Ghille Suit (a): Don's preferred 'Spy Troops' gear, this suit helps him to blend into the bush. Camouflaged to help him insinuate himself into overgrown environs, Don's ghille suit causes others attempting to detect him to do so at an increased difficulty level while he's motionless.
Grenades (i): Don always has two of these handy, pinned to his jacket. He can flind these explosives to inflict intensity 10 damage to every non-covered foe within near missile range of his target. Of course, he usually saves these for the absolute last resort...
the Joe-Com (i): this is a new device given to all Joes since the group's reactivation. This high-tech wristband functions as an audio/video transceiver with various other goodies built in to help a soldier on the go, and is described in greater detail in its own equipment entry.
Knife (s): Don always has a blade with him in the field, in the event that he has to cut something - or silence someone quietly. Built from m.s. 12 materials, it can be used to cut through items of like m.s., or to inflict his Strength +2 damage in melee.
M-16 (a): this weapon can be fired to inflict Don's Agility +4 damage in a single shot, +5 in a short burst, or +6 full auto. It also has an under-slung grenade launcher, firing projectiles that inflict damage per the grenades, listed above.
Semi-automatic Pistol (a): a back-up in the event that his other guns fail him, Don has this weapon handy on a convenient hip holster. He can fire this gun to inflict his Agility +4 damage in a single shot, raised to his Agility +5 damage in a semi-auto burst.
Sniper Rifle (a): his primary tool in the field, Don can fire this weapon to devastating effect. Each shot this weapon fires can inflict his Agility +5 damage, though it has a scope for a +1 to hit (which can stack with aiming maneuvers as well).
Boxing (s): a vital skill everyone learns in the military, Don has the ability to defend himself should he find himself unarmed. When engaging in such combat, he may split his pre-card play action score between two attacks, the last of which is a contingent action.
Marksmanship (a): it may go without saying, but Don is a very good shot. Whenever he's firing a standard, semi-automatic or fully automatic rifle or pistol, Don may do so at a reduced difficulty. A master level gunman, he may also resolve such attacks with his Strength or Agility.
Military / United States (w): a handy 'origin' for all his other talents, this skill describes Don's Army background and lifestyle. Thanks to his training, Don can fit seamlessly into a military unit, and has an instinctual understanding of the SOP
Teaching (w): his secondary military specialty, Don is also a marksmanship instructor. Having learned how to teach others most effectively - both in the field and in the classroom - Don should receive a reduced difficulty when trying to pass his skills along to others.
Soldier: Don enjoys the military way of life, both when it comes to defending his home from terrorist dirt bags or simply for the camaraderie. He'll happy execute any order from his superiors that seems remotely sensible, and is happy to risk life and limb for his country.
Don's first GI Joe uniform is a template for all his others. It consists of a green sweater over a black turtle neck and under a 'short' camouflaged green jacket, camouflaged green trousers, gray leather boots, gloves and knee pads, brown belts and holsters for his gear, and a green hat.
His Night Force uniform is a variant on this. It includes a gray sweater over a black turtle neck and under a 'short' black jacket, black trousers, gray leather boots, gloves and knee pads, gray belts and holsters for his gear, and a black hat.
Don is a quiet, analytical sort. This helps him immensely in his line of work, but the problem is the man can't turn this off; he seems to apply his skills to friend and foe alike (though the former usually doesn't get shot as a result), which tends to make them jumpy around him.

Don has had a grand career in the military, thanks to his particular quirks. Possessing an almost supernaturally keen eye and a strange tendency to be exceedingly quiet all the time, Don proved to be an exceptional sniper. Naturally, the Army put this to good use.
Skilled enough (in time) to become a marksmanship instructor, Don worked in that capacity until he was chosen to join the elite GI Joe team. Of course he didn't get to work in the field right away; Don had to do his time as one of the Joe team's new 'green shirts' first.
Once he'd proven his mettle, Don was promoted and eventually given his own code name, and immediately put to action in an operation against Tyler Wingfield, the son of notorious terrorist and all around whack job 'Commander' Wingfield. Naturally, Don's mission was a success.
After this, Don saw further action against Cobra both domestically and abroad, and he was present for the Joes' actions during the second Cobra Island Civil War. He also helped guard Destro while the captured arms dealer was transported by train as a trap for Cobra Commander.
Soon after, the Joe team was deactivated a second time (at least publicly), and Don shifted to a reserve status in the group, lending his assistance whenever called by the leadership of its third incarnation. One such time came when Cobra instigated World War III itself!
Naturally, Don was more than ready to defend the United States - and the world itself - from Cobra's last-ditch effort to conquer the entire globe. Narrowly successful in victory, Don and his fellow Joes then merely had the task of rounding up all the escaping Cobras.
A task that continues to this very day...!
