GI Joe: 2006 Personnel and Equipment
Cover Girl: after she grew tired of life as a fashion model, Courtney joined the Army to properly challenge herself. Becoming a grease monkey and an Armor expert, she's proven her skills time and time again, usually at the wheel of her Wolverine! Availability:
Frostbite: born in crisp, cool Galena, Alaska, Frostbite grew up to handle the snow and ice like second nature. This taught him how to easily do almost any job under such conditions, whether fixing a leaky oil pipeline or driving the Snow Cat into battle! Availability:
Gi Jane: a member of the old-style GI Joe team with the cover of a combat nurse, 'Gi' Jane Martelle is also an expert in covert operations and high energy physics; in fact, she's gone so far as to develop a rapid-pulse electron cannon that can strike anywhere in this hemisphere (and enjoys doing so)! Gi Jane comes in Classic and Saga styles!
GI Joe: Joseph Colton was the founder and leader of the original GI Joe team. He literally has decades of combat experience, both that which has been publicized and that which is highly classified. Aside from possibly Duke, he may be the only man to serve on both incarnations of the GI Joe team! GI Joe comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Grand Slam: a comic book / sci-fi fan, James has always been fascinated with advanced technology. An electronics major in college, he attended the Army's Special Weapons and Advanced Technology schools, allowing him to wield the HAL! Availability:
Low-Light: lost in the woods for three weeks during a hunting trip gone wrong, Cooper overcame his fear of the dark, animals, and loud noises - and how! He grew up to become one with the night, and is an expert tracker, night spotter, and sniper! Availability:
Med Alert: a former emergency room doctor, Kirk stepped up to the plate when he felt his country needed him, and enlisted in the armed forces. As a combat medic and as a Tai Chi Chuan instructor, Kirk excels as both a friend, mentor and caretaker of his fellow GI Joes! Med Alert comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Spirit: a psychologist and Vietnam veteran, Charlie is an expert woodsman that brings considerable talent to GI Joe. His fellows fail to understand him now and then, but they respect his skill and his ability to keep them alive! Availability:
Snake-Eyes: a singularly mysterious man, the commando known only as Snake-Eyes has experienced nothing but tragedy in his life. However, he's persevered through the years, and become a true force to be reckoned with - as would any other ninja master! Availability:
Stalker: though he started out as an urban warlord in Detroit, Lonzo cleaned up his act and joined the Army, quickly becoming one of its very best operatives. A qualified Ranger, helicopter pilot, and field medic, Lonzo is an invaluable GI Joe operative! Availability:
Storm Shadow: Tommy Arashikage, originally Cobra's greatest ninja, eventually broke free of that organization's influence. Turning his life around, he has since joined the GI Joe team, and works to make amends for his many dark deeds! Availability:
Sgt. Slaughter: a force of nature, Sgt. Slaughter was born on Parris Island, and raised to become as tough and mean as is humanly possible - a perfect Marine! The ultimate drill instructor, the Sarge is who GI Joe relies upon to keep themselves on their toes! Availability:
Mercer: an ex-Cobra Viper who has 'seen the light', Felix has turned on his former terrorist allies and is all about bringing them down. Though unable to work for the Joes in an official capacity, he has found a home in Sergeant Slaughter's Renegades! Availability:
Red Dog: a former pro football player, David Taputapu got sacked for unnecessary roughness. After a stint as a Hollywood stunt man, he was recruited by GI Joe, as the powers that be thought he'd be an excellent addition to Sgt. Slaughter's Renegades! Availability:
Taurus: Varujan Ayvazyan was a Turkish circus acrobat who did undercover work for Interpol, when he wasn't smashing two-by-fours with his face under the big top. An expert in over a dozen languages, Taurus was an ideal candidate to join GI Joe's Renegades! Availability:
Checkpoint: a former college wrestler and all-around big guy, Jared became a member of the military police upon leaving school, eventually rising to a position on the Steel Brigade, the GI Joe reserve unit. Of course, for some reason he hasn't been able to move on to the team full-time... Checkpoint comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Red Zone: ultimately booted out of the F.B.I. because he was too rough on criminals and their precious property, Luke was recruited onto the GI Joe team who saw that 'liability' as an asset. He now helps them out as a member of their reserve unit, the legendary Steel Brigade! Red Zone comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Rook: an expert behavioral analyst and master of no less than fourteen distinct languages, Andy was inducted into the GI Joe team since those guys are always fighting the world's worst terrorists. His skills unfailingly help them to dig up dirt on upcoming terrorist activity before it's too late! Rook comes in Classic and Saga styles!
the Ice Sabre: equipped with four separate machine guns and two rocket launchers, the Ice Sabre is a powerful snow and ice vehicle the GI Joe team can bring to bear on Cobra - or any other terrorists - foolish enough to oppose freedom and liberty at or near the world's poles. The Ice Sabre comes in Classic and Saga styles!
the Armadillo Mini-Tank: a tank in miniature, the Armadillo packs the fire power of four linked, 60mm cannons into a vehicle the size of a Ford ™ Escort ™. Though small, and having only one real weapon to speak of, it's fast and highly durable. Availability:
the Renegades' Warthog APV: a replacement for the Joes' old APC, the Renegades' Warthog Armored Personnel Vehicle does the exact same job, albiet in a smaller, more heavily armed and armored capacity. This makes it more suitable for special missions and the like. Availability:
