Origin:
As are his fellow Joes, Law is but a normal human, at least physically speaking. He lacks ascendant, super-human powers of any stripe, whether based on beneficial genetic mutations, psionic awakening, sorcerous schooling, or even deific province. But he does fine without 'em.
Powers:
(none)
Hindrances / Augmentations:
(none)
Equipment:
Grenades (i): for the most part, Law carries tear gas grenades while on duty, allowing him to disperse large crowds with their stunning effect. During more active duty, Law also carries incendiary (energy damage) grenades. These devices work at intensity 10 effectiveness.
Helmet (s): Law always wears a helmet while on duty, to minimize his risk of injury on patrol. Manufactured from a composite of various materials, this helmet affords Law intensity 8, or +2, protection from physical assault striking him in the cranium.
Night Stick (s): since he isn't out to fill ordinary criminal-types full of lead (most of the time, at least), Law carries this handy weapon to subdue folks while on duty. In melee, he can use this tried and true police weapon to inflict an impressive +3 damage.
Sidearm (a): a backup for all of his other weaponry, this small hand cannon is the last thing between Law and melee combat most of the time. It can discharge a single round to inflict his Agility +4 in damage, or several rounds to instead inflict his Agility +5 in damage.
Uzi 9mm (a): Law uses this, or a like firearm, as his main weapon. It can be used to inflict his Agility +4 in damage when firing a single shot, his Agility +5 in damage when discharging a short burst of rounds, or his Agility +6 in damage when fired continuously.
Skills:
Animal Handling / Dogs (w): Law has always had a way with animals, especially dogs. He gets on so well with them, in fact, that it seems that they understand whatever he says to them. When trying to convince animals to do something, Law makes such efforts at a reduced difficulty.
Boxing (s): part of the training he received with the Houston PD, training which was bolstered in the Army, this skill reflects Law's ability to defend himself. He can divide his pre-card play action score between two unarmed attacks, the last of which occurs as a contingent action.
Guns (a): a talent that is necessary as both a civilian and military police officer, this skill represents Law's ability to wield firearms when necessary. Whether it be a standard, semi-automatic, or fully automatic rifle or pistol, Law may dicharge it a reduced difficulty.
Law (i): having been a law enforcement officer in both civilian and military arenas, Law knows plenty about, well, the law. While he cannot serve as a laywer without passing the bar, at least, he may nonetheless attempt Intellect actions based on legal knowledge at a reduced difficulty.
Law Enforcement (w): Law was a beat cop for several years even before he enlisted. His training with the Houston PD, not to mention in the armed forces, has given him the ability, while acting as an enforcer of the law, he can legally carry arms and make arrests.
Military / United States (w): while a successful policeman in the Houston PD, Law wanted to make more of a difference, and as such enlisted to become an MP. As a result, he has gained an understanding of military protocols and procedures in addition to the above skills.
Contacts:
As a member of the GI Joe group, Law can readily count his many teammates in that military organization as reliable contacts; after all, the Joes always look after their own. Furthermore, Law has many additional contacts in both military and law enforcement circles.
Calling:
Soldier: Law truly loves his job with the Joes, as it is the ultimate expression of a policeman's duty, after all - he's helping to bring the scum of the earth to justice. He gleefully does his duty as the GI Joe team's chief of security, and relishes his opportunity to do so.
Costume:
Law's first GI Joe field uniform consists of brown trousers, a red T-shirt beneath a blue vest, a black 'MP' arm band, black leather boots, a black leather belt, a silver belt buckle, a silver 'MP' badge on his vest, a black holster for his sidearm, and a white 'MP' helmet.
Personality:
Law has been described as a 'slow-talking, mule-headed, obstreperous hoot owl with an attitude'. In addition to being rather single-minded, he likes working with animals, and truly enjoys seeing a guilty party brought to justice - it just makes him feel good about the world.

