GI Joe Headquarters

The current, 1992 model of GI Joe Headquarters is an easily erected, prefabricated headquarters, and is considered a 'large' base for the purpose of military / heroic operations. It can be quickly put together just about anywhere on earth, allowing the GI Joe team to fight Cobra forces on all fronts.

Overall, the inner walls, outer walls, floors, ceilings, and other structures of the base should be considered to be of Incredible (40) m.s. The '92 GI Joe headquarters has these features (note - the directions involved from here on assume the front of the '92 Headquarters is facing north, for convenience):

Arsenal: allowing it to last through a rather long, drawn out conflict, this room is usually chock full of spare rockets, ammunition rounds, and extra firearms and parts. Of course, the Joes also store a bunch of other sundry, yet necessary gear in this room, which usually pays off in the long run.

Computer / Communications Room Packages: in the northeast corner of the Headquarters is a computer command / control room. This room has a computer to monitor base security cameras and sensors, Good (10) intensity comm gear, and access to outside computer networks (Incredible (40) cost).

Dining Room Package: since the Headquarters is sized to house up to fifty GI Joe operatives - even if that'd be a rather tight fit - it goes without saying that it has to have room to feed them somewhere. It has a mess hall capable of dealing with about twenty soldiers at once (Remarkable (30) cost).

Double Pulse-Propelled Rocket Launcher: this portable, tripod-mounted launcher isn't tied to a specific location in the Headquarters, allowing it to be field-deployed to any location that requires extra firepower. This launcher can hold two projectiles, which do damage as is indicated below.*

Eliminator Rapid-Pulse Rocket Launcher: this powerful, six-round rotary rocket launcher is usually situated in front of the GI Joe Headquarters' main door, acting as a first round of defense against enemy vehicles and personnel. It fires rockets that inflict damage as is indicated below.*

However, the Rapid-Pulse launcher can in fact fire a multi-rocket volley, doing additional damage depending on just what it needs to render into a small pile of scrap. By firing two missiles, it can increase their damage by +1 CS, and by firing four missiles, it can increase their base damage by +2 CS.

Fire Extinguishers: scattered throughout the GI Joe Headquarters are a plethora of fire extinguishers, handy should Cobra come calling. These canisters can emit a spray of fire-retardant foam that can reduce the intensity of ambient flames at Good (10) rank, enough to kill most minor flames.

Garage Package: the GI Joe Headquarters has a fully equipped motor pool, allowing it to service Joe vehicles, whether they simply need fuel, a change of tires, or a new transmission. This garage is capable of servicing up to three vehicles at once, giving it an overall Excellent (20) cost.

Imprisonment Package: this smaller room, in the northwest room of the Headquarters, is available to hold Cobra (or other enemy) prisoners. Its captivity system is a fully secured, "Lock-Tight" jail cell, with bars of Incredible (40) m.s., a cage that is rather small, really... (Remarkable (30) cost).

Kitchen Package: since it has the room to feed its occupants, the GI Joe Headquarters undoubtedly has room to cook their meals, too. As they may be on the premises for quite a bit, the kitchen is equipped with a sink, stove, microwave oven, refrigerator, freezer, and cooking utensils (Remarkable (30) cost overall).

Laser Bazooka Cannons: the Headquarters has two of these weapons, both of which are situated on its tower (one on the top floor, one on the second). These powerful weapons fire a burst of photons at a target which will inflict up to Incredible (40) Energy damage per shot.

Power Room Package: as they are designed to operate independent of outside power sources (so they can be placed anywhere) the portable GI Joe Headquarters have their own power supplies. This is an Amazing (50) cost package, but removes the threat of external power interruptions from the base.

Search Light: situated on the tower of the GI Joe Headquarters is a very powerful search light. This rotating energy emitter can bathe a four area-square zone in Excellent (20) intensity light, or narrow its focus down to a one area zone of real estate, filling it with Remarkable (30) intensity illumination.

Single Pulse-Propelled Rocket Launcher: the Headquarters has two of these launchers available to protect it from enemy attacks. The first is mounted on top of the base's guard tower, while the second is placed in the extreme northeast corner. These missiles inflict damage as is indicated below.*

Tower: finally, the GI Joe Headquarters has a three-story tall tower with which to surveil the surrounding landscape. Equipped with a personnel elevator for fast access to the observatory on top, the tower is also host to the base's search light, as well as three of its defensive weapons.

* All of the GI Joe Headquarters' rockets have a splash effect, damaging what they hit and anything else within that area equally well, if objects / personnel in that area lack the benefit of cover. Furthermore, these versatile rockets possess the following vehicular statistics:

Ex 20
In 40
Ex 20
Rm 30 Edged Attack
