by enemy fire, Sneak Peek couldn't receive assistance in time, and seemingly died of his many wounds on the street - mere yards from his teammates.
Dusty collected Sneak Peek one GI Joe got the edge on their Cobra attackers, even though he was seemingly dead by this point. Having promised his mother, Dusty then carried Sneak Peek all the way back to the GI Joe team's base of operations in Benzheen, several hours away.
Having officially died in action, Sneak Peek received a headstone in the Arlington National Cemetery along with all of his fellow dead Joes - not that this was much of a consolation to his family and friends.
(Historical Divergence: IDW Time Line)
As it turned out, Sneak Peek hadn't died as was previously thought. It is unknown whether Stretcher, who had pronounced him dead, was in on this deception, or was as convinced of Sneak Peek's demise as was everyone else who couldn't detect a sign of life in the man.
Either way, the government decided to let Sneak Peek's status stand, and made use of this legally deceased GI Joe operative in numerous clandestine missions. It would be years before any of his fellow Joes, even his good buddy Dusty, realized that the man yet lived.
All Sneak Peek was cleared to tell his fellow Joes is that they weren't cleared to know what he was up to, no matter what he wanted to share with them. And, what he was up to was a long-term mission in the land of Darklonia, a land ruled by the despotic cousin of Destro, Darklon.
Upon his return to the Pit, Sneak Peek resumed working on conventional missions alongside his fellow Joes, though his return was no walk in the park. Soon after his arrival, he had to attend to the funeral of his mother, who he hadn't been able to see since his untimely 'demise'.
Sneak Peek continued on as a valued member of the team, until he was fatally shot in another mission to Darklonia, this time while investigating the cybernetics firm Revanche and its deadly artificial life forms. But then, this wasn't Sneak Peek's first rodeo with mortality.
Both times he was thought killed in action, Sneak Peek died in the exact same manner: bleeding out after serious gunshot wounds. So it's possible that he's really dead this time, was extracted for further deniable clandestine work, or simply has a bad habit of coming back to life.
In the end, only time will tell.