Story:
Law was a beat cop in Houston's Fifth District with his dog, Order, protecting and serving as best as he could for over two years. One night on the job, he decided that there had to be a better way to serve justice, and as such enlisted to get a job as an MP.
He took Order with him, and his love for the law, in addition to his stubborn nature, meant that there was no doubt that he'd get the job he wanted. Law did feel that his job was more fulfilling, and as such he performed his duty with a peace of mind that bordered on Zen meditation.
Noticed by his superiors, Law was sucked into a strange, nested covert operation alongside Chuckles, Fast-Draw, and Lieutenant Falcon. Told they were assigned to the GI Joe team, they were ordered to guard an experimental missile system with their very lives.
An incredibly illegal operation, this missile, which was written off the books in an accounting 'error' years ago, was aimed right at Cobra Island. This being a huge diplomatic no-no currently, these ersatz Joes started digging into the situation, and figured out what was really going on.
As such, they abducted Hawk, the leader of the actual GI Joe team, and told him what was going on. Though they received significant opposition from Zarana and several Dreadnoks, this team ultimately got rid of the missile, as well as the corrupt politician and general behind this scheme.
Impressed with the performance of these four soldiers, who thought they were acting as members of GI Joe, Hawk then invited them onto the team for real. These fellows quickly made their mark on the team, and Law was put on the GI Joe team's security detail along with Order.
When not active on some mission or another, Law and Order saw to the security of the third Pit installation, alongside Mutt and Junkyard. They filled this role for the duration of their time with the GI Joe team, only stopping in their duty when the team was disbanded back in '94.
(Historical Divergence)
Since then, Law and Order have heeded the call when the team was active over the years, as it has had an intermittent existence after its first shutdown. But the duo are happy to fight Cobra whenever they are needed, as was the case during the second Cobra Island Civil War.
Not to mention when Cobra triggered World War III, and almost conquered the world in one fell swoop. However, thanks to the dedication of Law and his fellows, those terrorists ultimately failed in this effort, their organization crumbling in the wake of the Commander's capture.
Presumably, Law (and Order, of course) are sticking with the team to help them secure the earth, and capture all of Cobra's 'loose ends' in the wake of their greatest, yet failed, scheme.
1990 Variations
Equipment:
Laser Pistol (a): in the nineties, Law supplemented his otherwise mundane GI Joe arsenal with this high tech product of GI Joe engineering. It can fire a beam that inflicts his Agility +4 in Armor Piercing energy damage per blast, and can fire ten shots before it must be recharged.
Sonic Cannon (a): this device generates tightly focused sound waves that inflict intensity 10 force or energy damage, depending on its setting. It is energized by a large power pack mounted on Tunnel Rat's back, and can fire ten shots before it needs to be recharged.
Costume:
Law's second uniform is a variation on his first. It includes tan trousers, an Army green T-shirt under a bright green vest, a white 'MP' arm band, brown leather boots, a brown leather belt, a golden belt buckle, a golden 'MP' badge, a brown firearm holster, and a white 'MP' helmet.
1993 Variations
Equipment:
Armor Plating (s): once he added active field duty to his long list of responsibilities, Law began wearing heavier armor on the job. A majority of his third field uniform did, in fact, consist of armor plating, providing him intensity 8, or +2, protection from conventional assault.
Enforcer Gun (i): when working in the field alongside his fellow Joes, Law started carrying around this immense large rocket launcher. This two-handed weapon, with its handy front-mounted shield (to protect against suppressive fire) fires missiles that inflict intensity 10 damage each.
Knife (s): for a short time, while he was more proactively assigned, Law carried a blade with him during missions. Made from strength 12 metals, he can use this knife to cut through items of like m.s. given enough time, or inflict +2 slashing damage in melee.
Costume:
Law's third uniform is a vast departure from his first two. It consists of a blue pants with armor plating on the lower legs, a gray shirt with armor plating on the lower arms and in places on the torso, blue and gray armored gloves, blue and black armored boots, and a gray steel helmet.
