Cobra's 2011 Personnel and Equipment
Personnel:
Cobras: the core of their namesake organization, the teeming masses of Cobras are general laborers and combatants. Almost all of Cobra's minions begin at this level, providing a proper foundation the group's world domination plans! Availability:
Cobra Commander: Cobra's founder, its mysterious Commander began as an unsuccessful businessman who, after his paranoia told him that Big Government was out to crush the 'little guy', decided to forge a new system - one with him on the top! Availability:
Croc Master: obsessed with crocodiles all his life, the man known only as Croc Master founded Guard Gators, Inc., to sell his babies as a deadly security system. This endeared him with Cobra's leadership, who needed to secure its large tropical Island! Availability:
Jungle Battle Android Troopers: Jungle BATs are mass-produced in Cobra factories, using factory seconds for microprocessors and mechanical components built in third world sweat shops. Though dumb as hammers, BATs are heavily armed and dangerous! Availability:
Rock-Vipers: using the latest in climbing gear, and conditioned to work effectively at high altitudes, Rock-Vipers are Cobra's mountaineering experts. They easily take the high ground with their advanced climbing skills, and hold it with their heavy ordnance! Availability:
Storm Shadow: Tommy Arashikage, Cobra's greatest ninja, didn't originally start out with evil aims. Thanks to the machinations of Cobra Commander, however, he was swept into a life of crime and terrorism, one that continually comes back to haunt him! Availability:
Techno-Vipers: the combat engineers of the Cobra forces, Techno-Vipers are former Vipers who have demonstrated skill in the construction and maintenance of mechanical and electronic things of all kinds, making them popular members of that organization! Availability:
Vipers: those Cobras who show great promise as combatants are often promoted to that organization's light infantry: the Vipers! These thoroughly trained, highly motivated, and well-equipped operatives are a serious threat to freedom world-wide! Availability:
Dreadnoks:
Gnawgahyde: a foul-smelling card cheat and a reprehensible sort, Gnawgahyde was a perfect candidate for Dreadnok membership. After they brought him into the fold, he quickly made himself at home, earning the gang plenty of money with his poaching! Availability:
Road Pig: one of the strongest Dreadnoks, save for Zartan himself, Road Pig is also one of the most violent. And ugliest. And smelliest. But the gang keeps Road Pig around despite all this, and more, because he's something of an ace in the hole for them. Availability:
Thrasher: growing up terminally spoiled, the youth that would devolve into Thrasher wanted for nothing. With no discipline to rein him in, Thrasher's violent, destructive urges consumed him, and he ultimately found his way into the Dreadnoks! Availability:
Zandar: Zartan's brother, Zandar is nominally one of his lieutenants in the Dreadnoks. His asocial tendencies generally preclude him being an active leader of the bunch, however, and as always, he has a tendency to blend into the background. Availability:
Zanzibar: born in the Cayman Islands and raised on a garbage scow, Zanzibar grew up to respect no one and nothing. Basic manners escape him, as does the notion of personal property, at least respecting others. Even the Dreadnoks despite the man! Availability:
Zarana: Zartan's sister, Zarana is one of his lieutenants in the Dreadnoks. Her unchecked cruelty, greed, and ambition also garnered her a position as Cobra's second in command for quite some time, an opportunity she milked for all it was worth. Availability:
Iron Grenadiers:
Destro: the latest in a long line of arms traders, James McCullen Destro XXIV has no problem selling his family's wares to the highest bidder. While personally honorable, he has no qualms about working with the likes of Cobra and other despotic villains. Availability:
Iron Grenadiers: drawn from the ranks of earth's elite mercenaries, the Iron Grenadiers are the core of Destro's personal army. Insidious saboteurs and relentless arms dealers, the Iron Grenadiers are supremely motivated, as they get a cut of every MARS sale! Availability:
Python Patrol:
Tele-Vipers: vital cogs in Cobra operations, Tele-Vipers are the men and women who relay messages back and forth between the Cobra command and its subordinates. As such, it's rare to see Cobra's leadership without a Tele-Viper handy. Availability:
Equipment:
Crimson Guard:
the Crimson HISS: appropriating several of Cobra's new, Mark 5 HISS tanks, the Crimson Guard has made them their own. As per the norm, this mostly involves their repainting them in their crimson color scheme, but who knows what else they've done? Availability:
Python Patrol:
the Python Stinger: an enhancement of Cobra's venerable off-road combat vehicle, the Python Stinger has all the abilities of its regular namesake, plus one: the Python Stinger is invisible to both radar and infrared sensors! Availability:
the Python Patrol Water Moccasin: Water Moccasins are medium-sized air boats that are light and fast, despite their heavy arms and armor. Thanks to it undergoing the Pythonization process, these special Water Moccasins are also nigh-impossible to detect! Availability:
